Name: Tethys Race & Class: Triton Sorcerer (Storm Sorcery) Age: 45 Alignment: Lawful Neutral Zodiac: Rooster Stats: 18 8 5 15 8 11 (I think the dice are punishing me for my sins T~T) Perk: 6 - Convincing: Permanent +2 to Cha and Proficiency in one Charisma Skill (Doubled if it is already obtained) Shortcoming:2 - Clumsy: Permanent -2 to Dex (Definitely rerolling this because Dex is important to me q.q) 8 - Slow: -10ft Movement Speed Fear: 99 - Panophobia: Fear of Everything
Background: Tethys was born in an...unlucky circumstance. His parents were travelling through by sea, to a destination now unknown, when a massive storm swelled up in an attempt to swallow them and their ship whole. Usually, they wouldn't have feared such a circumstance as even if the ship wrecked they could save themselves. However when the storm came, so did Tethys.
His mother went into labor as the ship was assailed. His father, not wanting to leave her side, stuck with her throughout the ordeal. The storm was strong, with destructive winds and bursts of lightning, and it ripped apart the ship with ease. His father was struck with some debris and wounded mortally, while his mother suffered complications due to the birth. They lived just long enough to place him safely within a vessel, letting the sea take him.
He was swept up by the powerful tide for who knows how long, freshly borne into the world and already alone. As he was brought along by the waves, they instilled within him an ancient and terrible power: that of the sea and storm. Soon the ocean deposited him on a beach on a far off island, where he was found by a fishing couple. The couple, having been wanted a child for years, took him in and raised him as his own.
However, Tethys' life wasn't an easy one. His adoptive parents lived in a small-minded fishing village and he was obviously unlike anyone else there. He was bullied and looked down-upon by everyone there. This, paired with his parent's various warnings of all the things residing in the world, fostered a hearty fear of all things under the sun within him.
Though this fear was not to be left alone, as most recently the power within him showed itself. When a storm unlike any other swept up and threatened his village, the like energies within himself reached out in answer. It was almost as if he became one with the storm and lost himself, but soon he regained himself and willed the storm to dissipate otherwise it would destroy his village.
But he found that the storm had raged for hours, guided unknowingly by his own hand as an ancient magic took hold of him. He was run off by the villagers quickly, though not before his parents had a chance to help him with rations and supplies. After all, he had defended their home from the wrath of the storm.
So now he is travelling, attempting to find somewhere he belongs. Maybe somewhere close to the sea. He always loved ocean views.
You sure not rerolling the 99 on the fear table? It pretty much makes you’re character unplayable as they would constantly be making sanity saves. I got 100 on the fear table when i rolled up my character and had to reroll it.

Fire bolt- Shoot a streaking ball of fire towards a foe and deal a measly 1d10 fire damage. Use eldritch blast instead.
Fireball - Drawing magic from your inner reserves, you unleash a devastating nuke that explodes in a circle, hitting multiple enemies, and burning them to a crisp with a godly amount of 8d6 fire damage. Make your DM’s fights look like garbage. It’s also a nice way of TPK your entire party and have them triggered at you for the rest of the week.
When Treenja arrives, if the farmer present, Treenja will talk to him. "You. Who paid for these?" After he is told Treenja gives a curt nod and say, "Thanks." With that information, Treenja has more respect for Ton. Treenja will give Ton his space by sitting a bit away, Treenja will sit and meditate while waiting for the rest of the group to arrive.

I would but I already used the reroll on the drawback. Which, as I'm considering it now, isn't all that bad tbh. But I don't think Ty would let me drop that reroll to retry the fear.

If I did that, I'd have to ask the same for anyone else in game... and seeing as we are already a good leg into the prologue, It wouldn't really work
Vanille smiles back at Ton as he introduces himself. "Vanille Lumani'i," she says, reaching out to return the handshake, though her hands are much too small in proportion to the half-orc's so she opts to shake his finger instead, stifling a bit of laughter. "The pleasure is mine as well."

Kellin takes a seat on a boulder nearby, then falls off of it onto his back. With a grunt he pushes up and sits with his back to the boulder instead. He pulls out his spellbook and studies it as they wait.
Tethys made his way warily to the farm. Getting to the town he was asked to was hard going since his invitation had been stolen, but he was directed to the farmhouse. He hadn't seen many people on his way, which is how he liked it really. People were hard to trust, frightening as they were. When he came into view of the farmhouse, he saw the carts and the people standing outside. His heart rate immediately picked up, frost gathering on the ground at his feet as his magic responded to his mood. He stopped and closed his eyes, trying his best to gather calm his breathing and still his heart.
He managed to right himself and take a few more steps forward, but stopped again. Now he was nervous about the carts, they looked old and unstable. They were also ladden with supplies, if one of them broke it could send everything scattering and possibly crush him. Or it could startle the mules, which looked quite feral to begin with, and send them in a charge. They weren't very powerful beasts of burden but he wasn't as physically inclined as the others.
He forced himself to walk forward just enough to be within ear shot of the few gathered outside "Hello? M-might I have a word?"
((Should I do a Sanity Save to see if he can calm himself before approaching the group? Edit: did the save, he's scared of everything BUT them XD))

((Okay, if Treewy (Argadan's player) doesn't respond by the end of Friday... I'm taking them off the roster))
"Why do we fight? That is the question of war"
((I messaged him since they are in my campaign too. lol))
Drow enthusiast
Lover of lore and magic.
-The White Crow-
(I have them in my campaign, and they haven't posted at all, so I'm not sure he's up for it)
Only in death does duty end.
((Good news, he's still around... he's just been busy (which I can understand since many of us here work)))

Fennys takes out 3 balls while the others are talking and starts juggling...
Performance Check: 9
A large thunk can be heard as she missed all three balls, hitting her head in the process.
Verna laughs a little.
Elra Skylash - Human Cleric | Vanzaren Tanidoni - Half Elf Wizard
Mindartis Liadon - Eladrin Barbarian | Naivara Siannodel - Half Elf Ranger
Arrila Evenwood - Half Elf Paladin | Callaphe of Setessa - Human Rogue

Treenja watches the antics of the others, checks the package and groans to himself. Are they all kits?!?

The Party is not what frightens you...it's their cart, their supplies, and even their livestock what has you on edge
