You recall that some gods of the old world had great hunts, where they gave the power of flight to their hounds and strode across the air itself as they sought off worthy prey. This reminds you somewhat of that, though wolves are far different from hounds, and what wolves could be heard from such a great distance with the thunder rolling under you...

On hearing the sound of the wolves, Maril rides Undoth up and strains her ears to listen, and perhaps identify the curious sounds. She tries to recall if she had read anything about this in the castle library

Maril can definitely hear the wolves just fine, as well as that strange rythmic thumping sound. It sounds like footsteps as she continues to listen. As much as she considers it though, she cannot imagine how, or why, wolves would be heard up here above the Sea of Swords.
"I am called Deorvontem." The dragon informs Kierro with a anoyed sound in his voice. "Do not speak to me unless I speak to you. The only one of you I find remotely interesting is Kyrian there..."
Kyrian chuckles "Well then, now that we are all acquainted, how about we get a move on? Wouldn't want to waste time with which we could be doing....well, anything."
He turns around and starts to move out of the cave, pausing at the narrowed area to wait for the rest of the group.

Yuno had already started to move out of the cave while the group was talking to the dragon. When she would exit the cave though, she would wait for the others to arrive. She would be talking to Tangy to pass the time, mostly complaining about how boring it's been.
Leaving the cave system, you come back up onto the island's surface. The force dragon is a meer ripple as it walks, disconcerting to be sure, as you can sense it but can only really make out the outline of its body when it moves. without any real need to delay, you take off, the majority immediately plunging into the storm that swirls a distance from the island in all directions, the air too-thin in the eye of the storm for you to fly upwards. Eventually though you all come out in the air above the storm, where Maril and Honor still fly with their dragons.
Everyone
Those from the island have rejoined you above the storm. You all are back at the castle now and can speak of anything you wish, the castle continuing its relentless path Eastward.
Honor will have kept an eye out for any sign of the wolves until the others leave the island, and reports what she heard and knows to the others. "Could be they're getting more direct about hunting us. But if that were the case, I don't think they'd be likely to miss us this easily."
Kierro nods respectfully to the dragon, keeping quiet as they take off into the storm. He hears out Honor's description of the wolves. "That's... concerning. I don't think they're actively hunting us, per se. They don't need to; we're heading toward the mainland where they might be in wait."
The castle continues to fly East. The force dragon settles into one of the towers, near Kyrian, but seems uncaring of the other dragons and dragonlords in the castle. The next day, about midday, the howling of the wolves begins again. This time they are coming from ahead and north of the castle's position. From the sound you would guess they are heading from North to South, and should pass a distance East of the castle. The strange rythmic pounding noise is also louder.
Yuno was not in the castle during the initial sound of the wolves and howling. She gets out of her room and asks, "What's... that noise? The pounding?"
Yuno Fesyss, your gray dragon, shrugs. "The rythmic sound was there yesterday too. I don't think anyone knows what is causing it." She glances out towards the sounds, which have been growing louder as you talk. "I suppose someone could go and check it out..."

The dragon seeming to agree, Kierro leads the others out, turning back to the dragon to ask: "How shall we address you?"

Naivara watches Maril leave, "Or we can just set off without talking first that works too..." she says under her breath
Elra Skylash - Human Cleric | Vanzaren Tanidoni - Half Elf Wizard
Mindartis Liadon - Eladrin Barbarian | Naivara Siannodel - Half Elf Ranger
Arrila Evenwood - Half Elf Paladin | Callaphe of Setessa - Human Rogue
Katernin Nemetsk - Aasimar Cleric | Melody - Tiefling Bard
(I don't think Maril is flying after the sounds, just riding her dragon and listening, not running off, unless I missed something...)
(Yes she was just trying to get a good listen. She will return to the castle with the others, and prepare for a potential hostile visit)
Honor will have kept an eye out for any sign of the wolves until the others leave the island, and reports what she heard and knows to the others. "Could be they're getting more direct about hunting us. But if that were the case, I don't think they'd be likely to miss us this easily."

(I believe Honor told you about the wolf howling when you got back to the castle.)
((I know. Yuno was more asking about the pounding noise and not the wolf noise))

Yuno says, "I've been bored recently... I want to go check it out. Tangy and Fritz... come with me."
(Sorry about the slow posting, ready to move along)
