The four of you are quickly awake. Vaclav realizes that the owl is aware of the wolf howling but didn't consider it a threat enough to wake you - yet.
The winter has been pretty harsh in this part of the world, so, although it is now early spring, it's possible that wolves might be desperate enough to attack humans, though you'd expect that to be unlikely. More likely is that you are roughly in the middle ground where a pack which was split up was aiming to re-join. If that's so then the wolves are likely to simply keep their distance once they get your scent.
That said, the occasional howling continues, and it's clear it's definitely coming from both sides and getting nearer.
Vaclav sends Chernobog off to get an exact location on one of the groups. He then takes a small piece of leather from the bag at his waist and runs it down his arm. As he does a shimmering layer of magic spreads across his entire body. mage armor

Claire groans and rubs her face, then comes quickly to, donning her armor and preparing her weapons.
"I really didn't think I'd be using these this soon," she says, after stoking the fire a bit higher for more light. Taking a few of her bags of caltrops, she scatters some at the perimeter of the camp, both to slow the wolves down when they approach and to give the team some audible clues as to from where they might attack.
The sound of wolves are coming from the east and west on the map. The road is to the south. Claire lays out a circle of caltrops at a radius of 30' from the centre point of the camp. The area inside the caltrops is considered bright light due to the fire. The area outside that is dimly lit due to the moonlight and stars.
Chernobog reports a pair of mangy-looking wolves about two hundred feet away to the west - they are howling and closing slowly on your position, which does appear to be approximately half way between both wolf packs. Whether this is by design or misfortune is impossible to say.
"Let's prepare 'n' let 'em know tha' we're nae easy supper, eh. Mayhaps the'll be off t' hunt easier meat." Nos Heliwr says softly, loading his hand crossbow. "If we keep the big rock sou'east o' us at 'ur backs they'll nae bes able t' come at us from all sides."

Salazar wakes up, hearing the wolves in the east. "No... I don't want that. Can't we just be left alone?" He starts backing away from them until he hears the wolves in the west as well. "Blast it. Are we their target or are we in the crossfire of a war between rival packs...?"

Yes. You can easily climb them all. Climbing up would be at half speed if done during combat.
You have about two rounds until the wolves reach the edge off the map. Is there anything else you want to do? Or anywhere you particularly want to stand?
Claire will stay within the perimeter ring of the campsite, but attempt to move so that her back is to one of the rocks so she's not open on all sides. She'll keep her weapons sheathed for now, so that she can decide quickly when the wolves approach whether or not she's going to need her javelin or her glaive.
I think it depends where everyone else is climbing ;-) She'd stay close to the rest of the group for a pack of wolves, as it's not likely they're going to fireball us, haha...
"Aye, we might all wanna pr'tend wes birds 'n roost on tha' rock, could save us a great deal o' discomfert, ye ken." So saying Nos Heliwr will climb atop the biggest rock to the SE of the camp. "Wes kin always assault from on high ifn ther' bes a need."

(Let me know if the above arbitrary positions are not satisfactory? The orange circle is both the area of bright light and also the ring of caltrops (assumed not going up on to the rocks). The above map assumes you've all climbed onto the rocks, which I appreciate Claire did not say she was going to do, having re-read. So feel free to correct me before the wolves arrive).
Chernobog tells you that the wolves from the west are nearly here now and in fact you think you can see movement to the west-north-west through the moonlight. The howling has stopped and there is no sign of movement to the east, though that way does have another big rock which is providing quite some cover to that direction and spoiling your vision to a degree.
The two mangy-looking wolves have arrived in your vicinity. They look cautiously at your campfire and the group of humans arrayed before them. Then you hear a terrible howling to the south east of you. It is a thing of pure evil and malevolence.
Can you all make your choice of Nature or History checks please?
