"I believe only you can answer those questions." Elmenster says to Kierro, his eyes then looking to the others. "From the vision, I would say that the majority of the destruction was caused by infighting in your own ranks. The gods themselves were not a threat to you in your full power." He nods to each of you. "Right now they are likely powerful enough to stand against you, which is likely why they are acting now, instead of waiting to see if you can play nice among your own peers." He puffs on his pipe thoughtfully for a moment. "In the end, it will depend on you, as to what happens. If you can have peace among you, then you can likely live wherever you wish, and the realms will simply have more powerful beings walking through them." He turned towards the expanse of sky beyond the edge of the cloud land of the castle. "Until then though, you will have to deal with what those who wish to stop you send against you. My hope is that you will now know why they do so, and that they will not back down as it is a holy calling to them, and, most anyway, see it as an attempt to save their very world."
“I imagine those of us currently traveling together can manage that, and hopefully leave as many as possible who attack alive.” Kierro responds, glancing down at the ring on his finger, then to the others. “That raises a question though - others of our kind might have been banished here as well, and are far more destructive in their tendencies. Would a calamity of the scale you’ve shown happen with many of us infighting, or would even two be enough? Because that would mean that they can destroy without fear of retribution from any of us who might want to stop them.”
"I cannot answer those questions." Elmenster says with a frown at Kierro. "Nothing like you has been seen or documented by any I trust. I would suggest you try to work out some agreements and find better ways of handling disagreements among your kind." He glances up at the sky then, as if listening to something. A sour expression twists down his lips. "Been here too long it seems, best be off before someone comes seeking me..." He nods to each of you, then is simply gone.
“Farewell. And thank you.” Kierro nods to Elmenster as he leaves. He hears Naivara out and responds: “Without a doubt. And I agree with what most of you have said - this alliance of ours is likely to end once we have restored ourselves.” He pauses for a moment to think. “Disagreements will come - they always do. However, escalation into open hostilities will lead to the destruction of this world, in addition to the resurgence of the one who sent us here. We will once more lose everything. And we will likely not get another chance. We can all agree on that, yes?”
Caradran just listened quietly when Elmenster was talking, but now that the old man had left, she speaks up, "As long as our goals align, I won't be any trouble. However, our enemies are a different story. I suggest we make haste to our next source of power so as to avoid any sort of altercations. While not lethal by any means, this constant risk of being attacked is quite tiring and I, for one, would love to find myself at the point where these trivialities are no longer a problem before we discuss any future agreements."

"If the prior two encounters have been anything to go by, we have several days between these attacks and several weeks before we make landfall, even going by the fastest route. Plenty of time to discuss it." Kierro says, watching the clouds drift under them. "And besides, the time when our goals align is far less of a worry. What is important is when they don't. Will you all be able to keep from coming to blows with each other then?"
He pauses a moment, then sighs. "I suppose that was a rhetorical question. The fact is, we must, if whatever world we choose to inhabit is to stay intact..."
Another pause, longer this time as he lets his point sink in. "...I believe it's my turn to cook tonight. I'd better get started."

Dinner that night is warm and uplifting. Rather plain, as create food and water doesn't give much to work with, but cooked with love. And magic fire.
Caradran chimes in, "Well I sure hope that was a scouting ground because if that's the best fighting force that they can muster, then they should be very worried." She seems to be messing with her hand and trying to recreate the appearance of Leto's tiefling skin. Not quite getting it immediately, it takes her a few tries before she matches the correct skin color and begins trying to match the appearance of texture.

Palvin "What do we do about Elmenster's warnings?" He asks Navara after the sage has left. "I mean, even us dragons are young compared to that one, and he never just hsows up for the fun of it..."

She sighs and glances to Honor. "Those harpies were definetly bad, as harpies normally are, but those storm giants are usually friendly enough."
Zambunth "Then they should stop to ask our objective instead of just attacking." The incarnum dragon says with a frown for Emmy. The next 3 days of travel move along without much to change. The next day everyone aboard the castle would be able to sense the dragon turtle ahead and below, in the waters along your route.

As they move back inside, Nadariel mentiones one last thought: „you realise, that those birdies were scouts…“
Kierro replies: “One harpy would serve as a good scout, but twenty seven including three matriarchs is an attacking force, not a scouting one.”
"A combination of both perhaps," Naivara says, watching the skies as they move.
