I don't know, the rock could be a focus or material for a spell or perhaps it simply creates or draws a storm to it. But I'm not sure its related to the madness in Silverymoon but..Rose looks to the birdfolk wondering where they might have encountered the mind altering poison. Where had you folk been since the destruction of your village?
Bell frowns as Rose speaks. "... They may be our best lead... perhaps we should head back to where their last camp was and see if we can track them. If they're using the storms as cover for some other kind of operation, they may still be around everlund."

Rose scratches her head and turns to Cadderly. Any objections Cadderly? I'd hate to turn right back for Everlund after promising to join you but, well if those fishermen I met are cultists in disguise then Everlund is in danger. They may even be part of whatever is happened to Silverymoon.
As rose begins to have a panic attack as potential realization dawns on her, one of the aaracokra tries to speak before Rose adds the last of her initial comments. A.. We don't know why, or what they had to gaaain.. they traded us the trinket. Showed us that it worked.... though.. I suppose they could have had one of their own who was proficient with magic cast a spell to trick us ... They only asked for money, or things with vaaalue... when we returned when the caarnage had ended, we waited, expecting them to return to loot the place but... they never did. Like a theif breaking into a hut just to thrash it and leave... the thought makes his eyes shoot down, as if he'd never thought that far into it before...
As Rose questions selune, the silence that had been there for a while.. whether Rose had noticed it o not was broken. And a soft light caressed Rose's bods. Though no words were spoken, Rose felt like she had a choice to make, and her & her friends decision here would potentially shape the future. Though before that could fully weigh in, Fallans words broke the trance.
No, little one. The 'rock' was not found. Aaand we haaave good eyes. We know they never even tried to return. Aas if the rock had completed its purpose... and vaaaanished. Or been destroyed by itself..
To your other questions... no, the storm does no follow. It appears. Like a fireball from a maage. it simply exists there when it chooses to... I caaanot think of another waaay to explain it. The rock was about this large, aaa perfect sphere.. he says, giving as close of a visual as he can pantomiming with his hands. The shape was roughly the same size as the orb that had been given to the party.
Before his eyes could downcast once more, Rose chimed in and drew his focus away from his own inner turmoil. We flew along the outskirts of the big landwalker city though never near it... We told Everlund aabout cultists aand to keep them out, then we flew here, after hearing they had shooed some away who looked like them. We did not find them, but we found the dwaaarves... and... you know what happened... I do not see why we thought they were them... Curse or no curse.... he said, swallowing hard.
As Rose then turns to Cadderly, who had also been tending to any surface scratches, he also seemed downcast, again whatever his own personal guilt was gnawing at him. I shall answer Fallans question first. I don't believe the poison curse can effect nonliving things. Though I have no proof to back that up - But the poison, as you know... continues to spread, slowly but surely. By the time I had awoken, the venom had made its way from the catacombs of my library to the entire library itself. And I doubt it Rose. I may not know much, but from my studies after we fought them back, Talona is an agent of Chaos. And while annihilating villages may be chaotic it's.... how should i put this... he says, rolling his hands as a pantomine of 'gathering his thoughts' into a proper order... Too straightforward. Like a wizards fireball.. as the Aaracokra said... as opposed to a charlatan who muddles the mind to enjoy the show.. if that makes sense. I believe these may be different cults.
But if you go back to Everlund... as much as I grieve for them if the worst has happened... especially after how well they treated me that cult sounds like a clumsy theif, while Talona's agents are more akin to an evil baron with connections.... harder to catch, and harder to prove. Atleast the ones attacking their village make themselves known straightforwardly.. so.. I see them as the lesser threat. Besides... It's my fault the vial was opened. And if what the Aaracokra say is true.... they were far from Silverymoon, the poison is spreading, which means Ivan and Pikel are likely caught up in it .. again. If you go that way, I cannot go with you. But Know that if we do part ways here we part it as friends.

Rose looks back towards the direction of Everlund again, worry clear in her face. Turning back to Cadderly and the others Rose nods having come to a conclusion. I suppose you are right Cadderly. The poison seems the greater threat for now, I just hate to think I helped...well I hate to think what happened to Everlund, or what may happen to others that cult comes in contact with. Still...Rose turns to the bird folk. Friends, I'm sorry what happened to your village and your people. Unfortunately we seek another dangerous cult, one responsible for your attack on these Dwarves. We need to stop them before we can do anything else. I'm sorry we can not be of more help, and I hate to ask this favor of you, but given your wings you can surely cover much ground in less time than us. Would you be able to warn Yartar of the danger? Its the only major city west of here I think they would be able to target that isn't a dwarven stronghold. And perhaps it's selfish of me to ask...but even further west is small town of Thundertree. If you could find the Mayor, my wife, Gwen, and deliver a message for me? If you sought to I'm sure she could find a place for you in town, though I'd understand if you'd rather stay a rebuild. Rose waits for a response before speaking to the dwarves again. Updating them on the situation and warning them that Everlund is likely in a bad way. If your leader can send word to the dwarven Strongholds to the north. I'm not sure how much damage their storm can really do to an underground city but, well it wouldn't hurt for them to keep an eye out. Perhaps they can stop this cult from wandering any further west. If my companions and I can rescue Silverymoon perhaps we track down this other cult as well but we won't be able to do both unfortunately.
"Wow, all of these cults, and towns/cities we have been to which are now in trouble can sure set a gal's head to spinning. Shoot, at this point, I'd just be happy if folks don't think WE are the "unlucky gold piece" that trouble seems to be following." Fallan attempts a smile to show she means well and is trying to add a bit of humor to the situation.
"So, the 'plan' is to have the fast-moving birds tell everyone in any place we have been about BOTH the 'stormball' AND the 'Chaos Curse', even if it is only to be aware and on the lookout for more strangeness. Right? And 'we' are focusing on the growing "Circle of the Chaos Curse" but we just don't know HOW at this point. All the while, we know that finding the 'fish-sellers' who may or may not be getting the 'stormball' carried around to decimate bird cities, etc is going to have to be dealt with. Do I have all that right as well?"
Holding her head full of curly hair between her hands she sighed and added in a much softer tone: "And hopefully nothing ELSE is following us. What I wouldn't give for a magic broom that could sweep problems away... ALL problems."
Rose nods at Fallans assessment. Aye, assuming they agree. I admit im feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything happening at once but I don't see what other choice we have.
"So we're still heading towards Silverymoon then? Which is where you're going, right Cadderly? We should go single file and keep some distance between us so we don't all get caught in the poison. Once we've figured out where the edge is, we can do our best to prepare ourselves to delve in."

When Cadderly see's Rose being mildly overcome with something akin to the guilt he feels, he feels sympathy for the little halfling, though he has no clue as to her actual age. I know all too well the guilt you feel. But remember, the chaos curse is my own fault. Whether we did it willingly or not at this point is irrelevant... so long as we both understand that we must take that responsibility... and do our best to shoulder it. I realize my performance in what would have been the last battle here was less-than stellar... but I have fought before. Just... the 'bad guy' was .. a bit more clear cut. Only for the conversation to shift to the birdfolk, and Rose's request. None of them really seemed to be what could be considered a leader, but they promised to come to a decision soon.
Unfortunately the Dwarves are too busy recovering and the aaracokra are too busy both deliberating, and feeling bad about their recent actions, and Fallan's joke falls flat... Though she more or less restates the plan in general correctness. As all of this is happening, Rose feels the gentle touch of Selune on her mind and heart, knowing hat either choice Rose made would have been accepted, and Rose feels as if she had been inspired before, that it would be renewed, alas there was no room for further inspiration in Rose's heart at the moment.

Was waiting for more responses But after four days I suppose I should just post.
Rose, once alerted to the noise and starting to actively pay attention to it turns around to see that Bulwark hasn't moved, hasn't said anything, and his core seemed to be flashing Red. And trying to guess what it was got her nowhere.
For some strange reason, Bell decides that right now would be the best time to play along to the music, and the beeping being completely in perfect tempo only helps. Music filling the air, and the aaracokra, as well as the dwarves take notice that everyone seems to be looking that way, and though they're enjoying the well played tune accompanied by a sound that wasn't normally heard, they think its some kind of thing your group does to raise spirits, and despite their injuries (mostly healed thanks to Rose)
Beep beep beep beep beep beep. The pace picking up, when Cadderly's voice rises above it all.
Everybody RUN! He's going to explode! And I have no idea how large the explosion will be! he says before running in the opposite direction of Bulwark as fast as he can.
Not sure what is happening, Fallan relies on her friends and protectors to know best when it comes to protecting the group. While she doesn't necessarily know or trust Cadderly, she figures that now isn't the time to risk him being one NOT to trust. Spotting Belle, she sprints in the same direction, but scans the area for Rose, to make sure their cleric was going to be safe.
"Whose idea was it to let this walking time bomb join our group?"she asks to no one in particular
Scrambling to their feet, the dwarves, uninjured, but sore, and tired begin fumbling, then running away. Their mentality similar to Fallans in 'better safe than 'sploded' as they, once they get to their feet proper dash almost as far, not having time to pick up the dead dwarf nearby. The aaracokra instead flying straight up as fast as their wings can take them, moving angularly up to avoid any blast.
Rose and Bell faintly sense a deep, jealous grief emanating from Bulwark just before the sky changed colors, as all the sound left the area, only to be replaced bu the thunderous boom with Bulwark at its center. The sky turned a bright, dull orange for a moment before it was seen that it was really the radiance fading as a small cloud rose from the ground like a tree, or a mushroom, surrounded by a ring near the top but blow the 'tip' expanding out. It was only after a few moments of witnessing this that a powerful gust of wind and raw force blasted through the group, toppling everyone several feet, though luckily the blast had done no damage as everyone had safely gotten out of the way aside from the one dwarf who's luck had ended already as his body evaporated, being close enough.
As the cloud rose into the sky, and the danger passed, a massive 'crater' was left where bulwark, and the road had been. It was also then that Rose felt Selune speaking once more, telling her that her magic was about to fade and that should the aaracokra and dwarves not move soon, they may find their minds muddled once more.
Rose pushes herself to her feet, sympathizing with Fallans comment but not answering it. When Rose learned of the dead dwarf she said a silent prayer though no thoughts were spared for Bulwark, since she wasn't even sure it was alive to begin with. Even if he had been, blowing himself up while surrounded by innocents was certainly not anway to get a Rose's good side, not that it mattered. Once things calmed Rose told everyone what she felt and that they all best move soon, less her magic fail and they all succumb to madness.
Fallan sidles up to Rose, once the direction of travel for what remained as "their group" chose to move on. "Succumb to madness..."the non-cleric halfling pauses as if to carefully consider what next to say to her hobbit-kin. "Is that what you usually feel when you hear voices/feelings from Selune? How did you feel the first time you heard the voice? How did you know it was your goddess, and that the voice was to be trusted?"
As the two stepped out in the direction of the infected town, Fallan did her best to stay close to Rose but felt almost as much trepidation as she awaited Rose's answer as she did knowing that the "Horrible Honey Incident" might be about to happen again.
Rose looked at Fallan curiosly, wondering where this was coming from before giving the question some serious thought. As they walked Rose bit her lower lip as she considered the question before finally coming to a conclusion. Well, I suppose the first time I heard her call I was a little frightened, but Its usually a voice I hear. Its more of a, well a gut feeling. Though the first time I felt her presence was when she first granted me her blessing and gave me my powers. All my magic comes straight from her, when I heard her voice and got my magic, it seemed certain it was Selûne who was calling to me. But as I said, most of the time its simply a gut feeling, trusting that the Goddess guides my steps along the right path. I'm not sure if that really answers your questions, in the end its really all just a matter of faith.
As Rose and Fallan pair of to chat, Belle walks closer to Cadderly.“Hey. I noticed you froze up a little for a sec in that last fight. If uh... if you’re not super used to combat or standoffs like that... I can help you with a little training or sparring to get your confidence up during the little bit of spare time we might have.” Bell slaps him lightly on the back. “Can’t have you going all stiff when we take on the cult now, right?” Belle smiles.
