This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nobody knows anything about Aubreck, although you recall overhearing Hanna bending Molo's ear with some minor gossip regarding somebody with a name similar to that, but you didn't catch the details.
The party begins to stroll up the street toward the temple. You run into Katernin, and with her, Oceanus. Oceanus is having a serious and quiet discussion with her in Elvish.
– – –
Molo begins to harass the scrawny goon trying to escape the hole. (He tries again:3 )
Almost, but it's very steep and slippery. He is hopping mad and a little panicky as he desperately tries to scramble out, shouting silent curses. The guy with the sword follows Molo to the latrine, looking none too happy himself. (Is Molo continuing to concentrate on the 20' radius sphere of Silence?)
"Ah, hello miss," Dain greets Katernin. "Well met again, elf" he nods at Oceanus. Strange to see that elf in the town, but this is a really strange place it seems.
"We have a lunch invitation at the Aubreck manor today,"Dain informs the priestess. "I hope you'll join us?" He turns to the elf. "I'm not sure the invite was extended to you too, sorry."
Fianna greets both and is interested to see if either have an idea of Molo’s whereabouts, though surely Oceanus does not.
Fianna, when the conversation he is having with Katernin allows, well ask what Oceanus is doing in town, etc... but she’ll also broach the subject of body recovery with him. “My underwater scout found the wreck but there was no signs of the bodies. I was wondering if perhaps you’d have a better understanding of currents or such that could give us a clue? I was looking to buy some Magic’s that would allow us to explore comfortably ourselves but none is currently available...”
"Go." commands the swordsman to Molo. "I'll deal with this one. I'll throw him into the harbor myself."
The goon in the pit begins to scream at Molo as soon as the sound returns. "Monster!" he shouts, jumping to catch a handhold. "He tried to kill me! Monster!"
"Go! Get out of here," insists the swordsman again to Molo.
– – – –
Oceanus clearly cannot follow the conversation in Common, but responds to Fianna's request in Elvish for assistance.
"Of course. I am happy to help. Direct me to the wreck and I will look for you."
We really ought to agree where we'll meet each other in future, Dain muses. "Fianaa, can ya get yer flying friend to go scout out the town fer the little un?"
The group spots Molo, looking disheveled and irritable, coming out of the fishmonger plant complex on the main road. The party has reunited.
It is late morning. Unless you have further business in the greasy cobblestone main street, the party continues up the hill to see Wellgar Brinehanded at the Temple of Procan (#26).
Oceanus again offers (in Elvish) to scout the wreck for you; he asks for the details - instructions, directions to it, etc.
Now we are all together, Dain will inform the whole group about the offer of lunch at the Aubreck estate.
"Oceanus," he asks the sea-elf in common, unsure if he's being understood. "Could ye find out if there be two bodies on that wreck? We needs to recover them in order for the temple ta help little Molo here."
In Elvish, Fianna gives Oceanus all the details she can regarding the wreck, it’s location and what she knows about it - both from what they were told and what OctoFin has found there. So they do get land and sea directions and landmarks. Seamarks?
Fianna will play interpreter, letting the others know what she is telling him and why, translating his responses, passing along questions and so on.
Having caught up with Molo now, the point is moot. But Fianna explains to Dain that moving FinFin out of octopus form back into their usual state takes at least an hour plus some components. “I can’t just Willy Nilly change them on the fly... Though I’d have done so if he’d have been missing much longer.”
Dain nods at Fianna's explanation, clearly not understanding a word of it. What is she talkin about? I dunno. But I thinks I gets the gist of it. Not easy and not fast.
"Let's get a move on. If we are talking to his high-priest-ness up at the temple, we need to be fast as we have a lunch appointment."
Dain will press on up the hill towards the temple, leading the others.
"Oh, and Molo," Dain says with a slightly embarrassed look on his face, "Do you think I could trouble you to me share of the gold we got for the raid on the Sea Ghost? Whilst wandering this town I think I've finally thought of a plan." He looks pensive, scratching his long auburn beard with tattooed fingers.
As they walk up the hill, Dain will fall in beside Kelnan. "You're a wizard-type," he begins directly. "I was wondering if you'd be able ta help me. I'm thinking I'd like ta craft meself a magical maul. This old one is fine but it lacks a certain, sometin'. I been thinking that if I'm goin' ta be setting meself up as the best smith in the region, I'd best craft summat which I can show people as an example of me work."
"So, if I was goin' ta craft a magical maul, what special ingredients might I be looking to collect? I dunnae know what powers I would like ta infuse into the weapon yet. Would that make a difference? Can ya help me, elf?"
I will look for the corpses now. Where shall I look for you afterwards?
While Dain knows a thing or two about crafting a good maul, Kelnan knows that crafting even the simplest magical one will require at least two weeks of hard work, and 200gp in materials, as well as ingredients that might be difficult to find. And that assumes that Kelnan can find a recipe for such a thing. (To try, Kelnan should roll Arcana. And if Dain is looking for something specific, he should speak up!)
The party continues up the hill to the Temple of Procan without incident. A young acolyte lets you in.
"C'mon in! C'mon in!" shouts Brinehanded cheerily from a small alcove off the main foyer. You enter to find the large old man in a tub of water in the middle of the floor. His peg leg is off, as is every scrap of other clothing. "Just having my bath!" He seems to be not the least bit uncomfortable with you all crowding in as he bathes himself. "Did you bring in the Sinker, yet?"
Dain seems completely unphased by the fact the man is in the bath. "We've not had a chance yet. In fact, I'm not even quite sure why we are here?" He looks at the others for guidance. "Is there anything we needed to ask?"
In Elvish, Fianna advises Oceanus that if he finds the corpses he could just signal her octopus. “You’ll know them by the fact they’ve a row of green spots encircling their head, and they’ll not be shy of your presence at all. Once they know, I’ll know. We’ll get to the shore there as quickly as possible. Otherwise you could leave word at the inn I stay at..,” and she’ll give him directions. Fianna will then thank him profusely and advise they’d happily return the favor if they could...
Upon being shown in to see Brinehanded, Fianna will do the best she can to hide the rolling of her eyes. “I see the water has grown quite cold,” she comments but doesn’t answer about the Sinker as she has no idea. She thought they were here for lunch, not baths.

Kelnan greets Katernin and Oceanus, similarly surprised to see the elf in town.
"Last time Molo ran off on his own he lost a foot. I suppose we'd best find the little lizard."
"I understand," Katernin responds. "I'm happy to help, but getting the others to cooperorate might be a bit more tricky."
