Bones nods, "So what do we know of this Falami so far? You found the spell book in her room, was there anything else that might have indicated travels? It would seem that she's had quite some travels and influence thus far."
The tiefling wizard ponders for a moment. "We know she's a good, that is to say accomplished, student of wizardry. That she has engendered at least one follower, the gnome Xyromyn. She left a few days ago and was supposed to return in another week. That she left the book behind suggests to me she plans to return. However, there is no guarantee and it may be she left the tome behind because she'd mastered it or copied it and wished not to have any link on her person from the school. I believe our first order of business is to question Mistress Xyromyn again to get whatever details she may have about her trip. I do not recall anything in her quarters that suggested a destination but we were focused on other things and her notes were written in what I believe is a personal cypher."
Looking at the others, he continues, "Do you think we should return to her rooms and search them again, perhaps try to break the cypher?"
"I guess doing a more thorough search of her room might give us a thread to pull, especially now we're looking for something specific to her whereabouts," Bones nods.
(OOC - I'm happy to, but check for majority ruling with the others. We may even be able to question our tag-along mage as well in case she knows something.)

Bones starts looking around the room for any signs of where Falami might have disappeared to, such as dust and dirt that might point us to a geographical location (Investigation: 18).

Mia would stand watch with her senses active, observing while the others searched and investigated. She’d keep an eye out in case anyone was watching them and would of course provide guidance when asked. “Perhaps there’s someone who may know where she went? Or maybe even more of her habits?” The warrior would eventually break her silence to think out loud to the others. After a moment she’d even bring a hand to her forehead, rubbing it a little. “Who was it that lead us to her? To here, again? Did they say where she was going?” She’d try to remember who that was that they conversed with and what they spoke of. “Perhaps they may have an idea?” Mialee would look to Bones and Talinian. “And if we still find ourselves at a ‘dead end’, my it begs to question, ‘where would one go if in this position?’, ‘What are the next steps?’” She’d pause. “If it were you who had fallen down this path, where would you go?” She’d ask hypothetically.
Divine Sense: As an action, you can detect good and evil. Until the end of your next turn, you can sense anything affected by the hallow spell or know the location of any celestial, fiend, undead within 60 ft. that is not behind total cover.
"The gnome, Xyromyn, was the one who led us here. I agree we should question her more. Wherever Falami was going, she told the gnome the journey and return would be done in approximately a week, of which 3 or perhaps 4 days have passed. If she was being honest, and if nothing has transpired to delay her, she should return in another 4 days, perhaps 5. That indicates her destination was no more than 3 days away but possibly as little as 2. This would allow for travel time to and from the school and 1 or 2 days to conduct her business. To cast a wider net, we should look at destinations between 2 and 4 days away. Allow me to think, for a moment. Mia, would you please provide some divine assistance to my thought process?"
Closing his eyes, Talinian tries to remember if there is anything of necromantic interest in range.

There is an old legion about an ancient battle field, but most people dismis it, because no one has ever reported back with info on it, several have claimed to make it there, but none have been willing to take another.
If you want to pre roll in the future, just make 1 roll, add nothing to the roll, and let me know what the modifiers are. That being said looking through her jurnel you find a patteren, it is different, and that pattern even has a pattern inside of it. But you make out enough to see that she did indeed try to cast the spell, and failed. You find that she used Xyromyn as a resorce. You find a note that talks about running low on scrolls, and hopefully she can talk the Magus into making her some. There are no notes about where she is heading out to, but she does point out that after here she needs to head to find new books.
Talinian tells everyone about the ancient battle field and suggests they interrogate the gnome with this battlefield in mind and the idea of getting new books.
So are you all going to find Xamyra to have her join your adventure?
What are you going to do to try and find Falami?

Make an investigation check, all three of you are welcome to make it, to see if you can find any kind of clue as to where she might have gone.
