The inmp sees a chest atop the column. It doesn't see anything of concern.
As a note the stairs that spiral up around the column are built into the column. Under them is just part of the column, getting taller under the stairs as the stairs angle up the outside of the column. By the time the stairs reach the top, nearly 360 degrees around the column, the area under it reaches the entire height of the column. Not sure if I am describing this correctly, but it is like a path in the side of a mountain, spiraling up with the mountain filling in under it.
Tapping the ground with his staff to the ground, Leto begins to fly off the ground and gently floats to the top of the spiral where his imp is waiting. Landing at the top he checks the chest just to be safe ((10)), and out of a bit of paranoia Dispels any magic on the chest before opening it up.
From this chamber Naivara's item is only a bit South and a bit East, about the same amount in each direction. Likely only a room or two away at this point. There is a tunnel that leads East out of this chamber.
Gently landing on the top and opening the chest, Leto sEd’s a surprisingly clean and well kept cloak. Pulling it out and giving it a shake to rid the dust and minor wrinkles, he tosses it around his neck and his eyes flash, some of their glow remaining even after he comes back from his flashback. Nodding to himself he directs his imp to clean up the coin, walks to the edge of the platform and steps off, falling almost until the floor, letting Fly stop him and bring him safely to the ground, his new cloak dropping around him. Looking around he almost seems to see everyone in the room in a new light, and grins a bit to himself as he recognizes those around and the gods they serve.
”It’s true then. Those fools of gods honestly thought, in their jealousy and fear of us, that they could destroy us! Yet the short sightedness of even these ‘gods’ is shocking. Did they think we would not receive help from those we did to keep us safe? Those who helped to bring us here?”Bringing his right hand up in a fist, the long tattoo down his arm, ending in a form of dragon head on his hand almost seeming to shift and move a bit as Leto grimaces. As if about to say something he pauses, and instead adds, “yes… well. We are on the path towards redemption now.”
Turning to Morgan as he continues to absorb his power and memories, saying, “You have chosen well. And will be rewarded for your faith. Let us continue.” He then follows after the ranger, acknowledging Saint with no more than a simple gesture to follow.
“Redemption comes in many ways.”Leto replies, grinning. “And please, do not exaggerate. Though murder often has it’s place, maiming is not my style. Too messy.”
Gripping his staff tightly his, already now faintly glowing eyes, gain a bit more a a deep primordial glint to them. Floating by the pillar and stairs (while Fly lasts) he simply raises an eyebrow in surprise seeing the trap that he’d narrowly avoided. Approaching the door being checked for traps he looks through the walls to see what is on the other side.
I took ghostly gaze for my invocation. Leto can now see through walls up to 30ft.
"Killing rarely has its place, maiming involved or not." Kierro says softly as he accompanies them. It sounds less like a rebuke and more like a gentle correction, much like how his general demeanor has changed since gaining his last treasure. More thoughtful, less impulsive.
Leto feigns covering up a laugh that escapes at the Paladin’s words but doesn’t bother to reply, clearly amused at how little these useful idiots understand him. “Drunk before stealing” he repeats to himself with a chuckle. “How quaint.”
“Here is some food for thoughts, if you strip a god of his divine power and turn him into a mortal, would you consider that maiming and murdering?” Nadariel asks while mocing towards the next exit.
Kyrian does look thoughtful for a second. "Maiming perhaps, however I would probably just kill them if I went through all the trouble to make them mortal. Not that it matters, though. As long as the gods don't get in my way, I don't give a damn how powerful they are or how long they live."

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
"I'd not consider it maiming, nor directly murder, but you've caused them to be able to die, so I think they'd consider it as such," Honor says. She turns to Naivara as she asks them to stop. "I'm happy to stop discussing gods," she says. "Which direction next?"
The passage to the East has no door, so you find a tunnel that runs ten feet, then opens up into another chamber.

A group of the flame-beings you encountered previously guard this chamber. They guard the door to the South, which is a double-door, looking ornate, with a firey mural covering it.

Lol. Not trying the stairs then huh?
