Topsy scowls as Turvy makes a noise of frustration after being smacked with Eldrik's back swing. "Shouldn't we just leave?" the female deep gnome asks.
A pseudopod forms and lashes out at (1-2 Derendil, 3-4 Eldrik, 5-6 Ront) as they are the only party members standing adjacent to the wall targeting {6} Ront (Attack: 15 Damage: 6 plus 6 of acid damage.

The smell of the orc's sizzling flesh is disgusting...like burning bacon in battery acid. He swings the manacles again, refusing to back away from some stupid slime patch! Attack: 26 Damage: 13
Six repeats the sequence of manipulating the metal ring in his chest piece and sending blast of eldritch energy towards the creature! Attack: 16 Force Damage: 5
After Ront's swing the pseudopods stop moving but his manacles are now even more pitted (-2 to Damage). The party quickly realises that this area is a dead end and if they wish to continue their journey they will need to find another way. Consequently they turn and head back down the passageway before continuing up the left arm. After about 30 feet they reach a square shaped room, the floors of which are muddy and covered with about half an inch of water. On the southern (left hand side) and western (directly in front) the water appears a bit deeper. Dangling from the roof are another couple of grey pseudopods.

"Let's not risk what precious little in the way of weapons we have," Izzrak says. "It doesn't seem like they can move very fast, or maybe at all? So I suggest those of us who can attack from range do so, and we keep our distance."
He proceeds to send the same rippling energy toward the ooze wall that he'd used against the other one, while keeping himself firmly outside the room.
Can we get around the pseudopods without engaging them?
It is not possible to move through this chamber - short of entering the dark murky water along its edge - without being possibly struck by one of the pseudopods.
"Concur. Attack from range and disable the threat. Engaging..." Six states flatly, sending the same blast of eldritch force at the new creatures. Attack: 13 Damage: 3
Ront stands back, angry that he can't fight, but recognizing that acid-eaten chains aren't much help unless you were still wearing them!
Derendil will look around, feeling frustrated that their path is blocked. He starts fuming before running at the pseudopods before anyone can stop him and start slashing at pseudopods in a rage. (Reckless Attack)
Attack: 25 Damage: 11
Eldrik, not seeing another way out, follows the Quaggoths actions but calmer and more deliberately.
Eldrik's (nb -1 damage on manacles) and Derendil's actions coupled with the damage done by Izzak and Six quickly finish off the ooze. As they do so the entire party hears a voice in their heads "why do you have a fixed number of pseudopods and why are they of fixed length?"
Six of Eight cocks his head at the voice emanating from within his central processing core rather than coming from his auditory receptors. He responsively responds directly to the query internally, at machine-speed. "I was created in this form. While my appendages are potentially exchangeable, this is the ideal configuration for this chassis. It is possible that a more rapid reconfiguration would grant some advantages...how are you structured to allow this?"
Topsy and Turvy look around nervously — Turvy almost angrily — at the telepathic communication. When the construct responds verbally, the two look at him curiously, at each other, then back at Six of Eight. "You heard that too?" Topsy asks her brother quietly, not wanting to distract from a possible telepathic response to Six's verbal one.
As Eldrik scans the room he notices that 10 feet up the corridor and hovering about 2 feet off the floor is the skeletal remains of some humanoid creature, a pile of coins and a mace.
Eldrik looks at the floating skeleton, and tries to figure out why it is suspended. If he see's a creature, he'l try and identify it using his knowledge of the underdark.

Topsy and Turvy stand back and let the ranged fighters have at it. Topsy is curious about the murky water.
Perception: 3
Topsy can't tell anything (depth, condition, temperature, etc.) about the water.

OOC: Having seen the full extent of Eldriks (bad) luck, he is wary about retrying melee
Is anybody else doing something/anything. I am assuming that the party is in its standard narrow corridor/passageway formation?

The brother/sister duo are hoping the ranged fighters will do away with the pseudopods.

Derendil's rage calms down, and he just holds his big clawed hands to his head, muttering "Stay out of my head voices."
Eldrik just looks around the room for signs of where the telepathic communication may have come from.
