Shipwrecked in Saltmarsh

Kelnan clocks the pirate wizard with a ball of lightning, even as he has his own arc of electricity stinging Dain. He staggers (and smokes a bit) but remains upright. (DC 10 Concentration check: 21 )

 The old crossbowman continues firing at Dain:
Light Crossbow Attack: 14 Piercing damage: 8

And a second bolt flies down from the dark sky above, aimed at Kelnan:
Light Crossbow Attack: 10 Piercing damage: 9

 Both bolts miss, but the wizard maintains his electrical arc with Dain.

A hatch door slams open from a cabin under the forecastle, near where Katernin is hiding under the jolly boat. A man with a hook for a hand staggers out, taking stock of what's happening on deck. (He has a hammer in his human hand.) More crewmen are behind him, and a bit of lantern light spills out. (This door is nearby but different than the one the strange lizard-faced humanoid peered out of earlier.)

 Fianna, Katernin, and Molo may act next.

Molo drags the dead captain’s body and flops it onto the main deck before shouting at the new crew.

”GIVE UP AND YOU’LL LIVE!”

The hook handed man spits at Molo. "I'll kill you first for that."

At least three other figures stand in the hatch, behind the hook-handed man. Immediately behind him you can see at a bald, heavily-tattooed woman brandishing two scimitars. (They are nearest Katernin and Kelnan.)

Also on deck is the old crossbowman up on the forecastle (near Katernin and Kelnan), and the deck wizard and the lantern boy on the poop deck (near Dain). Also an unseen bowman up in the rigging somewhere.

 Fianna and Katernin may act next.

     Fianna is paddling back to the main boat and climbing back on board when she gets there.

(Having spent her last turn returning to the ship, Fianna uses the rest of her move to climb the rope and hop over the rails of the ship. She uses up her move, but if she has a ranged attack or other action she'd like to use, she may still use it.)

Katernin may act as well.

     Tired, annoyed, and soaked by waves and splash, Fianna finishes climbing the rope to the top of the pirate ship and, swinging one leg over taking a look at the situation, picks a target and lets loose an Eldritch Blast at the wizard who's called her so much frustration!  hook handed man - Never trust a man with a hook!

Eldritch Blast Attack: 8 Damage: 12 at wizard...

(Fianna can't see the wizard from where she's standing. Does she want to target the crossbowman, the hook-handed man, or the dual-wielding bald woman, instead?)

Fianna's beam of energy nearly barrels over the hook-handed man. He lobs a foul swear at her in return.

Katernin, sheltering under the upside-down jolly boat, may act next. 

The wizard continues to blast Dain with his arc of punishing electricity. (Automatic) Lightning Damage: 7

Katernin climbs out from under the boat and starts to move to rejoin the rest of the group, summoning divine flames to strike one of the people standing nearby her, while at the same time summoning a glowing scimitar, with embellishments of vines on the full blade. It swings at another one of the pirates.

Action: Cast Sacred Flame at the dual-wielding women: DC 13 dex save or take 3 radiant damage

Bonus Action: Cast Spiritual Weapon and have it swing at the hook-handed man
Attack: 15 Damage: 10

Dain is so enraged he’s shrugging most of the lightning damage off. But he is beginning to look like it’s taking its toll. He’s heavily wounded. 

(OOC: half damage for Rage. Now less than half HP remaining)

The two-scimitar woman dodges the radiance from above - Dex Save: 20

...but is nonetheless slightly seared.
Katernin's leafy glowing scimitar cuts deep into the arm of the man with the hook. He bellows with fury.

The hook-handed man charges Katernin and swings wildly with his hook at her.
Hook Attack: 14 Piercing damage: 4 

The hook bites deeply. Katernin is now grappled by the hook (escape DC 13).
"Ye' shoulda stayed under yer rock," snarls the hook man.

Up on the poop deck, Dain and Kelnan may act next. Dain is still electrically connected to the wizard.

Dain tries to smash the wizard.  He’s really pissed now, so isn’t going to be subtle enough to try and knock him out.  He’s going for the kill.

Attack Recklessly : 22 Damage: 7 

Note: Dain is granting Advantage to anyone attacking him before his next turn. 

Dain clobbers the wizard, sending him reeling. He's in rough shape. (Concentration save: 10)

 He barely maintains his electrical arc with Dain.

Kelnan may act next. He can see all of his opponents (except the unseen crossbowman above), and is in move-to-melee range of the wizard, the hookman, and the lantern boy.

Kelnan makes his best attempt to finish off the wizard and protect Dain with a Ray of Frost.

Attack: 15 Cold Damage: 2

Kelnan fires another blue-white beam, this time at the deck wizard. The glow briefly lights up the rigging in the dark.
(Lemme reroll that as it's not rendering for some reason!) Spell Attack: 22 Cold Damage: 8

 The beam catches him full in the face. He struggles for a moment and then collapses, his face encased in ice. His electrical arc with Dain disappears.

Mayhem continues across the deck.

The boy with the lantern glances between his ice-encrusted comrade and Dain, then puts down his light and raises his hands in surrender. "Don't freeze me!" he shouts at Dain in panic.

An unseen crossbowman above fires at Molo:
Light Crossbow Attack: 5 Piercing damage: 3

The old man on the forecastle fires at Kelnan:
Light Crossbow Attack: 13 Piercing damage: 3

A stout woman with a scimitar charges Fianna, screaming incoherently:

Katernin, hooked and grappled by the burly one-armed man, is swarmed by two more scimitar-wielding goons determined to run her through:

The hookman prepares to bash her with the hammer he holds in his non-hook hand (will wait for initiative.) "Kill her dead!" shouts the hookman.

Two more crossbowmen fire from the open doorway under the forecastle:
Light Crossbow Attack (vs. Kelnan): 14 Piercing damage: 6
Light Crossbow Attack (vs. Fianna): 22 Piercing damage: 6

It's a chaotic bloodbath.
Molo is hit by a bolt across his scalp and ear.
Kelnan (unless he produces another shield) is hit in the gut with the first bolt.
Fianna takes a slash across her arm and a bolt in the shoulder.
Only Katernin (thanks to her thick armor) manages to come out unscathed for the moment, although she is still grappled and mobbed by hostile thugs.
Dain is faced with a frightened surrendering teenager.
