Jirel had literally prepared herself for the worst, yet with a simple tap on her shoulder and soft spoken encouragement from Rose, it all washed away. Just like that, she melted away her rigidity and released her muscles from the petrification that threatened her. The goliath would free a hand and place it over the firbolg's on her should. "I'll try to make wiser decisions..." She'd promise Rose her best to be more careful. With that, she'd close her eyes to prepare for her next attack.
And then... was that Jasun's voice directed at her? Was she on the right plane? But she felt inspiration from his words and would welcome them. She'd nod more confidently with his support.
"Thank you." She'd whisper under her breath and regrip her axe.
