As Fianna heals herself and Fi’Finella Octofin begins to harass the attackers, Dain continues his rampage.
He swims to one who assaulted the captain, and strikes it a killing blow. It sinks below the waves. Still burning with fury, Dain turns and churns water toward the rightmost one, and sinks it as well.
Only one creature remains, and it is seriously wounded. Nevertheless, it does not seem to have a moment of hesitation at the sight of the loss of its comrades.
The captain swims back to his vessel and climbs aboard it, near Kelnan.
Kelnan, Molo, and Katernin may act next. Only one target remains.
Molo continues his ritual (unless he tells me otherwise...)
Two dwarven crossbowmen reappear, and take aim at the remaining hostile. Dwarven Crossbowman #1 vs Last Harpoonist: 23 Piercing damage: 11 Dwarven Crossbowman #2 vs Last Harpoonist: 12 Piercing damage: 4
They, too, miss their target in the thrashing waves.
Katernin, flying over the battle, may act next. The sleet continues to blow and swirl.
The surviving harpoonist, badly wounded and in no position to carry on the attack, continues on nevertheless. It clearly is prepared to fight to the death.
With great effort, it tosses its harpoon once again - this time at Fianna. Harpoon Attack: 11 Hit: 11 10 piercing damage (and must succeed on a DC 23 Strength contest or be pulled into the sea again.)
Fortunately, Fianna dodges the massive harpoon, and it clatters harmlessly on the deck.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(I am assuming I can reach the last guy).
Dain swims towards the last harpoonist and swings his maul with an almighty scream of rage!
Move: swim to last harpoonist Action: Reckless Power Attack 1: 21 Damage: 28 Reckless Power Attack 2: 20 Damage: 22 Bonus Rage damage: 6 radiant damage added to first hit. Note: Granting advantage to attacks and still raging.
(Ooh that is a big couple of hits! But the crit also grants me a bonus action attack:)
Bonus Action: Reckless Power Attack : 20 Damage: 22
Edit: The bonus damage on the Divine Fury would have had the d6 rolled twice as it was a critical hit, so, (should it matter) there should be an extra 6 radiant damage added to all that!
Dain can't quite reach the last attacker, but it doesn't matter – Fianna finishes the foul beast with an arcane blast. It sinks beneath the waves, quite dead.
Combat is over. The captain swims back to the ship and gracefully climbs aboard. "Blast this wreck to th' Nine Hells!" he commands to everyone and no one. "Get us off this rock!"
Katernin flies back to the ship and lands, raising her hands as her air whips back. She seems to be waiting for someone else to blast the wreaked ship before casting though.
Readying to cast Wind Wall to help the ship move once the wreak has been blasted as the captain so eloquently put
Fianna will use a prestigious amount of Eldritch Blast against the shipwrecked ship they are stuck on... She'll pace up and down the railing of the ship to peer down and blast away at the other one wherever they seem to be stuck.
Kelnan uses his Mage Hand to gather the attacker's ropes and weapons, and then tries to help free the ship, but suspects it lacks the strength to do much but rattle loose boards. He tries to get a better look at the sunken statue as well. (Is Detect Magic still active?)
Molo finishes his ritual. He can now see through the clairvoyant sensor he has placed in the lower deck of the old wreck. He sees an empty cabin, with two large hatches leading aft. A large boulder protrudes through the hull on the port side. There are no signs of life.
Fianna starts firing generously at the stern of the old wreck, where the ship has ridden up upon it. Kelnan ineffectually pushes upon it.
Kelnan detects nothing new: Auras of enchantment and necromancy magic radiate from the giant figure in the hold, and an aura of divination magic emanates from something in the bottom of the stern on the wreck's port (near) side.
Katernin uses her powers to create an invisible wall of moving air. While it has no ability to move or push the ship, it does shield the vessel from the wind and calms the ocean, allowing the work to proceed with much more efficiency.
Kelnan approaches Fianna and points toward the divination aura. "Could your little friend have a look in the lower stern, port side? Something interesting down there perhaps."
He wants to urge the crew to retrieve the statue, but waits to suggest it until the ship is safe.
Fianna would relay the directions, best she can, to OctoFin and have them go there… or start to. “Once we are freed I can direct them more precisely, but until then I need my senses in my own body.”
But indeed, if/when the ship gets unstuck, Fianna will be looking to send her mind into her familiar and see directly through its senses in an attempt to find and examine and, perhaps, take the item in question…
“I would love to examine the statue more as well,” she would mention to Kelnan, “but not sure it’s worth the risk.”
Definitely. The hold is pretty deep - 20 or 25' down - but not too deep for a hearty adventurer like yourself! (Albeit way too deep for a middle-aged IRL DM!)
Keep in mind: • A creature can hold its breath for a number of minutes equal to 1 + its Constitution modifier (minimum of 30 seconds).
Katernin's wind wall only holds for about one minute; Molo's clairvoyant sensor only ten. Is there anything further anyone wants to do while either spell remains active? The dwarves make some headway, taking advantage of Katernin's calm to winch the ship back off the rocks; it is still somewhat stuck on the old wreck; and the damage to the hull is not trivial. The ship will need significant repairs.
Katerin's wall falls, and the wind and swells return, but the dwarves have managed to sufficiently free and pull the ship back some forty feet in the meantime with their winch system. Fianna continues her blasting of the wreck below.
Octofin and Molo (via his sensor) can see the closed door to the port stern cabin, partially shattered by an old collision and fresh eldritch blasts. It may be open from the outside of the hull as well, but it's too dangerous for Octofin to explore with the blasting continuing from above, and Molo's eye is stationary.
“Stop blasting a second and let the octopus get through! It’ll just take a minute.” Molo is not real with it, seeing through the sensor instead of his body
Fianna will herself, or have some else if more convenient, check with the Dwarven Captain if it's ok to stop the blasting or not, and will do so once given the OK. But in her mind the priority is the ship and the dwarves, not whatever potential may be down there... So she will take the captains advice. That which is sunken will stay until they can free themselves first...

Kelnan nods at the captain, and strikes out at the remaining attacker with a Ray of Frost.

Is it something within reach of a strong swimmer?
