Alax throws their javelin at them, not trying to hurt them, just to make it so they can’t run away. (Like, landing it right in front of them.)

The javelin flies true, and Alax manages to graze her leg with the shaft. It tears her pants and she falls over. Turning around, she looks at your team. ‘Stay back! I’m not infected an it’s going to stay that way!’ She manages to get back up and limp off, however you do notice that she left behind a small flower. So, then, you see it. There is a small, dead boy where she was. There are dozens more, maybe even fifty dead corpses. All of the windows on the shops and houses are boarded up, and the doors barricaded. The Dragon’s fog got to this place before you did, and it’s now hitting humans, too.

Alax picks up his javelin, stowing it on his back, before drawing his shield and sword to face any incoming threats. (I ready an attack action against the first thing that I see that moves other than my teammates)

At the sight of the rolling fog, the mage jumps back instinctively. Once they see the non-kobold corpses, he draws one side of his cloak up over his nose and mouth. “This is not good,” he moans
Zenara seems to be looking around for a building frantically, or something of the like. She says to you all, confidently, 'Remember what we're here for. We should get in and out, just find that scientist.' She then begins to slowly walk down the road, scanning the houses.

‘Well,’ She starts, ‘I had the impression we would ask around... The only thing I know is that their lab was in an underground room. We might be able to see through windows at the foundation?’ It’s now that you all realize that the houses are all very similar. It seemed like half of them had basements with little windows, anyway.
Sylvalur hears people moving around inside a few buildings, but they always get quiet as you see a pair of eyes behind the boards notice you. There are a few buildings, however, that seems to stand out from the rest. There is a large manor at the end of the road, maybe the middle of the city. There is also the spire of a church, and a completely destroyed house or bar... a small building.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dorceran will try to get closer to one of the boarded up windows and call (loud enough to be heard, but not trying to draw attention elsewhere) out to the people inside. “Hello? Folks, we’re here to help, but we need some information. We’re looking for a lab. Know anything about that?”
Alax looks at Sylvalur quizzically, then states “I refuse to march to their gathering place of religion. If they cry to their false gods as a last resort then let them die.” With a convicted and angry look on their face.

Sylvalur's usual permanent smile disappears and his face grows dark. "Religious intolerance too?". His face brightens once again, he barks out a laugh "I'm sure you'll make someone very happy one day, you are a perfect catch. Such a specimen.."
He continues walking. "I for one will continue to the church, there will be people and, false gods or no, it is likely the largest gathering and easiest place to get an answer about the location of the lab. And THAT is the priority now."

Sylvalur leaves to go to the church, while Ekane and Dorceran go to the manor Zenara stays with Alax, not exactly knowing which way to go. However, Ekane and Doeceran notice that the road has collapsed into a tunnel. As you investigate, you hear a pained scream echo throughout. Alax and Sylvalur should make an perception check to see if you notice the scream, Sylvalur’s at a disadvantage because you are far away.

Sylvalur let's out a worthless laugh. "Well we are really in trouble if we dont work this out now."
He turns to Zenara, and points. "You my dear, need to step up and show us where the scientist is and quickly."
He looks at the flower, wondering if it was of any impact on her health.

“Fellas - and lady- I’m not real keen on walking in there. But I think we oughta find that runner. Information may be key.”
Dorceran goes to lead on inside, after the runner.

He heads towards to church.
