Kyrian flies back to the castle just in time to hear Kierro's thoughts "Speak for yourself! If these attacks don't stop soon, I am gonna get pretty mad. Sooner or later one of us might end up getting hurt a little too bad, and then I will have to go up there and make a mess of them. And I am not really in a 'kill everything in a blind rage' mood right now, so it really would be unfortunate."

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
Honor comes down as well to see if Emmy has managed to catch anything. "I don't think they're going to stop, and I'd like to be better prepared. Is it possible to get some arms or at least a stock of weapons for the castle? It couldn't hurt to have more ranged options." She punches Higgul's shoulder apologetically.
Caradran sneers as she walks back to join the others, "We can handle whatever they throw at us. We control dragons for god's sake." The green Dragonborn looks at the others, "There is no harm in being prepared, and I agree that we should acquire ranged weaponry and figure out who is attacking us. I just don't think it is enough to warrant any real danger."

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Kierro arches a concerned eyebrow at Kyrian before glancing over his shoulder. "The dragons can handle much of what is thrown at them, but not us. Suppose those giants managed to close the distance - one of us cannot survive long against power of that magnitude, Caradran. That's what has me concerned - the danger is very much real."
He pauses for a beat, taking a step or two to the side. "All of this happened within one afternoon of leaving Mintarn. The mainland is several weeks away, another attack is bound to happen at some point."
Ive was in her gaseous form form, she could still use inate magic and breathweapon in that form ( at least that is how i understood it). But since her spells are not that effective and her dragon breath didn’t recharge, she turns into her dragon form to add a little bite to her attacks.
My mistake then, I had her in her dragon form already. I'll try to do better next time to keep track of that better.
Between Emmy and Chysen they are able to catch one of the falling giants and carry them up to dump them on the cloud-ground of the fortress. The giant is unconscious, and dieing, but Kierro would likely use his staff to keep them from doing so. Do you heal them so they are conscious, or simply keep them from passing away, leaving them unconscious?
Higgul Stands near Honor, frowing at the massive giant laying on the fortress grounds. "I think that it was unwise to save one of them." He mutters to Honor. "We know why they were here, and, likely, who sent them. Why save one that we will likely only need to fight again?" He seems surly, more than normal, likely due to being completely inefectual in this combat.
Morgan Strides alongside Leto as they approach the group aorund the prone giant. He is grinning, clearly enjoying this more than a bit. "Want me to get answers from them?" He asks Leto with a raised eyebrow. "I bet I can get them to spill anything after a couple hours in the dungeons with me..."
Leon Approaches Zambunth, his eyes intense as he glances to the various Dragonlords and other dragons around. "I must insist we leave this place." Leon tells the incarnum dragon. "I cannot protect you in this place, or with these... beings." He looks to where the giant is laying. "The enemies of these are growing, and I do not feel this is a place where you can be protected, or be safe for long." He turns back to the incarnum. "Allow me to take you from this place."
Zambunth, The Clever "I cannot leave here." The Incarnum speaks to Leon. "I will relinquish you from my service though, as I do not believe there is anything to gain from forcing you to serve me still. Return home to your own people and know that you go with my respect and gratitude."
Palvin Stands close to Naivara and the Song dragon. He remains silent as his steel-gray eyes take in the prone giant.
Ymephis - Gentleheart "Please do not let them harm him further." The Song dragon says to Naivara. "They have defeated him, clearly, now just let him go and leave us in peace." "That is the issue." Palvin says, glancing to her. "If we simply let him leave, then he may be able to take information on us back to those who sent him."
iveodaenth - the Mysterious Turns back into her cloud form and moves away a short distance, unsettled by the violence.
yrsaintinth, the Quiet Stands, statue-like, near Leto as they join the group near the prone giant.
Piazet, the Eternal One Returning to his human form, he waits for word from Latrious on what shall be done.
Fraty, the Scary One Stands statue-like, mimiking yrsaintinth.
Chysen, the Calm Drops his burdon onto the cloud ground and then nods to Kierro, as the gold dragon transforms into his human shape. "What do you wish to do with him now?" He asks Kierro
Emmy, the Swift Once the giant is on the ground, she zips off, keeping watch for more threats.
Kierro's wings manifest once more as the giant is dropped to the ground, though they appear only faintly. His palm glows warmly as he spares the giant from death. He turns and approaches the group once more, speaking softly to Ymephis. "I will not attempt to harm him - I only wish to obtain answers that would give us guidance in regards to who wishes to pursue us and why, as well as what we can do to avoid further conflict."
He turns back to the giant. "I would, however, request that you all stand ready in the event that they do attack. Does that appear to be a sound plan?"
Leto chuckles and says to Morgan, slightly under his breath, "Let's see what the others can learn first. If your skills are needed we'll find a way to get you some alone time with it."
"Before you wake him up, we should also make sure the giant has no weapons or items of value," Honor says. "Then yes, a number of us standing by can ensure enough power at the ready should they make any aggressive move." (To Higgul, Honor shrugs, and replies in a murmur. "I had hoped it would be dead already, but if we are to be pursued we need any information we can get.")
Caradran just stands quietly off to the side and waits for the giant to wake up. She watches the others with great interest as they go about their preparations.
Kyrian grins at Kierro "Speak for yourself, Angel Boy. I reckon that I could take one or two gods, and those giants would have been toast if they came within range of my swords. The reason they stayed far away was probably because they know most of us favour combat in close quarters."
Fraty inches herself towards yrsaintinth, gently tapping her on the shoulder (Or flank if she is in dragon form) before dashing to hide behind one of the dragons who is still in their draconic form.
"Before you wake him up, we should also make sure the giant has no weapons or items of value," Honor says. "Then yes, a number of us standing by can ensure enough power at the ready should they make any aggressive move."
"They don't appear to have physical weapons, only ones summoned from lightning or wind." Kierro replies. "However, when I heal them it will be only enough such that we are more than able to stop him if he becomes violent. Stand ready, please."
Once everyone nods in the affirmative, Kierro moves to the unconscious giant, casting a lv 1 cure wounds. A warm light pulses through the giant's body, and Kierro stands before him as he awakens. "Be still. We will not attack so long as you do not, and are able to answer some questions that we have of you."
The giant glances around at the assembled and looks grave. Then they suddenly are just gone, vanished completely...
One with the Storm (3 Actions). The giant vanishes, dispersing itself into the storm surrounding its lair. The giant can end this effect at the start of any of its turns, becoming a giant once more and appearing in any location it chooses within its lair. While dispersed, the giant can’t take any actions other than lair actions, and it can’t be targeted by attacks, spells, or other effects.
The giant can’t use this ability outside its lair, nor can it use this ability if another creature is using a control weatherspell or similar magic to quell the storm.
A storm giant quintessent has no need for castles or dungeon lairs. Its lair is usually a secluded region or prominent geographic feature, such as a mountain peak, a great waterfall, a remote island, a fog-shrouded loch, a beautiful coral reef, or a windswept desert bluff.

Honor swings her morningstar through the air where the giant used to be with a curse. "Well, I suppose if nothing else that means they weren't being made to fight us under duress." She scowls at the empty air. "Next time, we leave them dead when asking questions."
