Uri returns unharmed and Dench easily secures the rope to a stone pillar in the middle of the room. Direcris finds mostly books and papers with uninteresting subjects before returning to the party.
(Anyone climbing down the rope into the mist please give me a Strength (Athletics) check)
"Tis a bit too easy," Gadston says as he grasps onto the rope. Gadston is so out of his element right now. Blinded by fog and not knowing where the enemy is at.
"I agree with Sir Gadston," Dench says. He moves toward the bridge, watching the mists, especially wary of signs of movement, trying to be perceptive: 16. (His Passive Perception is 19.)
As the group makes it to the bridge, kept close together by Uri's guide rope, the ground lurches underneath their feet. There is a feeling of the ground moving and the sound of metal gears grinding as the whole island seems to rotate. Water spills out over the bridge as it turns upriver and there is a screech of bats from above.
Sir Gadston Gadston puts up shield and sword, getting into a defensive stance. "My human eyes do little in these conditions," he calls out. "Does anyone see anything?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Hold onto the rope and follow me - do not make a sound", hisses Uri urgently. Suddenly everything is deathly quiet, even their footfalls, as Uri tugs on the rope heading away from the direction of the bridge.
(Uri casts silence, centred upon where they had stood)
Once they are out of the radius of the spell, he stops and waits, listening for the bats or anything else (perception9).
There is no other sound besides the bats, if anyone wanted to see if they heard/saw anything before the silence spell make a Wisdom (Perception) check.

Dench's Strength (Athletics) check: 21
(Hmm. I'll try again: 9. Weird. First it said it couldn't parse the roll and now it gives me a warning.)
Death on the Water and Baldur's Gate Bodyguard
Sir Gadston
Gadston will sheath his sword and swing his shield over his shoulder then make his way down the rope the best he can.
Athletics: 14
Direcris grabs the rope, waits til everyone else is out of the way, then goes down.
Athletics: 2
Once everyone is safely down, Uri will untie the rope and then dance daintily down to join them.
If its not too foggy to read at the base of the tower, Dench says, "Let's have a look at this book."
Death on the Water and Baldur's Gate Bodyguard
"Not now", hisses Uri as he rejoins his companions, "We need to find our way off this island".
"Well," Dench says. "Fine." He moves toward the water, hoping they won't have to climb another cliff. "Do we still need that rope?"
Death on the Water and Baldur's Gate Bodyguard
The party descends easily into the fog. Visibility is low (only 5 ft.), but you all know the bridge is on the far side of the tower.
Direcris will carefully make his way toward the bridge, staying close to the buildings.
"Let us use the rope to hold onto so we don't get separated", Uri suggests.

Direcris - 17
Uri - 19
Gadston - 16
Dench - 3
Enemy - 8
(Your side is up first, you do not see any threat but you hear something coming from above)
((There is another sound besides the bats?))
Dench crouches and looks to the sky. He wishes for Lathander. Anything but this mist. Does he see movement in the clouds?
