While you debate on your next course of action, the wind on the ridge picks up. The chill particularly seems to effect Gavyn who is violently shivering involuntarily.
(Gavyn has one level of exhaustion while still cold, Direcris still needs to make the check)
Studying the tower from the ridge, Dench sees the obviously entrances through the door and windows. The rock seems large and solid enough that it could be bored into, perhaps the two buildings could be connected underground. Additionally, there is a gap in the domed roof where the telescope exits the top that could be entered.
Uri notes gap next to the telescope and points to it. "That'd be an easy way for me to gain entrance", he opines. "Maybe I could then descend to the door and let you all in?"
Grumpily puffing his pipe, trying to get warm, Gavyn says, "Not a good idea. No telling what's on the other side. If you found yourself surrounded we couldn't get to you. If the door's locked I should be able to handle it."

"Even if we can sneak in, I am wary of a frontal assault as well," Dench says, "but don't relish the idea of climbing the tower. We could explore the other building and hope the two are connected. Or try a second story window."

"I say we investigate the surrounding area first. I now have reason to be wary of this river. If we have to flee, I would rather we have a couple paths through it that we know are safer. And if there is no danger and we have much to carry," he smiles, "then even better."
He wraps his wet coat tighter around him, his breath a little heavy.
"Why don't you use the magic hut to keep warm, whilst I go scout?" suggests Uri, noticing that several of his companions have turned an unhealthy shade of blue.
(If Direcris and Gavyn spend an hour in the tiny hut they will be dry, warm, and no longer exhausted)
Uri heads up the trail and to the stone bridge. No guards or creatures are visible anywhere on the outside. The monk can see a green light moving around the windows of the tower's first floor.
Can Uri pass the bridge without going over it (e.g. shadow step if it's dark enough), i.e. without compromising stealth? If he can he will do so, otherwise he'll observe awhile longer and then return to the others.
Seeking to be warm and dry as well, Dench will join Direcris and Gavyn in the hut. He hesitates at first, but eventually goes in if that's okay with them.
Uri slips through the shadows to the other side of the bridge (it's about 45 feet long). Nothing seems to be patrolling the grounds, but the windows are crusted with silt and can't be seen through. Aside from the bobbing green glow on the first floor, no light sources are visible anywhere. Close inspection of the large dirty window on the first floor shows that it is stained glass. It depicts a humanoid figure raising their hands to the sky, reaching for a red star. After his inspection, Uri starts to head back to the group.
In the hut everyone warms and drys once protected from howling winds outside. Dench produces the starry orb and holds it out. Perhaps predictably, the orb points toward the tower in the distance.
"We will have to wait for Uri's report, but it seems we could climb the tower," Dench says as if the words taste bad, "try to unlock the front door, try a low window, or investigate the out building and hope the two structures are connected."
Uri reports back to the others what he has - and hasn't seen. He also points out that whilst he can approach unseen, the rest of the party may not be able to do so - it may be wise for him to use his ki to help conceal them (pass without trace).

"What about the other building? I don't fancy the idea of a frontal assault." Uri persists.

Direcris looks like he is about to argue, then a hard shiver runs through him. He sighs and nods his head. He sets up the hut and walks to it.
"Keep me company, Gavyn?"
Whilst the others try to warm up, Uri scouts ahead.

Sir Gadston
"Don't be too long or take too many chances Uri." Gadston calls out.
"Ahh, t he magical mansion of rest." he says looking at the hut. "The wonders of magic. i should have been a wizard!" he says as he enters the hut.
Direcris nods as Dench as looks in, motioning him inside. Then another nod at Gadston.
He watches Uri going across.
"Dench, does the compass show anything else? Has it gone dark since we've arrived?"
Dench draws the compass out of his pack. He holds it in the center of the room for all to see.
