Lu-lu sighs dejectedly, “You’re right, I’m not the stealthiest....” she pouts until Vincent offers to stay up with her, she looks up at him with a pouted lip, and nods, “Yes, please...” Then her face lights up, “we could make hot cocoa and make it a sleepover? Oh! Thanks Lif!”
Cora, you evening goes by uneventfully, there are no screams, no dead elves. It seems the murderer doesn't strike tonight. You do find a really good street vendor though. You get a meat pie from him and he tells you a bit about what has been happening. "Yeah awful thing about the murders. Dead elves found every couple of days. Heads lopped clean off. City Watch ain't been no use. Though, most of the bodies have been found near the Ship Street." You are able to poke around Ship Street. It is full of taverns and a few warehouses. Nothing stands out to you.
Lif does in fact, know how to make hot chocolate. After getting some help lighting a fire, Lif hands each of you a nice steaming mug of hot chocolate. It is a long nigh waiting for Cora.
The meat pie was tasty. And the guy selling it told me some interesting things. Not just a regular murder, but heads rolling, too. But, why elves? And, why the beheadings? Trying to make a statement perhaps. Plenty of taverns here. If it wasn't so late, i'd drink myself stupid like the old days. Maybe get into a fight just so I have an excuse to pound out my frustrations. Have Aerik carry me home cuz I couldn't walk straight from drinking and fighting. He'd tell me I was reckless, and impulsive, and laugh at me. Him and I enjoyed the power we had been given, but even though I was twisted and corrupt, he was too - but less so. He knew me, and knew why I did all of those unprincipled things, and he still stood by my side. Each and every time I ****ed up.
But he couldn't do any of those things now, cuz he was dead.
Cora eventually came back to Trollskull tavern, weary from a long night.
Drusilla is, with little amounts of success, attempting to calm Lu-lu down and have her drink the hot chocolate that Lif made while she worries about the multiple horrible things that could have happened to Cora when the aforementioned individual finally returns to Trollskull Tavern after a long night. "See? There's Cora, perfectly safe. Unless disciplined, ones mind will wander and tell itself all sorts of horror stories about what could be happening when in reality what is actually occurring is far less exciting. That's why it is far better to place your trust in the gods' ability to watch over your companions, or at the very least, your companions' ability to watch over themselves."

Lu-lu's eyes light up as Cora's grumpy self walks through the door, and she runs up to her with a massive mug of hot cocoa. "I've been worried sick! Did you find what you were looking for? Did you get the bad guy? or girl? Here, Lif made cocoa, this one is for you..." She pushes the bowl with a coffee mug handle attached to it into Cora's hands, then turns back around to sit next to Drusilla beside the fireplace, "Knight-Educator Gwing might be upset with me if I wake everyone up back at the tower, so is it alright if I stay here tonight, everybody?"

Vincent passes Cora a look at he takes a sip from his drink, a small smile forming on his face when Lulu so readily approaches the grumpy rogue with a cup of hot cocoa. “Gotta have faith every now and again,”He would murmur to himself. Assuming Cora answers the nosy Genasi, the fighter will merely listen, and when Lulu inquired if she could stay, he cocks a brow. “Now why would that be a problem, lass? You’re always more than welcome to stay. Ah, well, to me anyway”

Lu-lu Stretches her arms out with a great big yawn, before padding over to Vincent, placing a peck on the top of his head, "Thanks, old man." She giggles before settling back in to one of the arm chairs, wrapping a blanket back around her, and curling up. Lu-lu smiles at Drusilla, "You were right, I'm supposed to trust in my faith... I'm sorry I was all in a tizzy, Ms. Drusilla..." She looks over in the direction of the bar, "Hey Lif? Would it be ok, if I had another cup of Cocoa?"
Heishe gives Cora a nod as the rogue comes in the door, taking another sip of her cocoa at the bar. "Well, if we're all here, we should likely have a proper discussion about what we're doing with this place. Personally, I'm all for turning it into a place of business, owning a tavern opens up quite a few...opportunities."
"Worried sick?"Cora squinted at Lu-Lu as she shoved a cup of cocoa upon her. "What are you, my mother? You barely know me. I can handle myself. What is this?"she sniffed it. "Why are you all still awake?"
“Just because we barely know you, doesn’t mean we can’t care about your well-being. I admit, I know you can handle yourself amazingly well, and therefore shouldn’t have been worried, but I couldn’t help it. We stayed up to make sure you got home ok, and..” Lu-lu looks over at Heishe for assurance, “so we could discuss something?? As far as what that is, it’s hot cocoa... you DO know about hot cocoa yes?

Heishe shrugs. "Would anyone prefer for this to just be a base of operations for us, no tavern? Or is everyone all right with us making it into a place of business as well? Does anyone have rules they want to put in place, requests, et cetera."
Lu-lu lights up, “Oooh this would be an awesome tavern!!!! But how are we gonna afford to fix it up right? My only request is an extra bedroom, since there are only 4 right now...”

"I have no preference."Cora said. "However, if we can afford to renovate this place and have it make us some money without it taking most of our "adventuring" time - I would be fine with that. Hard work and some coin, i'm all for."
She spoke to the air. "Lif, would you please make me a sandwich. I haven't eaten in a while. Thank you."
Lif brings Cora a sandwich , it isn't great, not really Lif's expertise. Lif also brings another cup of cocoa to Lu-Lu.
OOC: There are plenty of rooms to repurposed one of the non-bedrooms to a bedroom. Once fixed up, you can hire people to help run the tavern and it will (probably) make money every ten day, it depends on the business roll.
Cora winced ever so slightly at the sandwich, but she let it go. She plucked out the tomato - she didn't like em. It wasn't the greatest sandwich, but she knew it wasn't Lif's specialty. She ate it quickly - she was hungry, and "washed it down" with the cocoa.
"A place of business as well as a base of operations doesn't sound too bad. A nice bit of side income doesn't hurt anyone, I think,"Vincent nods, finishing up his cup of cocoa. "Thank you Lif." He then leans back in his seat and gets comfortable, passing a side look over to Cora. "Take it the mission didn't go well?"
