"It may please you to know, or perhaps not for having missed it, that this impressive group of heroes here vanquished Viridianantallax just yesterday, with Chen here laying claim to the kill with a mighty blow from his maul. We too have learned of several more in the region for your hunt, however."
"May I have your name, Champion?"
Jahren studies the Dragonborn's companions to see if they are equals to what he discerns to be a skilled warrior in their new acquaintance, or more common soldiers, squires and the like.
Fianna releases FinFin to the skies once more, sending them up and about to scout the area and see if there are any more newcomers in the area. Also to scout of more of those black anti-magic chaos crazy Jello things. It would be best to not have one of those occur unannounced!
For her own self, Fianna will nod to the silvery Dragonborn when she is introduced by Jahren but will pay much more attention to those accompanying him, eyeing them up and trying to discern their roles and stances.
Brown-haired green-eyed human looking woman (the one Jahren introduced as Mirica) watched with a growing curiosity Jahren overdoing himself for the - let's face it - suspicious strangers in the treacherous ruins. The Order must have hit him hard (as a concept) and formal courtesy of ancient elves was still dripping from every word and gesture the bard used in that conversation. A show to be seen, truly. She did not interfere, just tilted her head a bit enjoying a sudden entertainment.
You each get the distinct sense that the three human men with the silver dragonkin warrior are certainly squires. They wear his silver and blue uniform, only two are wearing leather armor, the last no armor at all, and their stance and behavior doesn't reveal any sort of skill or hidden abilities, other than perhaps following their liege's orders.

Chen waits patiently until Jahren's florid introductions are complete, but then can no longer contain his enthusiasm at seeing a fello dragonborn, and he rushes forward to shake hands with the knight.
Greetings and well met, Sir Sebastian. What lucky chance that two of our kind might cross paths in such a place. I am from clan Aurumnonfulget. What of you?

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Ah, I see. Generations devoted to Bahamut. This is good, though I am more partial to Eldath myself.Releasing Sebastian's hand, Chen continues: The dragons you seek are called Viridianantallax, Gwyrddentuliar and Berdeanostia, all the offspring of Verdant Cloud. As our eloquent friend has stated, we were fortunate enough to defeat the first of these. We also learned that it was in league with an ancient evil, a necromancer that was entombed in this place. I don't speak for the whole group, but if your goals align with ours, we would be pleased to assist you. Looking over Sebastian's shoulder, Chen adds: But perhaps we could discuss it over a meal.
"Of course Sebastian can join us," Fianna says in a tone. "As can his friends, if they wish."
Fianna was mostly paying attention to the sights she was seeing while FinFIn scouted the area rather than the conversation but she certainly didn't want this new found knight to be thinking this party was signing up to be more of his foot soldiers or squires or lackeys or anything.
"Just why are you hunting the dragons? Just on general principle or do you have a wall needing a head to decorate it?"
Without saying a word about the subject, Jahren sizes up Sebastian and his squires and decides they can be trusted just as much as any of the other companions he has joined up with over the past week or so. He's glad to have more help on such a perilous quest, and as always will study each of his companions over time to learn more about them.
(Insight on the off chance that Sebastian or one of these squires is trying to hide a dark secret or something, but obviously unlikely for a new PC so not a big deal: 27)
to the squires, "prepare food and perhaps some tea for these hungry travellers, we shall lunch while we talk"
to the party "im sorry that there will not be enough chairs but the ground is good enough for sitting
"a request for help was sent to the Order by the high lady of Elventree, i was available so i was sent. I seek information and to rid the world of Verthandantalynx and her brood Viridianantallax , Berdeanostia , and Gwyrddentuliar , they are a blight on the land and the forest, if you have already slain Viridianantallax also called Viridian then all is the better
Once there is some distance between the skeletal guardians and the group, Jahren presents Chen with the axe of Xyrrois (+3). He tells Chen that they let him choose one item and this seemed most useful to the group, and well earned for the dragonborn who keeps the rest of them safe from the dark forces about. Surely he who took down the green dragon would be a friend to the elves, as well, and he hopes it will be put to good use in helping to rid Myth Drannor of the evil that currently lurks there.
As Sebastian orders a light meal and her squires begin preparing, Jahren smiles and says to his other, non-dragonborn companions "perhaps we've all perished and gone to Chen's version of a preferred afterlife? Food, dragonborn, tea, and a side of some light dragon hunting..."
"We'll manage,"assured Mirica their new companion (Sebastian did not join officially yet but discussion is a good reason for a fine meal on a fresh air). She unceremoniously sat on the ground with a posture of someone used to more "natural" accommodations and patted the ground near by inviting Fianna to join. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Sir Sebastian. There is one problem, though. As much as we all would agree here that the dragon family has to go - they do try to take over some trade routs already - we are not a dragon hunting party and after a much more sinister enemy. Can not postpone our mission either. Would an menace greater than a dragon be a good enough reason for you to change your plans and come with us?" It seemed others were fully convinced of Sebastian's trustworthiness, and one more blade between them and the evils wizard? Yes, please! Still, she quietly asked the fey already traditional question: "Is he a part of the vision?"
Sebastian shrugs, sips his tea "Evil is evil whether it be dragons or something else, both are a detriment to the common folk just trying to get by. i have no timeline on eliminating these dragons, and eliminating something ""more sinister"" you say is a worthwhile endeavor, if you would like i shall lent you my sword arm and shield"
he motions the squires away for a bit , leaning forward "my one stipulation is that these three not be put into any unnecessary hardship, they are to learn the ways of the world, but they arent fighters yet, helpful as they are they were assigned to me and i try not to get them harmed"
leaning back again with another sip of tea,,looking at Mirica "Is that answer suitable?" he asks with a toothy smile
The overcast sky is dark and threatening. A cold brisk wind blows through the ruins and the air has the taste of moisture to it. Everyone finds a place to sit while Radic and Mouse set about putting on a kettle and pulling out some food stuffs, slicing off thin slabs of ham, and putting together some very fine looking sandwiches. They hand them out a short while later and you're all enjoying a rather fresh lunch snack as you chat.
Mirica's questing inside herself for an answer....reveals nothing. No pull, no feeling.....just the beat of her own heart, thudding away in its constant rhythm.
Fianna pays special attention to FinFin as her friend scouts overhead, flapping up into the wind swept grey sky to look around. She sees rain coming for one, a wall of drizzle that thickens into a solid downpour, scouring its way across the forest towards them. Fianna figures she probably has about thirty minutes before the rain reaches them. Down amidst the ruins she she's the occasional sparkle of torn threads in the air, and spots one of the strange disturbances some ways off, the black shadowy cloud sitting in one spot and not moving. Glancing around she catches glimpse of a cloaked figure moving through the ruins. Though the rocky terrain makes it difficult to track and she loses it. If she wants to investigate further she could go scouting off in that direction.

Mirica glanced at the darkening sky and moved closer to the tree trunk - some cover from the wind and coming rain - continuing the conversation.
"Could not ask for a better one." Mirica's smile was nowhere as toothy but betrayed her not completely human nature nevertheless. "Welcome to the team, Sir Sebastian, your help might be needed indeed. We are dealing not with an open enemy but with magic itself - you might not noticed it yet, or did not have the means to notice, but we are inside the field of a wild unpredictable magic, that can turn on you when you least expecting. It can be that sending those boys away - even through the forest with dragons, orcs and drow in it - still will be the safer option. But you will see soon enough - we should be close to another entrance by now."
"Are we, Toc?" Toc was talking about a mile and by her calculations they had to be almost there.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fianna relays all the information she gleans through the eyes of FinFin to the group as a whole as a bit of a running narrative that intersperses the rest of the typical conversation.
"We'll want to find shelter, rain half an hour or so..."
"More threads to the east...."
"Oh, another Bedlam Blob! But it doesn't seem to be moving..."
"What was tha..." Fianna blurts off but then cuts off abruptly. She quickly weighs the pros and cons of sending FinFin in for a closer look and can't help but request that they do so. This isn't a place people would just randomly be passing by, specially with such a skulk on. Whoever that is, something is up.
"Sebastian... Have we now met everyone in your party?" Fianna asks suspiciously. She couldn't help it, she never fully trusted people who had people. Friends is good. Employees fine. But people who just waited on your needs for just the hope that scraps'll come their way? She just didn't like it. "No more serfs or squires or such that you forgot to share with us? Or perhaps, could someone have followed you here?"
Even as she is starting to inquire with Sebastian, FinFin is trying to stealthfully swoop down lower amongst the branches and foliage to once again catch site of the mysterious figure.
FinFin Stealth: 23
FinFin Perception: 19 ((Advantage because I assume their looking for the figure relies upon sight, hearing or smell...))
