Shipwrecked in Saltmarsh

     Fianna takes a cautious step or three backwards.  She’s seen a couple members of the party get dropped now and knowing she’s a lightweight compared to them, she decides distance is her friend. She doesn’t go so far back that she loses sight of a target though…Fianna targets the inspectors thing and unleashes her Eldritch Blast. 
(Hex still on the one who ran, which I believe Gianba does not have in visual at the moment, do no bonus to damage…)

Eldritch Blast vs Insectoid Attack: 13 Damage: 9

Kelnan

Roaring as only a gangly elf can, Kelnan fires another Ray of Frost at the visible spider.

Attack: 12 Damage: 5

Attack: 11 Damage: 3

(Rolls didn't show up until I added the second one? Just one attack though.)

Katernin reaches over Dain to shear off a piece of the insectoid's tough hide. It bleeds a yellow ooze.

Fianna steps back beside Kelnan and fires a sizzling purple beam, and just manages to catch the shoulder of her target, leaving another searing wound.

Kelnan narrowly misses with his own beam.

The hairy spider snaps at Katernin's arm from around the corner:
Bite Attack: 9  Piercing damage: 5 (and on hit must make a DC 11 CON save throw, taking 2 poison damage on a fail, or half as much damage on a success.)

Dain and Katernin are up.

Dain stands up with a look of menace in his bright eyes.  He hefts his maul, screams with rage and tries to obliterate the insectoid creature!

Move:  Half movement to stand up from prone
Bous Action:  Go into Rage
Action:  Attack recklessly with power attack: 16 Damage: 30
Note:  Now granting Advantage to all attacks until my next turn.  Damage above includes 1d6+2 for Divine Fury path feature and +10 for GWM feat.

Dain loses his temper and makes a wild swing at the bipedal insectoid, missing badly with an extremely powerful swing.

Katernin may act next.

Katernin also swings at the insectoid again. At the same time she holds her shield up, showing off the symbol of Ehlonna and using it to grant Dain increased Defense.

Attack: 10 Damage: 3

Bonus Action: Cast Shield of Faith on Dain, granting him a +2 to AC

Clacking its mandibles in a frenzy, the insectoid in the doorway attempts to savage Dain again.

Bite Attack: 19 Piercing damage: 7 plus 8 poison damage. (On a hit Dain must succeed on a DC 11 CON save or be poisoned for 1 minute.)

Claws Attack: 18  Slashing damage:6

 Molo may act next.

OOC: Dain takes half damage from the piercing due to rage and half from the poison due to dwarf resilience.  I've updated his character sheet.

Molo squeezes out among the spiders and tries to tackle the insectoid to the ground

He then yells towards Katernin : “Rip the legs off! Bite the heads off!” For a d6 inspiration to attack, ability check, saving throw, AC, or damage

Molo attempts to shove the insectoid to the deck. 
The deceptively strong insectoid resists - STR check: 4
...but it's no match for the wiry kobold. It goes down prone (but is not yet grappled.)

Fianna and Kelnan are up next!

     With the Insectoid prone, Fianna will feel emboldened enough to rush up to within 5 feet of the creature to stand above it and send an Eldritch Blast right down into it’s face…

Eldritch Blast Attack: 22 Damage: 6

Unable to squeeze past Katernin to effectively fight, Fianna fires a blast of purple light onto the foul insectoid from her perch on the stairwell, seriously burning it. But it has a lot of fight left in it yet.

Kelnan may act next. He has a ranged attack at either the insectoid on the ground, or the spider that retreated into the webbing.

Two swarms of tiny spiders appear, boiling up through the cracks and crevices, to join the fray

The huge black-haired spider lunges at the reckless (if magically protected) dwarf. 
Bite Attack vs. Dain: 14  Hit: Piercing damage: 4 and Dain must make a DC 11 CON save, taking 6 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much success.

But the spider is not able to get past Dain's wildly-gyrating maul.

Kelnan and Dain may act next.

Dain growls in annoyance as the spider tries to bite him and attempts to splatter its brains all over the deck of the ship.

Action: Attackng Recklessly with Power Attack: 6 Damage: 28
Note:  Grants Advantage on attacks against him until his next turn.

Kelnan tries to take careful aim and yet another Ray of Frost streaks toward the spider.

Attack: 9 Damage: 2

The armies of tiny spiders - the same species you became all too familiar with upstairs - invade the party. One swarm infests Dain's body; the other, Molo's. They're small, but they bite painfully deeply.

Swarm #1 Bite Attack vs. Dain: 10  Piercing damage: 5

Swarm #2 Bite Attack vs. Molo: 16  Piercing damage: 9

Dain, distracted by his wild attack, finds they have climbed up his trousers. Crit Damage: +11

Katernin may act next (with inspiration, thanks to Molo, should she want it! Does Dain also have it as well?)

Letting its little friends do their work, the bipedal insect disengages and steps backward, near the second, hiding, spider and the trapdoor. 

Katernin (with inspiration) and Molo (covered in tiny, swarming spiders) may act next.

Molo starts slashing at the spiders on himself

Attack: 16 Damage: 7 

Molo slashes wildly at the little biting arachnids with his blade. He dices up a few of them, but finds his dagger an inefficient tool for the job. (Damage resistance: Piercing and Slashing.)

Katernin, Fianna, and Kelnan may act next.

     Fianna has little to do but to try to Eldritch Blast their problems away.  She targets the Giant Spider she can see, as it's likely the only thing she has a clear shot at for the moment...
