General Malesinder falls at your combined assault. The armies of the Dragon Legion are easily able to beat their now leaderless foes and the camp is well and truly plundered. When you return home, you are rewarded by Commander Pharamol for your heroics. In addition to the two-headed eagle, he gives you a suit of copper Dragon Scale Mail, a javelin of lightning, four scrolls of Protection from Energy, and an Opal of the Ild Rune. Most of the next day, you spend celebrating your victory with the rest of the Dragon Legion. It isn't until the end of the day that Pharamol calls the five of you in for a meeting. "I have found a message in Malesinder's camp that troubles me. The siege of Spurhorn was only a precursor for something larger. The army that Malesinder attacked us with was just a portion of the army led by the Warlord Yrax. Now I believe that if Yrax is assassinated, his armies will scatter without a leader. I have asked much of you already, so I understand if you refuse me this request, but for the sake of Triaxus, will you enter the palace of Ivoryglass and kill Yrax for us?" As Pharamol finishes speaking, you all have a brief flashback of Baba Yaga's hut and the ravens dropping items in an attempt to give you a hint. You recall them dropping a tusk and a looking glass on a bearskin rug.

Apart from taking one or two of the scrolls Zaf was content to leave the rest for the others to take or hold on to at their leisure. As for the request, the Owlackocra would look once to the others, and then back to the commander with smiling eyes. "It is fortunate than that your request too happens to align with our own quest. Fate is certainly odd thing, isn't it?" He chirps happily.
"Though before we go anywhere, might you tell us more of this Yrax and Ivoryglass? I would say assassination isn't exactly within our wheelhouse. Rose will take the other two scrolls not claimed (unless Jasun wants one, in which she will give), and takes a look at the javelin and armor. Picking them up, she offers them to Jirel. “I-I’m not sure if you would want the armor, but I think the javelin should be yours. Y-you’re probably better suited to use it than any of us, I think...”
Afterwards, she listens intently to any information that could have been gathered about Yrax and Ivoryglass.

Jirel would look too Rose and the items she presented. Taking the armour as gently as she could, the barbarian would instead hold it up to Rose to size it up on her. “Best we keep you safe.” She’d say softly. Should Rose require assistance with donning the armour, Jirel would offer what help she could, considering she has never worn armour herself. And there was no hesitation from Jirel to accept a new weapon from Rose. With a few test moves and an exaggerated flourish, the barbarian would add it to her repertoire of weapons. She was ready to proceed.

Jasun was too preoccupied about Jezzika to worry about such insignificants. It appeared like something great had taken her attention away from him. Something really great. A threat, perhaps? A grave threat.
He half listened as people spoke, and personally didn't care about any loot. His mind went back to his patron's servant.
What could possibly preoccupy her mind so much that when he called out to her, she didn't answer.
Did it matter?
Not really.
He was anxious to finish this nonsense. The thought of spending more time with Sera as a travelling companion was an attractive incentive to finish this silly Baby Yaga crap. It didn't even matter to him anymore because ever since he began this journey in the name of knowledge and Elder Godness, it was nothing but heartache, pain, and a false promise.
It made him bitter, and embarrassed.
He didn't even feel like he belonged. Frankly, he didn't feel like expending energy to correct anything. To mend things. To form bonds. He knew why, too. But..yet..he didn't. Rose was a good person. She was trying. Exploring. She cared. Bird Person showed investment and skill. Nadya had not said a word to him since his eldritch revelation, and Jirel was literally shocked he would say anything to her at all, but he was convinced she would break him in half at the first wrong step.
The thought made him sour, and he sighed. He wasn't happy with himself, yet, too, wasn't happy with who he was with, either. He felt no connection.
He wanted to be someplace else. Even someone else. He was tired of being played, a puppet, strung along, and mostly..misunderstood. He didn't want to feel this way, so he looked at Sera, remembered how she called his name when he was at his lowest, and he smiled softly, even though she didn't look at him, or know he was looking at her at that very moment.
For some reason, it twisted his stomach to know what Jezzika would do to Sera if she knew he cared about her in the slightest regard.
And he did. And it made him afraid. There was nothing he could do about Jezzika, nothing in his power would make her change - much like the people he travelled with, and his situation.
"I am fine, mostly. I am een wonder of the mageecal hut and eets abeeleety to travel to deeferent worlds, but I am also a leetle beet scared of the posseebeeleety of dying far from Waldsby." If you have no more questions, the Commander dismisses you to go to bed. The next morning, you wake up, eat breakfast, and some of the dragonkin fly you out to the Drakelands. As you follow the map to Ivoryglass, you come across a wolf-like humanoid being assaulted by two giant fur covered insects with three mouths, four legs, and claws similar to a crabs. If you do nothing and keep going, the wolf-like humanoid will surely die.

A soft smile would tug at her lips while overhearing Zaf check in on Nadya. The ever observant Owlackocra thought to do what none of them had done (in a bit), and it was checking in on their guide. Although eavesdropping, the goliath would lend an ear to the maiden as well. She'd glance to Zaf and give him a nod of appreciation for his watchful eye. Much like Sera and Rose, they observed quietly and spoke up when it mattered. That was a quality Jirel admired in the warriors. They uplifted those around them and gave them the will to keep moving. Which even Jasun's been doing a little lately. The blonde would then place a gentle but warm hand on Nadya's shoulder to give a soft squeeze before retreating her hand back to her side. It was a gesture of reassurance that the barbarian would defend her, along with the others so they can return to the life they desired to build from there. That's all she found herself focused on.
The next morning, Jirel would find herself having to survive another beastly flight. She shouldn't have ate such a large breakfast... but she was starved after all of the battling. Her body craved and ravaged for replenishment. But she trudged on as the map bearer lead the way. From her sentry position, Jirel would watch from the back of the pack as always. Though, at the sight of the wolf-like humanoid being assaulted, she'd observe for a moment. There was two on one. The barbarian felt compelled to even the odds.
Initiative: 20
Kicking up into a trot, Jirel decided to test out Rose's Javelin, pulling it from her myriad of weaponry. She'd reel her arm back, and with a long stride, she'd hurl it with all her strength, sending it through the air to aiming to strike the first target as she'd close the gap between them. The barbarian would have immediately drawn her axe to follow up her throw with a hearty swing when she'd arrive at the second target.
Having been taught how to don armor, Rose has no issues with getting it on herself (though she does accept the help anyways, just because it was offered). In her new armor, Rose felt a little more secure, though she felt as if she needed a little time with the pieces themselves to get the full effect from them, which she does in due time.
Upon viewing the wolf-like humanoid in danger, the firbolg quickly points it out, though it seemed Jirel already put herself into action, and Rose would be helping soon enough.
