(three thousand - one from each participant. Now we have two resurrections, two restores to life and 14 restorations, one will be used right away)
"Toc, before we go and before you get too used to walk around with your eyes shut..." Mirica put her hand on elf's shoulder, said a few quiet words asking Lathander for a guidance in this dark place and blew off a potion of the precious sparkling dust, restoring Toc's vision.
"Fianna? Want to get rid of your accidental decoration now?"
Toc's eyes snap open. "Oh goodness. Thank you very much. Though of curses, I've experienced worse than having my eyes shut, but being able to see."
Fianna gives Mirica a "what do you think" sorta look, pointing at the stubs on her head that she'd been desperate to rid herself of. The spell cast, the small stubs seem to melt away, leaving Fianna's skull and skin feeling normal. She rubs her head with her hand in relief.
((Actually Fianna would self consciously touch the stubs and be tempted, but suggest that after their adventure is time enough. Having... minimized the intrusion is sufficient for now. Of course she wants them gone and to be back to normal, but let’s wait until we’re sure the resources won’t be needed to save a life, or someone’s vision, before we waste them on cosmetics...))
Jahren identifies the Tapestry. As a final step he touches the tasseled side, which gives him a bit of a shot of energy. The gate on the tapestry, if touched after it is unlocked with the minor unlocking spell (which you don't learn via the identify spell), can transport one as if via plane shift by touch, by holding the destination in mind. If touched while locked, it will transport someone to a random destination. If the forest is touched, locked or unlocked, it will transport one to the Glen of Repose in the Cormanthor forest.
Next he moves to the room with the stone table and the wide array of items. He begins casting his spell while the others watch on, curious to see what he finds. As he completes the ritual and touches one of the items, chaos ensues within the room.
Skeletons appear all around the table, wearing tattered robes, their elongated elven skulls with long dried chunks of flesh on them. Their tattered clothes seem to show a common symbol of an open mouth spewing out stars. They move to attack, their undead bodies moving with surprising alacrity and skill.
(Roll init.)
Skeletons 1 - 4: 22
Skeletons 5 - 8 : 8
If you go before both groups, feel free to take your turn. The room is 40 by 40, though Jahren is near the center having just touched one of the items on the table.
(Oops, good on the DM for being on top of it, as I've forgotten that Identify is Touch, since it usually doesn't make a difference when you just find a magic sword or something. Should have thought of that before touching the things marked 'do not touch'. Oh well, more combat fun! :) )
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
One of the skeleton's snatches the rod off of the table. As it grabs the rod, the head seems to metallically sprout four blunt blades, turning it into a mace. It attacks Jahren with it : Attack: 16 Damage: 5 and again, Attack: 9 Damage: 10, and again Attack: 15 Damage: 5.
One of the other skeletons grabs a longsword, the bejeweled sheath getting flung away as it also attacks Jahren. Attack: 14 Damage: 10 and again, Attack: 23 Damage: 6, and again Attack: 14 Damage: 6.
The third skeleton grabs a bit glimmering battle axe from the table, it turns to the rest of the group near the door and it swings at ([Tic,Toc,Chen,Fianna,Mirica,SinSin,Loane] 7. ) Fianna who is closest, the Axe moving like a blur as the skeleton wields it like a master warrior. Attack: 20 Damage: 13 and again, Attack: 30 Damage: 21, and again Attack: 26 Damage: 11.
The last skeleton, bereft of weapons, grabs a magical helm from the table and swings it at 7 Fianna as well : Attack: 11 Damage: 4 Attack: 19 Damage: 4 Attack: 22 Damage: 5
SinSin slips past Fianna, and engages the skeleton with the axe, moving like a snake, Attack: 27 Damage: 12 Attack: 9 Damage: 4 Attack: 26 Damage: 5 Attack: 18 Damage: 8 Bones crack, and bits fly around the room, but the expert warrior skeleton guardian seems to move to absorb the damage as well as possible, and continues fighting.
Toc mutters to himself, as he casts a spell that has no apparent affect.
Seeing the undead attacking his companions, Chen tries to push his way into the room as far as possible, hoping to push the skeletons away from his companions, and absorb the brunt of the attacks.
Not sure how to do this, but can Chen pass through Fianna's space to shove S4 and then hit it? If not, can he shove Fianna first (either to the side or to the ground) and then shove S4? Can you replace both attacks with shoves, or just one?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(You can pass through Fianna's space freely. You try to shove the skeleton back. Attack: 8 Damage: 0). oops, messed that up, but, you shove S4 back, and then slam him with your maul)
Chen rushes past Fianna, slamming into the one of the skeletons, sending it clattering backwards. Then he follows up with his Maul, which comes swinging around and crunching into its bones. The warrior creature manages to deflect some of the blow but chips of bones fly into the air regardless.
Fianna was careful watching Jahren do his thing and was so enraptured by the process that she doesn’t notice the attacking horde until the skeleton with the axe was swinging at her. She dodged as best she can but is unsuccessful and takes some licks from the axe. The only bright spot is that her unsuccessful dodging of the axe utterly confounded the helm wielding skeleton and, quite by accident, she avoided their feeble attacks altogether...
((still waiting on her turn, just adding some fishing flair))
Mirica steps forward, her holy blazing light held forth as she attempts to drive away the undead...who seem to completely ignore the display of holy power.
The other skeletons hang back, unable to get close enough to attack, except one that leaps up onto the table and tries to kick at Jahren a few times.
Jahren endures the many blows, dodging a few others, and quickly his signature confidence and smile are gone. The half-elf has many talents but resilience to physical punishment is not one of them. When he has an opportunity between blows and is able to get off a spell he yells "ha ha, you cannot defeat me!" with exaggerated confidence to keep their attention but then casts Mislead. Leaving his illusory double behind to hopefully draw a few attacks before they figure it out, the invisible Jahren backs off, moving to a safer space or even past a couple of his new friends to safety.
"Why do you attack us so?" Fianna shouts out to the skeletons as if she expected an answer. She didn't at all, but it would be nice.
"Má tá an draíocht sa taipéis, scrios an taipéis!" She continued, and with a wave of her hand sent forth three crackling beams of energy which all struck out at the tapestry which was the source of these boneheads.
Eldritch Blast Attack: 30 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
((All three beams at the tapestry, hoping to destroy it and their attackers. Though RAW does say the beams streak towards a creature... If we are being that precise then... two beams against S4, one against S3. Spell language should change but *shrug*))

Elves, using undead as guardians? After that "Objet d'art" aka Sentinel? Mirica felt deeply disappointed in those ancient elves.
The place became even more crowded, once she joined the frontliners. She raised her shield with traditional priest's "Be gone, foul creatures"
