Roses eyes go wide with excitement when Yue speaks. You can speak?! How long have you been able to do that! You really are the absolute best! Rose would then continue to dote on the wolf.
Yue doesn't move, though she appears to be mildly enjoying the treatment from Rose. A few sniffs in the air as the group approached behind Rose, Gwen included. Though Yue's eyes watched Bell as she approached, and sat next to her, baring teeth, just barely. Fey words ring out softly, and Yue seems to regard bell with a toothy smile. [Common] Euweah is fine. But Euweah can speak. Euweah does not know you, wolf. You are not of Euweahs pack. Euweah does not know you. The wolf was speaking solid, but rough common. Yue seemed to have trouble saying her own name, perhaps due to the complexity in those three letters. Yue didn't seem likely to attack, but Yue clearly didn't recognize half the group, and was on edge, any attempt by anyone other than Gwen or Rose to touch the white wolf is met with a warning snap.
"You sure it's friendly? A talking wolf is not very common." Root will ask Rose as he keep his eyes on the wolf after her comments. Root will try to recall any information on talking wolves from his noggin.

Fallan looks at Root with one of those "you gotta be kidding me" expressions, and says with sarcasm dripping so thickly, it might solidify in the cold morning air: "Yeah, sure I can't WAIT to have RATIONS!". Just when it appeared that she might have more pithy remarks, she turns as the wolf speaks out loud. The cold MUST have gotten more impactful, as she froze in place and didn't move. "Speaking animals? Or possessed beasts? Will it never end?" she thinks to herself.
Rose nods in the affirmative after Roots question. I'm as sure as sure can be! She might be a bit wary of new comers but Yue can be trusted. The talking is new for me but now that I think on it I do think that Druid did something to her before he left, but there was a lot going on at that time. Rose's cheerful expression changes to a frown as she thinks back to that day when they lost Dot. She had been so overcome with grief she hardly noticed anything else going on around her.
Everyone had at-least a quick bite while the fire still burnt before packing everything up, if only to stave off hunger. The horse seemed mildly phased by the cold but would likely be fine so long as it had shelter to wait in.
Since Maman made me to. Euweah can speak with you wolves now. Not sure how, before, all I hear is weird barking, but now I can bark weird too. As Root tries to puzzle out information he's heard before, and mostly comes up blank - there's stories where some animals in the wild that normally can't speak, are able to, but it's few and far between, and usually only under unusual circumstances.
The wolf nearly snapped in Roots direction when he dared question its loyalty to Rose, but managed to restrain that wild impulse, if only due to its newfound intelligence. Then its frigid eyes fell upon Fallan - the wolf could clearly smell her fear - her fragility, and the wolf began to lick its chops with some anticipation, tension growing in its limbs before it froze, and fell back into placidity, it was clearly still getting used to resisting its own natural urges. The wolf eventually pulling away from the handsy treatment, walking into the cave, saying Maman say you come back, Tell Euweieh to wait here. I hunt, but wait for you. Must do for old pack, so new pack can grow strong. Is not-wolf for eating? she asked, looking at the horse.... Gwen remains quiet, other than the chattering of teeth.
The cave is large enough for the horse to enter, but not the cart. Inside Yue has two corpses of some unlucky herbivores that she must have been using to stay alive while waiting. Rose knows the tunnel is long before it actually reaches its destination, where the dropdown is. Rose knows part of the tunnels, but not all of them.
“Nothing wrong with a little stranger danger,” Bell remarks. She stands and backs away respectfully, and allows Rose and Yue to take point into the cave when they’re ready, following behind them.
Root will tie Dorothy off inside the cave leaving some hay for here “You better not eat my horse wolf!” Fire begins to leak from Root as he watches the wolf. “Rose you sure it won’t eat Dorothy! Without her this wagon is going to be hard to push!”
[Root will keep to the rear as he probably the tallest in the group. ]
Fallan's head snaps around faster than the twang of an archer's bow at Bell's comment. "Nothing WRONG with stranger danger? Are you NUTS? The stranger the danger the MORE wrong it's likely to be. You've just been lucky so far! But if we're going in here, then let's do it and be done with it." The group can't decide if there's more trepidation or determination in the little halfling's comments, and her willingness to stride forward into the dark was surprising, to say the least. "Well, everybody coming?"
"Slow down there Skittish, I agree with ya. I meant it's good that the little guy has a sense of stranger danger. But you're right, I have been lucky," she says, beaming at Fallan and Root. If she's close enough, Bell pats Fallan on the head. Then she looks forwards. "Hey Rose! How far in does this go before we gotta be on our guard... or... more on our guard?"
Rose steps in front of Yue to seperate her and the horse from each other. Sorry Yue but the horse is not for eating. We need her to pull the cart. I have spare meat rations if your hungry but the horse is not food. Rose turns to Root and says And don't you worry, your horse will be fine, or least safe from Yue. It'll be easier if we can find some fresh meat soon though. Anyway let's get moving! Rose starts to lead the group down the way she had remembered going before. (Assuming DM didn't have other plans) Rose leads them to the crevice and explains how they had to use rope to get everyone including Yue down. She will repeat the entire process and lead the group to the room with the large pool of water. Answering Belles questions she whispers. Now would probably be the best time to be on ones guard. I know only a little further ahead before we have to start checking tunnels ive never been in.
Yue seems somewhat disheartened that she hadn't been brought an entire horse to eat, but reluctantly accepts it, since Rose is the only thing close to an 'Alpha' in what Yue views as a pack. The horse is led into the interior near the rope before being tied off to keep it from being too close to the weather, and to not be found by any predators that may or may not be out there. The Dwarven Corpse still sitting in the same spot, though a few flasks of oil short thanks to Cirrus. As the cave gets deeper, the light begins to fade, more and more, until the area becomes pitch black to anyone without Darkvision or a source of light. Luckily Rose and Gwen can see here, and Yue makes by with following the sounds if no one creates a light source. Regardless, up to this point, Unless Rose granted her blessing prior to here, she and Gwen would lead you all at a slow pace through the tunnels, until the sound of water could be heard.
Gwen was deathly silent, remembering these tunnels with less-than fond memories, she was tense, and on guard, since the chaos that had occurred last time, but upon thinking that.. she felt the need to whisper to everyone Please.. refrain from using any extremely loud spells.... That's what made us have to retreat in the first place, and nearly got all of us killed. she says swallowing, as she keeps her eyes out for any threats, though not seeing any.
For those with Darkvision -
A still pool fills much of this cavern. The water is dark, revealing little of what might lie within. The shore of the pool consists of a thin layer of broken shells from strange, pale mussels, and a fishy odor hangs in the air.
How do you proceed? Try not to go beyond a hallways distance in assumed movement. By that I mean if you're in a room that has a hallway, you can go to the 'end' of that hallway at most. The tunnels and their creatures aren't in the same places as they were before. Rose led the group to the bottom-most area of the 'water' on the map on thee left most side. Remember, I do not assume actions, whatever you say you do is what I will apply. Yue is also now under Bellerains Players control - and acts independantly as opposed to being action locked like a beastmastery pet.
As soon as it got dark in and outside light faded Rose would grant her blessing of sight to the rest of the group only after remembering that not everyone can see in the dark like she can. Gathering the part close she grants them all Selûnes sight, granting darkvision with no maximum range to everyone including Yue. This will only last about 10 minutes or so before I have to recast it. I can give you all this blessing for a total of 30 minutes a day so we should use it wisely. Oh yes and one more blessing! Rose layed a hand on Root, and as Rose muttered something about staying vigilant a soft glow of twilight passed between her and Root. (For Root: you have advantage on the next initiative roll you make, whenever that may be. For everyone else you all have darkvision with no max range for 10 min)
Once in the room Rose would finally take time to look around. Last time Malman had them go through without giving them much time to explore. Since they were in a hurry Rose hadn't mind but now that they were hear with time to spare she was curious about the room. Rose wandered over to the pool of water to see if she could gauge how deep it was and if anything might be lurking in it.
Bellerain stays close to Rose, and speaks in a hushed voice. "Looking for anything in particular? I'll help!"
Yue stays on guard while Rose searches, sniffing at the stale air and listening as she paces back and forth, clearly uneasy to be dawdling in this room.
As Rose examines the pool she shakes her head at Belles question. Not really, just didn't have time to look around last time. Those stairs over there lead us to a hall. I remember there being a door we didn't check and not far ahead is where we fought a drow to get this map. Apparently its marked on the map as being a possible location for the forge but I didn't see anything forge like last I was there.
Yue's nose picks up nothing, at-least within this room, though she occasionally turns back to face the room the group had just came from, picking up the scent of some vinegar-like odor that hurt her nose when breathed in, outside of that, she didn't see or hear anything. Meanwhile within the pool, about ten feet off the shore, and at the bottom, was a barely visible skeleton resting, other than the slight rocking of the water as it filtered into the water-tunnel in the north. Even with extreme dark vision, the skeleton was still nearly invisible.
Fallan whispers: "Wow, this is really neat! Being able to see like this in the dark could help avoid SOOOOOO many bad things!" Then she pulls up the hood of her cloak and before others have finished checking out the pool of water, she slips up the stairs and to the left.
"Poor fella could have some loot on him down there... but I feel like we have bigger fish to fry. Unless you've got a spell that can pull it to the surface, I don't think it's worth gettin wet over," Belle says to Rose before taking a drink from her jug.

Rose's mind also briefly considers the possibility of loot before she decides its not worth it. Yeah probably, but I agree its not worth getting wet over. Besides I'm not much for swimming in this heavy armor. We shou- where'd Fallan go? Rose looks around for the other halfling but doesn't see any sign of her.
Fallan attempts to slip away unnoticed, for reasons of her own, though anyone with a passive perception of 11 or greater that actually cared to pay attention would easily notice as it seems Fallan had more on the mind than focusing solely on her stealth. Regardless, the halfling makes it to the stairs, creeping up with curiosity and avoiding the door directly in front of her. As she turns the corner though, she finds bodies of all sorts of creatures piled up, atleast ten bugbears lay still in death, several other more grotesque creatures including what appear to be zombies of some sort or another are among the 'dead' and getting over these bodies may prove to be a challenge, though if Fallan wishes to continue scoutign ahead, there's no other choice but to enter the corpse-crowded hallway.
