"Where Seth walks now, no one knows an' no one cares," shouts Butter as he exits into the other room. "But wherever, he ain't need that smashed meat anymore. Let him burn, too." You hear Farley and Butter clamber up the stairs to the ground floor. As they reach the top step, hideous screams again pierce the air. "AAAIEEEEEEE AI! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!" You hear Butter shriek and Farley stumble.
Meanwhile, Dain pushes the shelves out of the way - they glide smoothly to the side, and the panel easily and quietly opens up into a worked stone passage leading East.
“Was just the magical trap that spooked me the first time,” Fianna assures Kelnan. “They’ll be fine... and if not, I’ll lose no rest over it. Abandoning one of their own, threatening to blame us and burn the place atop us?”
Fianna stews for a moment then smiles. “Butters may need to have an accident some day if we survive all this... but come, let’s explore.”
Peering into the new corridor, you see a set of stairs leading down, then turning south at a landing. Flickers of reflected torchlight can be seen at the landing. All is quiet, except for the sounds of Butter's sloppy boots on the floor above you as he and Farley storm through the front of the house toward the front door.
Molo leads the way down the cut stone steps and quietly peers around the corner. Another space or passage, this one made of uneven natural stone, opens up down another short flight of steps. Molo spots a lit torch set in a crude bracket upon the wall. The wall looks wet; a musty odor fills the air. You can feel the humidity in the air.
If Molo wants space to scout I’ll give it to him. Otherwise Dain will be up front with him. Either which way Dain prefers to be up there in the thick of things.
"I would be happy to follow up second if you would allow a few minutes to prepare in order to detect any magical threats. We know this bunch uses illusions and alarm."
He takes a seat on the bed near the secret door, pulls out his spellbook, and begins a chant to cast Detect Magic.
Molo creeps ahead down the stairs and peers carefully around the corners. (Roll Stealth and Perception checks!) He sees an east west natural stone corridor. It opens up to the southwest into a dark, empty chamber; to the east, the lit corridor slopes downward and appears to fork.
Meanwhile, back in the bunkroom, Kelnan begins his ritual. In-between, the impatient party waits...
"At least carry your commander's corpse out of here for a proper burial, you cowardly git!!" Fianna calls after them and then sighs.
"Ok, let's open this and carry on..."
Dain will look around and assuming everyone else is ready, he will heft his frilly mace and attempt to open the concealed door.

Kelnan whispers to the group "Bunch of lazy gits. Shall we check on them? If someone's up there they might not be aware of us yet."

"Down? Perhaps towards the water?" Fianna asks to nobody in particular. She takes a sniff of the air, trying to see if she can smell the ocean...
Fianna perception check: 11
Fianna smells little but sweaty kobold.
Molo gives himself a sniff, shudders, and proceeds to lead the way down the stairs, his shortsword at the ready.

(Sweaty Kobold... Adds some noodles and broth, season to taste, and bam! You got yourself some very vile soup....)
