Tender walks past a merchant with all kinds of crafts, from woven rugs and blankets to clothes and garments as well. He eyes you curiously as you pass by, clearly appalled by your horrid clothing.

Tender briefly considers looking for a different merchant just because of the look on his face, but sighs and turns to approach. "Hello," she calls, waggling her fingers in a wave and pasting on her brightest smile. "As you can see, my friends and I are in need of some new clothes!" She winces a little, at how awkward she sounds. "Do you...Have anything in the local fashion? Er...Something loose, preferably."
He nods, his manner half stunned and puzzled and half glad to have business. He shows you a number of robes, cloaks and the like, all stiles in the traditional colors of Mazyliak. He also shows a number of slightly more upper class garments, like decorated vests and elegant dresses (for lack of a better word). Any set of clothing purchased here would be equivalent in cost to the set’s cost in the PHB plus 5 GP

Evi slowly walked through the various styles of clothing the merchant owned, her hands idly feeling the various fine fabrics she couldn't have dreamed of owning only a day ago. For her entire life up until this point, she was used to wearing whatever clothing she could scrounge up; looking on enviously from afar at citizens her age who could afford more than 1.5 sets of clothing and a single pair of shoes, never mind those with entire closets and rooms devoted to them.
Stopping when she found something that caught her eye, something that felt just a bit like what she could be or perhaps herself in another life, she picked up the items and headed towards the merchant. "I'll take these." she told him as she placed are rather stylish and comfortable long-sleeved black dress, matching leggings and a rather expensive and lightweight pair of slippers. At the last moment, she also grabbed a replacement pair of shoes for what she currently wore, knowing full well how long it had been since she'd replaced them. It was easy to see from anyone looking at her smiling face that the purchase meant more to her than just blending in and replacing sea-monster ruined cloths.
Orimdal looks over the clothes, scrunching his nose up at the finer clothes, and instead decides to remain comfortable. He goes to try and haggle, but thinks better of it after his venture through the markets and purchases a new set of traveller's clothes (-7gp).
Tender wanders the wares as well, mostly looking increasingly overwhelmed at the choices. The fine fabrics and less-fine traveler's clothing, all the cloaks - it is all far more than she is used to. Life in the monastery had been simple and she has, for the most part, worn the same style clothing for most of her life. It's also...Difficult, to give up what remains of her life there, though it is all but ruined from the fight with the sea-monster. She reaches up to wrap her hand around the little phoenix amulet where it sits against her chest, comforted by the connection. She finally finds a fine pair of loose-fitting, wine-colored pants and pairs it with a comfortable but finely-made, dark purple sleeveless vest that reminds her of what the higher-ranked monks wore, and a deep, blood red sash. After a moment's indecision, she also grabs a dark traveler's cloak.
"I think I'll take these," she says, trying not to turn it into a question, though the whole process has thoroughly overwhelmed her. So many choices! She's not at all sure she likes shopping, she decides as she pays for her clothing.
Seeing the section Evi is looking through and trusting her judgement, Kallista also starts browsing the finer clothing. She seems puzzled by the more intricate dresses, running her hands through the heavy skirts and draping sleeves. She picks out a few pieces, going for the most simple, practical, and the closest to what she has currently. Eventually, she ends up with a pair of deep purple pants and a black coat that hangs longer in the back, reaching just past her knees.
Fletcher looks wide eyed at all the fancy clothing. How could anyone wear these? They were liable to get ruined. And cloth shoes? Not much use if you were actually going walking anywhere. Eventually he picks out a simple midnight blue tunic and some linen breeches, however he opts to keep his leather hunting boots. He also sees woollen cloak and hood that may offer some protection from the wind. After paying, he steps back to allow everyone else room to choose.

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
The trip to the tower is short and uneventful. Of course, it gives you about 20 minutes to take in the sights of the town. The lavish guild halls and merchant stalls, mighty taverns, smiths, good shops, town squares, parks and all kinds of other wonders. It also gives you brief insight into the darker part of such a large city. Occasionally you pass by an alley, filled with rotting crates and broken down furniture. Almost always you hear scuffling sounds and see any manner of vermin, but the sheer size of the buildings shrouds the backways in too much shade to make anything out in them.
As you approach the tower, you can see that it is made of a grayish-blue stone, the door from an almost black wood, and the roof tiled with purple shingles. Every so often up the tower, windows can be seen, set in the cylindrical building in four even columns in the cardinal directions: North, East, South and West. Two guards stand at the entrance, and they look at each other when they see you approaching. They have different arms and armor then the other city guards you have seen.

Seeing the situation going rather poorly, Evi stepped forward to assist. As she did so, she quickly tried to gauge by the guards appearance whether bribery or some other means would help "grease the wheels" and get them inside.

Tender, seeing them handling the guards, is going to just look around like the wide-eyed visitor she is, taking in the sights. However, she's especially keeping an eye out for anything out of place or strange-looking around the tower where she can see.
