Garrison who seems to be working on some armor glances up at Fianna with a grimace when she says "serfs or squires"....regarding her none too kindly.
FinFin swoops down into the area, which is about 700 yards from where the group was. The thing was right...around here somewhere... landing on a high cliff of rock, FinFin glances....and...there is it. The creature seems to be examining a crack in some rock. Then it turns, and under its hood FinFin sees the lashing tentacle face of an Illithid. It looks directly at Fianna, through FinFin's eyes. FinFin make a Wisdom saving throw.
Toc glances around at Mirica's question, "I'd say we're maybe 10 minutes from where we need to be? Then I can start looking around...." He glances at the camp, "I assume it'll take good Sebastion here a few minutes to get moving....are you suggesting we escort his people out of the area of the Mythal before we go? I'd say that it's about 20 minutes walking south to get to the edge of the Mythal....so....everything is pretty close."

FinFin hisses at the alien looking creature and flies at it! Leaping from their perch, the pseudo dragon flies full speed directly at the face of the creature which attacked it...
Until Fianna uses an action to dismiss her familiar into a pocket dimension. A moment later Fianna summons her friend back from that dimension and onto her shoulders, where she coos to it gently and tell them what a good job they've done.
After that Fianna will describe to the rest what happened. "Chen, you want to describe the head we found to our new friend?" Fianna suggests when the description is needed. "Besides the head it basically looks more of less human, though it's mainly hidden by its cloak so who really knows? All these dangers in one area... The dark wizard , the dragons, the drown the Bedlam Blobs and now these strange looking tentacle creatures... This cannot be coincidental. There's has to be a mastermind moving the pieces all into the same area of the chessboard..."
Sebastians brow furrows. "Indeed what you are describing does sound like to much to be a coincidence. Even before the city mountain fell on this place it was a land of strange tales. Great good and even greater.evil"
"The evil is not greater... Is never greater. No matter how dark the night there is still light in the skies, even if hidden by clouds," Fianna will say, a bit of desperation in her soft voice. Perhaps trying to convince herself...
With that, large wet rain drops begin thumping down, dark blotches appearing on the rocks and in the dirt around you.
Toc steps just under the canopy where he's out of the rain and nods to Jahren, and to Sebastion, "Indeed, I can create a magical hut that will keep your men safe while we are busy. Then they will not need to withdraw out of the ruins to the forest. If you so desire, it will take me a few minutes to summon."
He walks out of the canopy, and begins dropping dust in a large 20 foot wide circle. He then stands before the circle he's drawn and begins muttering arcane words for about 11 minutes. An opaque brown hemisphere appears when he's done. "Your men should be safe in here. They can enter and leave as they wish. Inside is dry and warm. Shall we leave them here and proceed on foot to the tomb?"

Mirica finished her tea and returned the mug to the squires - Fianna can think what she wants, but for those lacking familiars, apprentices are the blessing. And have not we all get through it at some point?
"Let's go. Can we get around that Blob safely? Somehow the idea of mixing the storm and wild magic does not sound good to me."
The servants safe, at least until the spell ends, Fianna will consult with Toc and try ascertain the best path to their destination based on Fianna and FinFin's best descriptions of where the threads and the blob are.
"Please tell me about these blobs, i dont believe that i have encountered them yet
Sebastian finishes his preparations by placing his shield on his right arm turning once again to the squires
"You young-ones will be safe in that thing so please use it, no unnecessary bravery on your part right, you arent here to die gloriously despite what your parents have told you
Garrison raises an eyebrow at Sebastion, "You're not exactly an old man yourself Sir. Good hunting. May scales part beneath your blade." The almost double edged blessing is genuine and both Mouse and Radic grab tea cups and plates and start washing, returning them to the padded box while the group packs up and heads out. Sebastion glances to the nearby crevice he was planning on exploring and sighs, as he turns to follow this lot on their way.
Toc explains to Sebastion as they walk, "The blob's seem to be some sort of confluence of torn, distrupted magic, and shadow magic...tied somehow to the Mythal I'd guess. If you've noted the odd sparkling in the sky, they seem to be torn threads of the weave of magic. Something is damaging the very weave that drives all magic. Well, these things seem to be a combination of those, plus the Mythal energy, plus Shade energy. We don't know if they're intelligent or just attracted to magic. Either way, casting spells at them caused some very strange things to occur." He glances down a small canyon, "This way..."
FinFin flies overhead, but doesn't see anymore sign of the Illithid. The 'blob' is several hundred yards north and not along their path, so it seems to be easy to avoid. Eventually Toc calls a halt. Ahead is a section of Myth Drannor ruins not buried in mountain. Though still decimated, the crackled jumbled marble reveals what was once a large open square. In the center the rubble of what was perhaps a statue or large fountain sits. Toc approaches and picks up one half of a stone head, that of an elven maid. He grunts, and lets the rock fall from his hand, then spins about orienting himself and walks towards several large piles of crushed buildings. There, amidst the ruins, you see what appears to be a section that has been excavated, stones pushed out of the way to reveal a stairway that descends into the earth. Toc glances around and states the obvious, "Someone has cleared the path into his tomb. It's down there."
A low growl issues from his throat and he points at Tic. The two of them have a silent conversation. Toc looks about, "This is it, shall we?"

Sebastian would be close to the front due to entering an unknown area
he also (since its a tomb) uses Devine Sense as the party decends
As an action, you can detect good and evil. Until the end of your next turn, you can sense anything affected by the hallow spell or know the location of any celestial, fiend, undead within 60 ft. that is not behind total cover
((Fianna can bring up the rear of the group, much her her use being at range anyway. Plus FinFIn can have his head curling out of her hood and watching behind them...))

"You mean we are diving in without scouting it first?" No, Mirica was not scared, not even overcautious, just surprised by breaking the routine. On the other hand, the rain was almost upon them and it was such an occasion to test the boots... She stepped in first - careful and curious.
Wide marble stairs descend into the ground. The staircase spins into a spiral staircase that goes down for thirty feet before opening into a dark passage. The unlit hall is made of the same plain white stone and an easy throw away, ends in large double doors that depict three angry fiendish creatures being drawn into a spiral of magical energy.
(Order let me know if it needs to be changed: Mirica, Sebastion, Chen, Jahren, Toc, Fianna/FinFin).
Fianna, as the group begins to descend, the rain begins to fall in earnest. FinFin, glancing behind you grabs your attention, and way up in the grey sky, you see the shape of a large dragon flying overhead. It must be nearly 500 feet up.

Ild prefer they went to Elventree but any port in a storm as the sailors say"
