Sure! Honestly I'm starving myself so I'm eager to eat too. And you can tell me what  you've all been up to while we do. Rose will follow Fallan towards the food while also looking around to see if she can see Yue once Gwen mentions her.

Root seeing Gwen also goes for a hug. "Gwen,Yes! We should definitely eat and drink! Ive come to enjoy actually food. I could eat a whole cow!" Releasing her Root gently pats her shoulders "I am very proud of what you acomplised perhaps i should move Yvette and I here but i doubt i can get her from the sea."

"Now that's food! This beats rations any day!! Maybe we should start setting folks up so someone is getting married every week, to ensure that the proper feeding of this town continues? What do you think?" Fallan asks between bites of whatever she can load on her plate. "Oh, sorry, we can deal with that AFTER we actually get Rose and Gwen hitched properly. But it's not a bad thought, eh? Who catered this stuff? I need to give my compliments to the chef (and see what leftovers they might be hiding!)" Licking each of her fingers loudly, it's easy to see that Fallan has drifted off into thoughts unspoken.

Gwen couldn't help but laugh at the way Fallan seemed to act like a hobbit starved child sometimes. She joined them in their feasting as Rose began to look for Yue. Gwen was already mostly full between the last few days events and having been eating passively the entire time. As she gnawed on the drumstick of something that smelled like mulled wine meat. Ha I don't think that's a good reason for people to marry Fallan.. It's a nice thing to have but it's not a good reason to marry, and the towns coffers couldn't afford it. This cost nearly fourty five gold per day! And I've learned a lot about running a town in the last year. I'm just glad its not winter anymore. But thanks to these houses being of stone.. the outside may be cold but the inside radiates the heat!

And the chef is the Alderleaf Family. The man who doesn't like Bell much, and his son. I think that Mr. Alderleaf may be a druid, because his crops never stop growing... it's convenient. A few familiar faces are in the area, carousing though they seem distracted with their many conversations. Ja'Ree slipped out of a building to meet up with the group. Though the Tabaxi's eyes seem to be on Root.

Rose laughs at Fallans suggestion and nods. Oh I don't know hun. A celebration everywhere sounds fun! Though perhaps a bit expensive yeah? Still it would be nice to feast all the time but I suppose it being on special occasions is what makes them so much fun isn't it? Anyway I wouldn't worry too much about Mr. Alderleaf. I'm sure he isn't still holding a grudge. And if he is well...Rose just shurgs and goes back to eating. 

Root doesn’t touch the food but if their is alcohol he will definitely start drinking. As he enjoys himself “You want to drink with me Ja’Ree? Maybe some food?” 

"I don't know anything about this grudge, do I? Is this a secret?" Fallan asks. "Is it bad enough that if I went to talk to him, he would bite my head off? Is the grudge against EVERYBODY? Or just a select few? He can't be TOO upset if he's been putting together this wonderful spread for the two of you, right?" she says as she nods at both Rose and Gwen.

The Tabaxi grins as he approaches, punching his fist into his palm once he's within a respectable distance. Nono frriend. I have already partook of what I felt just in partooking. Rather.... I see you are a man of the fist as well. And what is a celebration without some entertainment? I would like to challenge you to a friendly duel if you would be so inclined? That and I would like to pit myself against someone with similar skills, to better assess where mine own are.

it was then that a small group of people all wearing bath towels robes, who looked like they used to be farmers or villagers of Phandalin. And it would be an excellent opportunity for my pupils to learn by seeing. So, will you accept my challenge?

“Oh a challenge?!” Root stands up “I never turn down a challenge!” Looking at Ja’Ree pupils then turning to face Ja’Ree himself “Lead the way! Bell you coming?!”

Rose waves off Fallans concerns and says You don't have to worry I don't think. He's was just a little upset with Belle when they first met. However he's been pleasant with us so as I said, nothing for you or I to worry about. When Ja'ree and Root agree to a duel Rose gets an excited look on her face as she stands to follow. Oooh this augta be an entertaining fight right hun? Nothing like a little friendly sparing for desert. There should be a open space this way for you two. And with that Rose leads the pair to a open area to accommodate their fight. 

(Catching up)

[To Gwen when she asks after Yue] "Oh, you know how Yue is... not one for crowds, or people in general much.  She's stalking around the outside of the village.  I'm sure she'll join us once she feels more comfortable."

[To Fallan, asking about Alderleaf] "The angry hobbit fellow?  I mean I'm sure he's not always angry but I only met him the once.  Nah it's nothing big.  When we arrived to the destroyed town and didn't know what was going on, we ran into him, and I questioned his intentions, unsure whether he was friend or foe.  He took offense to that.  That's pretty much it."

Bell digs into the food, but for the most part exclusively drinks from her good old alchemy jug rather than any provided wine or mead.

Gwen looked curious at the two monks, wanting to see this as well, since it would provide some excitement that wasn't eating or dancing as Rose led everyone to an open area near the temple that was still being built. She took a small plate of food with her to nibble on as they watched what was about to go down. Huh, Yue didn't seem that shy... but maybe if that's the case you should keep her with the town then to help her overcome it? (should you wish to relinquish NPC control) Either way it's up to Yue I suppose, but I'm sure the town wouldn't mind having such a creature here, it would add to the spectacle if nothing else. everyone eventually arriving in the area, creating a semi-circle of a ring. 

And Fallan, I believe Mr. Alderleaf thinks that Gwen was questioning his parenting, so it's better to just not make it an issue I think.

Yes, though obviously we will not strike to kill. Other than that, nothing is off limits. Let this be an honorable combat. Ja'ree says, once more pumping his fist into his palm, though this time bowing as he entered a stance.

Roll Initiative Root.

 “Of course!” Root will follow Ja’Ree lead bowing and taking stance. “Now! Come at me!”

Bellerian migrates over to the fighting ring, waving her alchemy jug around.  "Go Root!  You got this!  Wooo!"

Init: 5

 Ja'Ree, compared to root, as more cool and collected. Instead of coming at him initially, Ja'ree bows, and graciously allows Root the first strike. Let us do battle, my friend. he says, getting into his stance.

 Seizing the initiative Root will go for a low kick to the shin followed by a straight right!

Root's first strike hits solidly, causing Ja to be pushed just a bit to one side. However Ja flowed with it, to avoid the next strike. Then using that momentum, he retaliated with strikes of his own. The first hit with a closed fist slamming against Root's jaw, however, the second one claws extended, digging into root's chest in a stunning strike. (DC 14 CON save or be stunned for your turn, will roll here to keep the flow...)

The strike hitting a spot where the owlbears had torn him grievously once. Taking advantage of this, Ja'ree launches three more strikes at his opponent. The first two strikes leaving claw marks across  Root's face, finishing it off with a kick the the side of Root's jaw before falling back, putting his hand behind him, and his other in front, waiving his fingers in a taunting 'come at me' motion.

 However after a moment, Ja realized that Root had fallen to the ground, unconscious and his eyes went wide oh no, oh shit! I'm so sorry! Quick, Rose heal him!

"I got him, I got him," Bell says as she steps forwards, stoppering her bottle.  She kneels down and sets a hand on Root's shoulder, her palm glowing faintly (5hp from Lay on Hands).  "Come on, up we go big guy."

“Wha...What happened?” Getting up Root rubs his jaw, realizing he fell unconscious Root sighs “Well we definitely have different ideas of sparring.” Rubbing his head he will give Ja’Ree a bow “Well this is a good lesson, I will definitely learn from this.” 

Ja'ree looks down bowing in apology before standing again. I- Perhaps. I am once again so sorry, I expected m.. to be the one at the disadvantage here, so I worried if I didn't put my all into it, surely it would be me on the floor. That and I wanted to show my students real techniques, instead of the kitten jabs.  I hope you are okay though my friend. If you desire, I will allow you several blows against me in recompense.

The crowd around had grown silent, as they hadn't expected it to be over so quickly, for either of them. After a few tense moments, the crowd erupted into cheers, collapsing on the group and patting them both on the back. The students seemed excited, yet remained rooted to the ground as they observed. Both of the pair being lifted into the air, though several more being needed to lift Root as they carried them back towards the feast. Gwen sending a little more healing his way (11).
