Fallan finds herself in culinary Nirvana, and tucks a napkin into her blouse, picks up knife and fork and becomes more active, and almost viciously attacks the food placed in front of her. A gleam in her eye is visible to any who can stand to watch this eating machine shred, gobble, chew and consume the delicious repast. After a few minutes, she actually takes her eyes off the empty cheese plate and looks at her friends.
"What? Isn't yours good? No, excellent? No, Amazing?"she asks with crumbs falling from her mouth as she tries to continue to chew and shovel in new bites as she talks. "I mean, is *this* the time to talk about what we do next? I'm thinking BREAKFAST in the morning. No? Well, whatever you folks decide, I'll follow, as long as somewhere, sometime, a return to this wonderful place is in the plans!"
Rose eats her meal and drinks her wine with little interest, much more focused on seeing Fallan eat a mountain of food and trying not to giggle uncontrollably. After comparing herself she does finally suggest to the group a plan of action. I say breakfast is a great idea but after that we should hit the road in the morning. That said, Yartar is quite the trade hub, if we wanted to do some shopping now is the time, who knows what might come in handy. That said I'm fine getting an early nights sleep if that's what you'd all rather do.
"Ditto. Nothing like a good sleep on a full - well, or almost full..." the grin on Fallan's face couldn't get any wider after that last comment... "stomach. Though a leisurely stroll while shopping is supposed to be good for the digestion. I'm up for either."
I will proceed once I have everyone's confirmed actions. From what I can tell, Rose/Fallan "might" shop, and Bell/Root seem to be planning to sleep. If shopping, say whatever in your discord channel as in what sort of things are you looking for, so I know what I'll have to look up, if anything, but effectively anything that can be bought, can be bought in Yartar (obviously magic items and such are only a chance) but mundane items of almost any kind can be found here.
Seeing as everyone aside from Rose was heading to bed early, Fallan stayed at the inn once the food was consumed, and within moments of every plate being cleaned of it's food, it was taken by whatever server happened to be nearby, into the near swarmlike structure, though as time had passed on, the customers thinned as the night grew on, as did the other activities to match until it was only a few left by the time 9PM rolled around when everyone but Rose retired to the shared room.
Wandering the still-busy stalls lit by the large magical source, unfortunately blotting out the light of the stars above, the night was likely lacking in beauty to Rose, with most of the night sky barely being visible.
Rose first came across a stall sparkling with gems of many colors, and other similarly fancy jewelry - For one reason or another, if only to browse, you take a look, and the jewel-monger see's an opportunity to show off his wares. As you look he shows you several different gems that are underneath a heavily fortified locked glass case that even the most mundane eye can tell is thrumming with protective magics, likely to keep thieves from stealing them.
He explains that most of the gems that are alone are known as "Ioun Stones," and that they're from a recent expedition to some place known as the Kwalish, but bestow amazing effects on their wearer. And that he's willing to part with them for a fairly cheap price, though it varies by stone. One of the stones, vibrant, and purple, gleams in the artificial light in the market, and he explains that the gem can hold spells within it, though it currently possesses none so that no customer could be disappointed should they not require the knowledge or ability to cast that spell themselves. But he assures you that it can hold any spell you can cast on it. He finishes by telling you that he will reluctantly part with the stone for a mere 5,000 gold.
Next to it lies a clear stone, similar to a crystal but not so perfectly transparent. He explains that while worn, the bearer of the gem will never again need food or drink so long as it remains there. He is willing to part with it for the steal of a price of 2,500 gold.
Next to it, a Goldengem. It took him a moment to fully explain it, and you eventually feel that what he's trying to say is, the gem brings you closer to your patron, or whatever you worship that it can strengthen those bonds ever so slightly. Giving a discount, and only charging 1,500.
He finishes with that particular display, saying to be aware, that only three of these stones can be active simultaneously, and they immediately lose their effects once removed or pocketed, though the magic isn't lost it becomes dormant until used again.
Whether anything catches your eye there, he assures you that unless bought prior to your return, will be available until midday the next morning before he plans to move to another town.
Moving on you eventually find a stall with many mundane armors, though they're polished and emboldened to look important or expensive, likely to attract the eye's of nobles and royalty. However a shield catches your eye, and inquiring about it, he tells you that the shield is made of Obsidian and is shaped like a tower shield being large enough that a halfling could stand behind it and not be seen, yet despite its utter blackness, it seems to be almost like a mirror, and weighs less than most shields allowing for defter movement, while possessing superior blocking power. He tells you its not technically for sale but he'll part with it for any offer equal to, or greater than 4,750 gold. You can tell the shield is likely worth the price.
Once more, whether anything is purchased or not you proceed down the way and after a series of more mundane shops filled with a plethora of potions (Such as Healing potions at book listed price, as well as some of their higher-level counterparts up to 'rare')
Eventually you come across a shop that seems to be selling various ammunition types, each of them glowing, ever so slightly with emerald energy, asking the man about them, he tells you that each of the arrows is enchanted to be far more accurate than normal ammunition of its type. He warns that once the ammunition successfully hits a living or undead target the enchantment is spent but that a time when you really need to hit a target in a life or death situation it may be the difference between survival and a swift death. Each piece of (any) ammunition here costs 250GP/each.
Obviously not every shop here is so grandiose, most are selling more mundane items (up to uncommon).
After more than an hour, Rose returns to the room to find the others wherever they were there, doing whatever they were doing and you see that each bed is a canopy bed, with silken sheets, feather-down filled to the brim with a privacy screen between each bed. The room had a rather large, and luxurious window overlooking the street below, with fluttering, frilled and embroidered curtains that probably cost as much as a house. The room was truly fit for royalty, and would likely be missed when left by those not used to such things.
Eventually you all slip into sleep in the most comfortable beds any of you have ever laid upon in your lives, this being the second time for Rose.
The morning eventually comes and you're all woken up by a knock at the door, when a woman announces herself as a staff-servant of the establishment, and she wishes to know if you would like to purchase your breakfast for 15GP, announcing it consists of an omelette made from ten eggs, twelve slices of bacon, gravy-slathered croissants, and a small pint glass of warm milk.
"Oh, ABSOLUTELY!"Fallan nearly chirps. She turns toward Rose and asks: "So why are we bolstering Thundertree when this is where we could be staying? Or is it your hope to have Thundertree be home to a place to rival this establishment at some time soon?"She looks around and waits to hear from the others, but is more than happy to pay for and enjoy the other half of Bell's breakfast as well as her own, should no one else take up Bell's offer.
"Is there a "plan" for the rest of the day, or our onward travels?" she asks no one in particular.
As Roses comes back from her shopping Root is I. The corner meditating. Eventually he goes to sleep dreaming of his small village and his Yvette. As the dream becomes more vivid Root is awoken by the knock on the door. When the servant ask about breakfast Root nod “I could eat again! To be honest I’ll probably order two for myself!”

While shopping with Belle Rose eyed the Ioun stones carefully. She was tempted to buy the purple one outright but decided they best check the rest of market first. On seeing the shield Rose's eyes light up, and upon seeing Belles eyes do the same Rose feels a little conflict for a moment before sighing and tempering her desire for awesome equipment. Besides she had grown attached to her current shield anyway. Rose sells Hew and Lightbringer and purchases the shield, giving it to Belle with a smile.
On the next day Rose eagerly orders food and then prepares to continue on.
With the heavily reluctant purchase made, and the morning having happened with probably the last delicious meal the group would have for a while. As you all head towards the northeastern gate, the guards warn you all that there have been attacks on groups heading to or from this direction lately, and the culprits had yet to be discovered, so little information beyond 'attacks are happening' was available -not that you all weren't already aware of this- and you all proceed beyond it as per usual. Only another three days remain before you reach your destination and eventually the terrain starts to leave the badlands rocky-grey/yellow/black scheme turns back to a more vibrant green. To the north you all see a massive lake known as the Evermoors, that may or may not have been seen just as you entered Yartar.
To the south, in the distance you see massive forests that Rose likely informs you all houses the 'Star Mountains' (Rose can decide if anything related to her religion ever took place there) and the Grandfather tree. The first two days pass by relatively peacefully, and no other freak storms as you leave the Dessarim Valley behind you. You've noticed that not a single person, alone or in a group has passed you nor is pursuing (insomuch as 'going the same way' can be pursuing) Rose knows you're all getting closer to her home, following along the beautiful lake as the road gets ever closer to it, and the forest closes in like a massive natural wall Rose tells you all that you're only a little more than a days ride away as the night starts to settle in.
Root, feeling suddenly extremely homesick, and missing Yvette as the camp is set up, he feels that returning home now would likely be for the best, something in his chest tells him this may be his last chance to return before getting sucked into something else, you all begin to talk as dinner is cooked, and it's Fallan's most favored food: Rations. The night itself however is cloudy, though it doesn't threaten of rain. And Rose feels a tightness in her chest though whether being nervous to see her family, or something else is hard to tell. However, Rose felt distant from Selune with the moon hidden behind the clouds.
The closer they get the more Rose seems to talk, seemingly excited to be showing off her homeland despite its obvious dangers. Rose mentions the dangers of the Moors but also the potential for adventure, she even recounts an adventure she had with Gwen, Ja'Ree and Dot in the Moores to slay a particularly nasty Troll. Rose also points out the High Forest to their south and mentions how on clear days on the forests edge you can see the Star Mountains. Though she'd never been there herself rumors say strange, gleaming lights can be seen coming from the mountain on clear nights. The sighting of Dragons occasionally flying to and from the peaks have kept most people away and those who wanted to brave the mountain haven't exactly come back to tell of what they found.
We'll be out of the Dessrin Valley soon enough. Once we reach Everlund will be in the marches, I promise its much nicer looking than the valley. Mineral-rich mountain ranges, beautiful alpine slopes and valleys, and fertile farmland, well you get the point. Still, we have no shortage of dangers, Uthgardt barbarians, orcs, trolls and of course with mountains come dragons. So keep one eye on the road and another on the sky. Oh and we should just go right through Everlund and push to Silverymoon. Everlund is nice and all but...well politics. The orc hordes did a lot more than just ravage the country side. I'd rather not stick around too long.
When camp was set Rose sat off by herself and stared into the night sky, or what little of visible. Her earlier excitement seemed to have left her entirely leaving her to be almost unrecognizable from her earlier self. Rose quietly said a few prayers to Selûne, praying for safe travel moving forward and a little bit of luck in finding Belles heirloom. Rose would keep watch during the night and get her sleeping in around sunset and sun rise
Silence rules the camp as Root quietly contemplates. With a heavy sigh Root breaks the silence “I think once we get to Silverymoon... I’ll be parting ways. Lately I have been having the vivid dreams and my gut is telling me if I keep going I won’t come back... I can’t leave my village and my Yvette behind.”

Belle listens eagerly to Rose’s spiel on the area, and nods in agreement to her plan for moving forward, eager herself to get on the trail of her heirloom. She will take first watch for the night.
At Root’s comments, Bell looks over to him. “... I know you came this way because of some sort of sign and gut feeling, so if you’ve felt you must return there’s probably a good reason for it.” Bell extends her hand. “It’s been an honor fighting by your side. Good luck. One more smoke for the road?”

Fallan sits alone - though never far from her "protector" friends. The look of the small hobbit can't help but portray a petulant young child pouting over her food, as she barely nibbles at the rations - each bite bringing a distasteful or disgusted look to her face as if spitting out what was in her mouth was seriously being contemplated. Root's comment does break her foul mood and distracts her from what barely counted as sustenance as far as she was concerned.
"Trust me, feelings and signs and words in your head are nothing to ignore. Though I will be *quite* concerned about the change in our group, I would also be concerned for you if you didn't go. May whatever gods look over you keep you in their care, and may Yvette understand what a terrific 'mate'(Fallan gently uses that word, as if afraid to imply more to their relationship than was correct) she has and should cherish."
Turning to Rose she breaches the unspoken concern: "So, do we have a problem continuing on without Root? How does this affect your 'plan'?"
Rose had this point had been staring up at the night sky, though Selûnes light did shine through the clouds Rose still reminded herself that her goddess was always there even when she could not be seen or felt. Roots comment did catch her attention however and she sits up before finally approaching Root. She doesn't say anything at first, instead just staring at the dragonborn for a few moments in silence before hugging him as tight as her small size would allow.
I'm going to miss you big guy! Rose waits a little and finally let's go and says But I understand the need to go your own way, more than most I would wager. You do what you feel is best. Turning to Fallan Rose adds We'll, it should change things. Especially if you're sticking with us to Silverymoon Root, we should be there shortly.
