Rod of Nankon

"Eight days, you say?" Trajeon asks. He nods. "That changes things."

He tosses each of you one of the cloaks and bubble masks. "With that in mind, let's get going quickly to catch the Morkoth before he leaves, shall we?"

Thorin dons his cloak and mask, then nods to indicate he's ready. He moves close to Trinity and squeezes her arm slightly to let her know he's got her back.

Grixeor follows suit rather more apprehensively....and prepares himself mentally for the worst...

"I don't think it's as important for me."

"Don't think what's as important for you, little one?" Trajeon asks.

"The potion, I stay away enough." Trinity answers.

(ooc sorry that I forgot to put what that was directed to)

Abzerilan puts on the equipment provided, having a little more trouble with the mask, but manages. "Guess that'll have to do..."

"Right, so are we ready now?" Trajeon asks, gripping an amulet around his neck in preparation.

Thorin nods, his usual grin replaced with grim determined look as they are about to travel to what was really only described as hell.

"Determined maybe, but I don't think anyone can really be truly 'ready' for where you intend to take us," Grix adds, a distinct nervousness in his voice...

Trinity looks to her dwarf friend and asks quietly "Is there something we should be afraid of? Grix seems off, and I see no issues."

"No matter if it is the battlefield or a fire-blasted wasteland, I'm always ready to delve into the breach." Abzerilan says with a mix of conviction and resignation.

Trajeon takes the amulet from around his neck. "Everyone join hands now, please. This amulet will plane shift us to Gehenna, hopefully close to the Morkoth." Trajeon says.

Trinity does so.

Thorin takes a long drink from his water skin of ale, then joins the group as they hold hands. He's not travelled like this before and so is a little apprehensive.

"I assume none of you have ever traveled by means of planar magic before?" Trajeon asks. "If not, don't worry. It's not terrible, although you may be slightly maddened by the experience, or you may experience fatigue or vomiting." Trajeon says with a half smile. "Right, so let's head out now." (assuming everyone joins hands)

Trajeon holds his amulet in front of him, closes his eyes and begins chanting in Elvish. The amulet begins to glow, and eventually he lets it go. It hovers in the air, and Trajeon joins hands with you all. Your vision starts to blur, and bright colors fill the room. Soon they grow bright enough that your surroundings become unrecognizable. The colors then begin to subside, and you can soon see around you. Mighty volcanoes erupt out from the sloped terrain. Streams of lava flow past you, and the heat they give off gives the air a red glow. "Welcome to Gehenna." Trajeon says.

"Oof! By the gods! Even with this equipment and my heritage, I still feel quite a bit of that heat!" Abzerilan says with surprise. "Let's find that island, get the rod, and get out!"

Grix looks around, wide eyes, his nervousness at coming here now completely justified "By the gods, I am not sure I am prepared for this at all." then turns to the mage "Do you know where the Morkoth might be?" casting his own eyes out of the horrifying landscape looking for anything that might look familiar

Peception 7

 "Nobody is ready to delve into the unknown, Grix. Otherwise, it wouldn't be an unknown!" Abzerilan responds, the initial shock wearing off.

"He would surely look for things to add to his collection. The Tower Arcane would be my best guess." Trajeon says. When he finishes, a deep, moaning roar rumbles across the fiery slopes. Trajeon freexes, his face becoming slightly pale.
