Jimjar calls down, "If you see anything poky but not too heavy, grab it for me, would ya? Maybe with a blade I could actually contribute to killing things."

(He's an orc...what do we think he's gonna grab?!!? Will give him a little sense, though...)Ront quickly scans the items at the bottom of the pool, and goes to grab a handful of gold pieces before remembering that he has no pockets or a pouch to keep them in - and a potential enemy moving towards him. So he grasps the dagger in one hand and the bracelet in the other. He tries to slips the bracelet on to his wrist, but will keep it around his fingers if it doesn't fit. Then he grasps the dagger in that hand and his mace in the other and turns to see what may be coming up behind him.
Six, meanwhile, continues to fire off eldritch blasts at the slime! Attack: 6 Damage: 1
As Ront looks up from grabbing the dagger and one of the bracelets he realises that the creature has followed him and is now in the entrance to the room he is in.
The party watches helplessly? as the creature slurps off after Ront and disappears from sight.
(OOC: In order to try and keep, this narrative going I'm going to make an Executive decision and describe Ront's actions. If this approach doesn't work for you as players and you think I'm going too far in reducing player agency please let me know).
Ront looks at the black pudding but unsurprisingly he can't work out what it might be thinking if indeed it was thinking anything at all and moves slowly clockwise around the pool. The creature follows him and at the end of the round Ront is at a position equal to 10 o'clock while the creature is at a position equal to 5 o'clock. The way out of the room now appears to be open so what does Ront want to do: a) keep playing chasey around the pool; b) leave the room and head back towards the corridors in the next round he can get back to the far side of the pit. c) grab one or more items from the pool - each item or handful of coins he grabs will reduce his movement by half and head back towards the corridors d) stay put until the creature catches up to him.
What does the rest of the party want to do this round?
With his hands full, Ront spits out an orcish curse and moves quickly back they way he came to reach the rest of the party (option b). There was safety in numbers, after all. When he can, he'll either toss or hand the dagger off to someone without a weapon already. "Here. Make yourself useful..."he'll grunt.
Hey, DM, back in #380, Topsy looked down in one of the pits. Did she see anything?
Topsy moves over to the edge of the pit and peers in to see if there's anything interesting down there. In order to get a closer look Topsy says to Turvey "hang onto my ankles will you" as she slithers over the edge. Topsy has a thorough look around and whispers "there are no exits here!" back to Turvey.
When Ront returns, Topsy tells him she didn't see anything in this pit, but maybe there's something in the others. She encourages everyone to move from pit to pit to check them out, relying on those with ranged weapons to beat back oozes first.

The party move to check the pits in Corridors 2&3 and find black puddings at the base of both. As they get to Corridor 1 they can just make out a black pudding flailing against the far side of Glabagool. As they stand in the area at the beginning of the four corridors they see black puddings emerging from the three southern corridors. At the same time they hear Glabagool's voice in their heads "my friends if you head down the corridor to the east I can block the puddings from getting to you!"
"Although there is no escape from that chamber, at least it will give us some time to plan a way to destroy these oozes one at a time. Let us follow the cube's advice." Six says to the group and heads back to the pool room.
The party is now safely ensconced - protected by Glabbagool - in the offshoot from the main complex. It is a rough-walled cave and water is pouring through cracks in the 10-foot-high ceiling. Given the rate at which the water flows in, the characters can easily conclude that the cracks were caused by the tremor they experienced, and it’s only a matter of time before the water floods the entire complex.
{So DM...we need a clue here. There is no way out of this room, which is flooding slowly. There was no way out anywhere else. There are black slime things that we can't seem to kill. Sounds like we're stuck.)

(OK - thought we had done that before - maybe it was just Six checking out the pool.)
While Ront and the others stare through Glabbagool at the dark mass of slime trying to find a way into the room, the construct begins examining the room more carefully, checking the cracks in the walls and ceiling. If he finds an area that looks weakened by the quake or the water dripping by, he will examine it closer... Investigation: 7

Six had looked at the cracks but the ceiling is 10 foot high. He calls to Topsy and Turvey "if you stand on my shoulders what can you tell me about the cracks in the roof?" Turvey climbs up onto the construct's shoulders and then Topsy climbs up on his shoulders. She looks closely at cracks and then says "I think the water is coming from some sort of underground river? We might be able to widen the cracks if we work at it?"

Izzrak will keep eldritch blasting the goo creature.

To do this Izzrak will need to cross the pit as the creature has disappeared following Ront.
DM - Stopping a god in his tracks
Ront clambers into and out of the pit and rejoins the party.
So now what does the party want to do ......?
DM - Stopping a god in his tracks
Ront describes the fountain, but that he didn't see a way out. Maybe one of the pits had a tunnel leading out of it?

Topsy and Turvy follow the construct, unclear how anything good could come from this situation.
Waiting waiting waiting ....

Perhaps you could explore the cracks.
