The Champion picks up the sceptre and he feels magical power emanate from it, but does not feel any of the negative effects Aliez did. The eyes on the sceptre that had closed when Selachai used the item open again. The Champion can attempt to figure out how to use the item during a short rest (it is an Arcana check), or if someone has identify, they can try to figure out how it works.
Ah, thank you, thank you all, Kenton says as the healing impacts him again. I am well. Fighting fit, as they say. He remains on his back resting. I never realised how beautiful the sky is. I should enjoy it more often. Did we win, by the way?
Dillyu has been looking at Oden with awe since the fight "Yes I heard the Dolphin Prince speak to you AND I saw the denizen of the eternal ocean he sent you! I knew you were cool, but a direct line to the Lord of the Undersea? Also, what is the death and destruction you are supposed to stop?"
Kenton is looking around, counting the various people he's recently joined. There was a.... another fellow. Vincent. Flintmyre? Flintmore? I don't see him - did he fall to the enemy? Blast, he seemed a good sort. The shock of coming so close to dying was severe but Kenton is trying to shake it off and come back to himself, so he stands and looks around at the people on the deck of the ship.

"I... don't know. It sounded like there was a threat greater than Selachai. Maybe Selachai was a mere pawn. I'm going back down there, that ritual site could contain clues. Would you accompany me?"
“No, seemed to be the same as mine... too bad. It’s the only reason I swim well”
"The same as yours..." Oden repeats, and he starts circling Reguh, focusing on the robe and trying to bring back what he felt when Deep Sashelas spoke through Selachai's robe.
Dillyu readily agrees to follow Oden, "I think you are right. I am happy to serve Deep Sashelas and assist you, especially if it stops these Sea Devils from harming any more of our people."
Although Oden's Horizon Walker Ranger subclass features won't kick in properly until his next rest, he can definitely feel a connection between Reguh's robe and the Elemental Plane of Water. It is significantly fainter than what he felt from Selachai's robe. The robe when it was 'awakened' (when Reguh cast a spell on it) also briefly appeared to be almost identical to Selachai's robe.
[Also, I know I alluded to it as DM, but in game for any character who didn't figure it out (even if the player did):]
All characters except Kenton (sorry, he hasn't been around for the comments that various NPCs have made) can make a DC15 intelligence check (Reguh doesn't need to make a check, he can just read the following):
As the watery robes "cannot be taken, only given" one would need to compel an owner to hand over the robe to get access to one (or have someone that possessed one to reward you with it or similar). If the owner dies, they can no longer give the robe to another person.
Both Reguh and Selachai attempted the first step of having the other hand over their robe in the battle by using the Command 'disrobe' (which was understood to just mean take of the robe, not completely undress).
Aliez swims back towards the surface. It is easy to notice that there are tears in her eyes and she is shaking as she goes up. Once she is on the ships, she finds a small corner under the stairs where no one would easily notice her. There she breaks down, hoping to hear any of the voices in her head explain what she had heard when the fish people had knocked her out.
After a while of sitting under the stairs, she returns to the ships deck puffy eyed. There she will walk up to Oden and tell him, "Your home has been avenged. I know it cannot bring back the lives lost but I hope that it does lessen the pain."
She will then find Kenton, "That hurt. A lot. How are you feeling?"
I am well,Kenton says to Aliez, glad of our victory, and healed, by the graciousness of the team. He doesn't sound quite as convincing as he hopes. You all fought bravely; I confess it felt good to fight alongside such daring companions once again. I have, of necessity, been working alone for a few years, for the most part. But you, Aliez, you look... somewhat troubled. Might I inquire as to why?
After making his way back onto the deck of the ship, Reguh plops down. He is utterly exhausted and bloodied from the few hits he took (1 hp remaining). “I’m glad that’s over” he says to everyone and no one.
"Agreed," Beatrice says, collapsing next to him. She lies down next to him, sprawling her limbs out in all directions, and starts to doze off in the sun.

"There's definitely more to it than it shows. I feel a weak connection between it and the Elemental Plane of Water. Maybe it draws power from that plane in a similar way to how I suspect my sword does. I'm going back down to where Selachai was doing her ritual to check for clues to her motivation or source of power. Do you feel up to it?"

"Thank you. I'm afraid, after all of this, there are many unanswered questions. Rest, you've been through a lot." Oden is not sure what causes puffy eyes. Probably tiredness.
Oden lets everyone know he's going back in, then dives with whoever feels up to it.
"They've ransacked my home before Palma Flora, too. They've killed my parents then, and my youngest sister later. Vengeance... it's not something that one should let dictate their path in life. Even so, I fear it took the better part of me these past two days. I feel no great satisfaction in our victory today. I'm just... relieved we haven't lost anyone. I hope the risk we took will be worth it in the grand scheme of things. It must be. Even Deep Sashelas intervened."
"I suspected the island wasn't the only home you had lost to the sea devils, and I am sorry for your loss. Stories of sahuagin atrocities are far too common with our kind. I lost my entire family in sahuagin raid as a young child and it was only by the grace of the King of the Undersea that I survived. I also understand the want for vengeance, it was what drove me for many years until I felt the hatred start to consume me...." he trails off, lost in thought or memory.
Kenton stays above, talking to the crew of the ship and the other members of the party, those who stay behind. He's still badly injured and has no hit die to spend, so he's also spending the time tending to his wounds to minimise the damage and risk of unsightly scars.
The Champion nee Vincent Flintmore looks over at Kenton as he asks after him. “I feel... more like myself than I ever have. Like my past was just a dust cloth, protecting what was beneath til it was ready for use.”

"We won, yes. The fight, and maybe more." Oden says, stil feeling Deep Sashelas' reassuring words ring inside him. "Did you hear that, too, Dillyu?"
When everyone is on deck, he'll ask about Selachai: "The witch didn't make it, then? Her magical robe... Did anyone get it?"
“No, seemed to be the same as mine... too bad. It’s the only reason I swim well”

Dillyu follows Oden. On the dive down he asks in Aquan:
"I've heard mention of your vengeance against the sahuagin more than once. Can I ask, was it just the island, or was there something else?"
[Anyone who isn't diving and wants to can take a short rest.]
Oden answers in Aquan:
"They've ransacked my home before Palma Flora, too. They've killed my parents then, and my youngest sister later. Vengeance... it's not something that one should let dictate their path in life.
