(OOC - there is the option for a carriage so I've added it into my inventory.)
Orimdal ties his borrowed horse to the carriage. Sitting at reins, he nods to the others, "Shall we return to town? I'm not well travelled steering a carriage such as this, so perhaps we take it slowly while I get the hang of it?"
Tender looks longingly at the carriage before turning determinedly back to her horse. "Look you, we've got a short ride back to town, so how about we just get a long a little better this time, hm?" She asks it, reaching out to let it smell her hand before giving it a pat on the nose. Then she sighs and clambers her way into the saddle, attempting the side-saddle position, and finding it much more suitable and accommodating for her tail. "Alright, then," she says, mostly to herself, and picks up the reins to start back towards the town.
"not much to say really. I really just tended the forge. I have some experience with horseshoes, but when I actually did anything, I usually just beat out daggers for Berdon to finish. when I was in Vinanathi, I learned some special blade crafting techniques for strength and durability. that's about it. I mainly sold them at the market until...until we had to close down shop." He seems to go quiet again.

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
"Ah! A weapon smith," Orimdal slaps his knee, then puts a hand on his chest, "I'm an armour smith meself. Been makin' leathers an' metal armours fer years. What happened to ya stall at the markets?"
Kallista, not wanting to deal with her unruly horse again, manages to tether it to the side of the carriage, allowing it to trot alongside them. She then climbs into the carriage, sitting on Fletcher's other side.
"competition. there was another stall. cheaper goods. terrible quality, but the army post we supplied didn't care. they just wanted to fill their quota. if they could get it done for cheap, they had more for common comforts. we ended up shoeing horses, but there was a farrier as well. we sold less and less each year. until we had nothing. Berdon even sold the forge. I dont know what has become of him. he could be starving right now. or dead already."

"What about your forge?" Kallista asks Orimdal. Based on recent events, she figures she'll be spending more time than anticipated with this group, and she might as well get to know them.
"Ah well, she's a beaut," Orimdal's eyes drift off to the horizon, "Been workin' my shop fer decades. Some o' the finest armour in the west. Had a bit o' an accident with a crystal a little while back an' now just tryin' ta get some answers."
"Honestly, I'm no entirely sure," Orimdal puts a hand to the crystal around his neck, "I struck a piece o' metal only ta have it let out a blast. When I woke up, the forge was like nothin' happened, yet I felt very different."
While the rest of the group prepared themselves for departure back to Splintfork, Evi stared at her horse. I need to conquer this she said inwardly as she steeled herself and approached her mount. Right before she tried to mount it though, she saw Kallista hitch her horse to the carriage, and grateful, whispered "Maybe next time" as she emulated the tiefling and joined the others in the carriage for ride back.
Along the way back nothing happens (feel free to continue interacting with each other, and just let me know when you think it appropriate to arrive back.)

Fletcher smiles back "plenty. still got years to do the rest"

"Sorry ta hear that, young fella," Orimdal hangs his head, "Well, 'haps ya might find this Berdon somewhere. Or get a chance ta start yer own."
fletcher is now staring at the horizon "perhaps" his tone indicates that the conversation is over.`
