Jirel would look to Rose with a small grin. Keep trusting your instincts Rose. The barbarian would then look to Nadya with a nod and then to Zaf with a look of ‘after you’. The blonde would grip the hilt of her greataxe and prepare to strike. She’d follow up Nadya’s and Zaf’s opening attacks on this maiden.

Zaf eye smiled in return. "Well considering the difficulties I have had communicating and keeping up with the people of the north, can you blame me?" He asked, but hardly waited for answer. Rather after sharing a brief look at Jirel after, he broke out the staff with a flourish, before then tapping the butt of it against the ground. "No matter. Mother Moon may yet show some light on the situation." He said just moments in advance of a column of moonlight raining down on Caigreal's head alone, violently purging even a hint of darkness within it.

Then with another flourish and a sliding of feet, he took on a more defensive posture.

Low on health, Caigreal realizes that continuing the battle is a bad idea, and casts Dimension Door. Unless you can stop her somehow, she'll flee and this battle will end.

Sera has Mage Slayer and so will take an opportunity attack when she casts that spell, but other than that can't do anything.

Jasun lowered his hands. It looked like the battle was over. He sighed.

Unable to prevent the woman from teleporting away, Rose lets out a defeated sigh. "I-I'm sorry for not being very useful in that fight... But, um... just give me ten minutes and we can move on..." If given the time, she will quickly make use of it and begin praying.

Fourth Level Prayer of Healing - 27 hp for everyone

Before they move onto C8, Rose will quickly just look about the area for any missed loot.

Rose: Your search reveals a black star sapphire worth 3,000 gp, and a jar of earwigs, a trunk that holds a scroll of flame strike, a bejeweled skull worth 1,200 gp, and a leather sack containing 800 gp in assorted coins and small gems, further proving that Caigreal was a liar.

Area C8

As you approach this chamber, you see bright light leaking out from the room into the surrounding corridors. As you enter the room, you see that the source is a six inch diameter hole in the floor from which the energy spews like a fountain. Before you get to investigate more, however, four small winged creatures with golden skin and horns attack!

Jirel would feel her chest leap with hope as Sera swiftly acts in response to the mage. So close dear warrior.

The barbarian's brows would furrow at Rose's apology before her expression would soften. No one should feel that way. Everyone contributed and made an effort. And when Rose would ask for 10 minutes, Jirel would sweep the perimeter and keep an eye and ear out for any potential threats. Before she knew it, she would feel a familiar warmth of magic wash over her, mending her wounds. "Thank you Rose."

Jirel would be ready to proceed when the others were.

Moving to the next area, the blonde would squint her eyes: 17

"Oh do not feel too bad you two. Things were not so bad. It could've been far worse." Zaf calmly said while absently dismissing the spell. "Sometimes it is enough to put pressure upon a foe. And-..." He looks to Jasun and adds, "Because of your... particular personality, and having come clean before, she was undone in the end. So even if unintentionally, you protected everyone from her. And that is something very good." He offered as much.

Whether that is enough to raise the elf's mood or result some disparging remark, Zaf took any response that wasn't a question at him in stride, and merely found a place to wait as Rose sought to call upon some miracle. In the meantime, he would do his own prayer until the usual but faint unearthly gleam returned to his eyes.
