The man looks at Kallista with wide eyes. “You... you are their prey.” He cowers away, his lip trembling. He looks at you as though you carry a terrible plague, though you aren’t sure what he means.

"Fascinating," Kallista deadpans. She seriously considers walking away for a moment, but ultimately decides this man's ravings might have some merit to them. "Would you mind telling me what they are? If something is hunting me I would like to know what to look for."
“You have seen one. None have seen the others. You will know when you see them, if you have that luxury anyways.” The man says. He looks away, cowering beneath his hands with his face in his knees. It is clear he wishes to speak to you no more.

"Fine." Kallista shakes her head slightly and hefts up her bag of coins once more. "I'm going to do my banking now. I suggest you do the same." Turning away, she tries to locate a counter or something where she can trade in the coins. She also glances around the area to see if the conversation attracted any attention.
Orimdal nods a greeting to Kallista as she returns and everyone is gathered. "Well, one o' the merchants I saw talks abou' some bandits causin' trouble just outside the city gates. The city leaders no seem ta worry, but seems ta me that helpin' my fellow merchants would be a good thing. An' me merchant contact can get me some tools ta help us maintain our gear if we sort out the bandits too."
"I saw an old man that knew where I was from," Tender volunteers. "He said something about a convergence being at hand? And 'everything will be decided,'" she does her best to imitate the old man. "Fletcher didn't see him. And then he sort of. Vanished?" She tugs out the little phoenix amulet to show everyone. "He left this."
Kallista will return to the others, pockets considerably lighter, and hand Evi's bag back to her.
"Anything particularly pressing come up, or should we go look for those wizards now?"
"Thankfully no." Evi replied after thanking Kallista for the light pouch of gold. "And as far as I'm concerned, the sooner the we leave Koria the better. So I'd rather try and find them right away. Let's see what the others say when we get back to them."
"I met a man in the bank who seemed to know about the serpent we fought. He claimed there are more monsters like it hunting us, though I couldn't get him to tell us what or why," Kallista adds her story once everyone is back together. "So, do you think we should deal with the bandits first or see the wizards?"
"I would prefer ta help the merchants," Orimdal says matter-of-factly, "A brother in coin is somethin' ta look out fer. An' besides, if we help the markets here, they're likely ta help us out some more later on. An' a merchant in yer pocket is good ta have."
"And a merchant in your pocket doesn't help you if you're dead." Evi replied in turn. "I'm not against helping them out. What I am concerned about though is what'll happen to us if we stay in one place for too long. We seem to be attracting more and more enemies simply by existing and we have no idea what'll happen if we linger here." Then pausing, she does add a bit quieter, "Though I guess we don't know what'll happen if we bounce from place to place either..."
"I'm all for helping out the merchants, but I worry what might happen to the wizards if we wait," Tender adds, casting a glance around the group. What if they ended up getting attacked, too? "And even disregarding the danger to us, what if our presence puts the city in danger?" She whispers this last bit, looking worried.
The day is still young, but looking around the marketplace you notice that many people watch you as you linger about. It could be that they don’t take well to loiterers or that they’ve never seen such a ragtag band before. None of their looks seem suspicious or malicious though, simply curious or disgusted, for lack of better words.

Orimdal shakes his head, "Well, I would like ta help the merchants, but ya do have a point. If yer keen ta be on our way, I won't argue with ya. Just a pity ta no get those tools though..." His voice trails off as he scratches at his beard in thought.
"If it seems like we have time, we can look into the bandit issue and get the tools," Kallista offers. Taking a step away from the group, she locates the nearest passerby who doesn't look like a complete jerk and tries to get their attention. "Excuse me. I am looking for the residence of some rather famous wizards. Could you point in that direction?

Goosebumps rising on her arms as she noticed the odd looks in their general direction, Evi commented to the others, "Maybe we should get out of the Port and find a place to lay low and strategize." before seeing Kallista reach out to a random stranger. Realizing that there were gonna be there a little while longer, Evi began to rapidly thinking of every reputable, un-reputable and downright unlivable place in the city she could think of - her mind even flashing momentarily to the hovel she used to call home - ready to lead the group as soon as they're able.
(OOC: actually I am not sure, IS everyone done?)

(OOC - Orimdal had finished and headed back. He also had a task from one of the merchants as well... I'll have to scroll back and find it now haha)
