„So a rescue mission...., is anyone of you able to dig a tunnel quickly? I could create a hut to hide us from their view if someone can tunnel from hut to the forrest, we could disappear without them noticing.“
(Everyone would know by now that, unless you all get your items that pull you, including Latrius, no more will appear until that does happen. So, if Latrius is held captive here, you can each get this next item, but the following one, if there is one to come, will not appear.)
Kierro glances toward the forest. "They captured him alive rather than attempt to kill him, that at least is a relief."
He thinks a bit. "Which makes me wonder if we were to contact them again, and offer to take him back to the beach and keep him here, if they would allow it."
"Do we need to? Do we want to spend our time making sure he doesn't go off and try again?" Honor asks. "If we let them keep him locked up for a few days while we work on getting our ship fixed up, and we don't send anyone to retrieve him, then the rest of us are respecting the wishes of the residents of the island, and they may be more likely to release him to us when we're ready to go, than if more of us ignore their demands. I don't want to have to babysit Latrius, let them do it."
“I would suggest contacting them once more, proposing that we retrieve Latrius peacefully now or right before we leave. If they refuse that, a rescue mission would in fact be necessary. I’m sure we can all agree that we can’t leave him behind.”
Esmerelda says nothing although she watches the situation unfold carefully. As she does this, she focuses for a brief moment on each of the Dragonlords and sets up a latent network of telepathic communication with them. She then spends a quick moment to recuperate some of her energy. One group of people seems to be oddly resilient to her mental communications, but after two attempts she decides against spending more resources.
Using 3 Psionic Dice (4 Used Total):
As an action, choose one or more creatures you can see, up to a number of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus, and then roll one Psionic Energy die. For a number of hours equal to the number rolled, the chosen creatures can speak telepathically with you, and you can speak telepathically with them.
Die 1 (Kierro, Naivara, Honor): 1 Hours
Die 2 (Nadariel, Kyrian, Leto): 5 Hours
Die 3 (Sinder, Palvin, Catisha): 2 Hours
Every hour would be the equivalent of a short-rest and so she will use Psionic Recovery as a Bonus Action 2 times and recover 2 spent Psionic Dice. (2 Used Total)
As the second group would expire too quickly to be useful, Esmerelda re-establishes the link.
Die 4 (Nadariel, Kyrian, Leto): 7
(3 Used Total)
(OOC: Would Esmerelda know about the next item not appearing until we all retrieved the current items? She hadn't been with the group before this so I'm not sure... This will dictate her actions in this particular instance.)
"If you want to make the offer, Kierro, go ahead," Honor replies. "For the rest of you, if you're so bored, perhaps the Captain can put you to work and we can get out of here faster. Or see if you can't catch us some fish or something to eat."
"A full on assault will not be easy, even with your fireballs," Leto says. "They have a significant force, seem very well trained, and have set up defenses. Perhaps we should simply wait and see if he is somehow successful, or perhaps hope that they kill him so that we may meet again and continue with our task at hand."
”Are you alright at the moment? Can you tell your captors that the rest of us are proposing to send one of us to take you back and hold you here until we leave? That might be your only way out. Send back their response.”
(It is about 5 hours after Latrius left the beach.)

"How about we let them keep him, and we promise to take him with us when the ship is ready to leave?" Honor suggests.

„I would vote for a rescue and for the same reason as Sinder too.“ Nadariel sais.
So are you doing anything here? Say in the 2 hours after Leto told you Latrius was taken captive...

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
"If you want to make the offer, Kierro, go ahead," Honor replies. "For the rest of you, if you're so bored, perhaps the Captain can put you to work and we can get out of here faster. Or see if you can't catch us some fish or something to eat."

Kierro looks to the purple tiefling. "Leto would have to contact them, as before, but I'd be willing to be the one to go out and retrieve Latrius."

"Can we send the message to them, first?" Kierro asks Leto.
For fireball targets... There are several familiars flying in the sky overhead...
“On second thought, let me try this.”
He sends another message of sending to Latrius.
