The conversation between Vahl, T3MPL4R, Lt Gaggle****, and Xarian continues. Gaggle**** has proposed asking Prince Andru for a ride home, but Xarian wants to do what they can in Ambassador Kenzin's stead.
With a loud crash, T3MPL4R feels Cass jump up his back, hanging on his neck as she shouts out as lively as ever. " You guys are so mean, there I was talking to the locals and when I turn around you're all gone! " She swings down, pouting with her hands crossed over the slightly torn white feather harness, her high-waist pants scuffed and her boots dirtied from debris and mud but her face and hair looking oddly more polished than it was before they all arrived on the Rock.
"I had to go through three different pubs on the way here and I find you all just getting buddy with a new fella instead of even looking for me?! " She looks up and down the beastman, taking all of her effort to not be her usual nice self to this new stranger that's hogging her friends.
T3MPL4R reaches behind him to keep Cass stable while shes straddling him. *"I'm sorry Cass, we assumed you were having fun talking to the locals"* T3MPL4R begins to walk amongst the party and listen to what they're saying to the Vegetarian.
*Vahl gives the newcomer a long look, then pointedly looks back at the others* "Prince's Important. Need some Bonafides to meet. Dockmaster. Ship Cap'n. Find your wreck? Proof. 'Less you got somethin official"
*"Hadn't thought of that. Getting or having proof that we are the last of the delegation from Zudevis precludes any meeting we might have with the Prince. Do you know where we could find the dockmaster or a captain, Mr......"* he trails off, realizing he doesn't know the beastman's name.
"Vahl. Know the dockmaster. Probably talk, mebbe need *rubs fingers together in the universal sign for bribe*. You lookin for crew?" *looks over the varied bunch* "Been on a ship or two, can handle myself. Tired of the Rock"
"Well, I do have one other idea that could maybe get us in. It's an old trick I learned years back. I could use a bit of spell craft to assume the appearance of the ambassador. But there'd be a few problems. One, I'm a fair bit taller than the ambassador was and I wouldn't necessarily be able to replicate her height. It's only an illusory effect, my actual physical form wouldn't change. But I'd also imagine that no one there has actually seen the ambassador in person, so in reality that might only be a minor hurdle to overcome. Two, I'd have to stop at appearance. If you wanted me to be able to also do a good impression, you'd be sorry out of luck. I wouldn't be able to do any of the talking. So the most I could do is maybe get us in, but we'd have lots of explaining to do once we're in. And if that explanation is deemed a waste of the prince's time, we could pay a grave price. Especially me for impersonating a person of authority. But if it's absolutely essential that we speak to the prince as soon as possible, that's one possible route we could take. But if another way is possible, it's probably a route better worth pursuing."
