"Best be on yer best behaviour," Orimdal says quietly to the others, especially Evi as he steps off the boat. "While we're here in town, I'd love ta acquire some leather workin' tools an' some medium armour. At least with those an' me smith's tools I can look after our gear while we travel."
"Some shopping wouldn't be a bad idea. I have some items in mind as well," Kallista nods her agreement. Out of habit, as they reach the shore she pulls her hood up, casting a slight shadow over her already-masked face. "If they question us in there, we should have our story straight. We're travelers from Vinanathi, delivering a message on behalf of our friend. I don't believe it wise to share what that message is unless absolutely necessary. We don't want to cause undue panic."
"I don't know that it's a good idea to split up for too long," Tender worries, glancing around. "Given our penchant for getting ambushed at the most inconvenient moments." This last bit she mutters quietly, mindful of other listening ears. Hopefully they were considered sea serpent food and no one would feel the need to spy on them for a while.
"Stayin' together'd be better," Orimdal nods, "We don't need ta spend a heap o' time in the markets. Know what ya need, an' get it quickly. Then we can look ta find some information on what's happenin' with these mages an' that." He pats one of the pouches he set aside all the corroded and unidentified coins in, and it jingles a little as he does so, "An' all this coin that's gone bad an' those that we canno' figure their origin. We should do somethin' with them while we're here too."
Jullar stumbles off the boat after you, still clearly a little hungover. “So what’s the situation?” He asks. He scratches his head, tucks in his shirt, and fixes his hair. Surprisingly, with those three little things he looks much better. He catches a glance of Evi. “Wow what happened to you? I don’t remember you looking like that before.”

Evi, a bundle of nerves, fidgeted instinctively at her "disguise" as they stepped off the boat. "Oh... I guess so." she replied to Jullar as she reached for her hair extensions and began twirling them in her fingers. "Just a precaution. I...I used to live her and didn't leave on the best of terms." Then looking to her friends she added a little more confidently, "But it should be alright though as long as I don't cause a scene. And we should stay together. It's easy to get lost here if you don't know your way around."
"Right then," Orimdal says as he checks his belt and pack are sitting comfortably, "Let's get through this port office an' see if we can get our supplies an' then continue on our search." He starts walking confidently towards the office, though looks around at his new surroundings, soaking it all in as he does.
"Just visiting," Kallista chimes in as she approaches to stand slightly behind Orimdal. Gesturing to the group making their way from the boat, she adds, "There are a few of us."
Tender follows, lifting her hand to waggle her fingers in a friendly wave at the guard. She keeps quiet, though, convinced that it would be better to let the others do the talking.
Orimdal nods at Kallista's reply, "Yes, just visitin' as my friend here says. Are there any customs or anythin' specific ta yer city here that we need keep mind o'? I've no travelled here before an' keen ta see the sights, but no get myself in trouble." Orimdal beams a smile at the port officer, "An' if ya can point us ta the markets, that'd be much appreciated too."
“Of course. All you need to do is enter this office here, state your name, occupation, and current place of residence, just for our own record keeping, and then, if no red flags are raised, you’ll b whole to go.” He says with a smile. “The markets are right on the other side of this building. They are the first thing you come across. There are some other marketplaces across the city, but this one here is mostly for imported goods, so if you’re looking for anything, well exotic or rare, this’ll be the place to find it.”

"Thank ya, sir," Orimdal says, clasping a broad hand on the port officer's shoulder. He then turns to the others, "Shall we, my friends." He walks into the office, stops just in the doorway to look around for anything unusual or for anyone watching the group specifically (Perception: 9). Orimdal moves across to the desk to give his details. "Here visitin' an' yer officer told us ta sign in before continuin' inta yer city. Name's Orimdal Axeforged. Armoursmith from Raurauth." He then steps aside for the next person.
Tender mouths 'occupation' to herself, gaze going somewhat distant as she tries to figure out what to say. She does not, technically, have an occupation anymore, and it's unlikely anyone from this place will recognize where she's from. "Uhm," she starts, clearing her throat, her tail curling anxiously around her ankle. "I'm Tender, a traveler from Sand Hollow in Thararaglath. No occupation at present," she pauses and offers a small smile she hopes is disarming enough, "though hopefully there's work to be found!" None of that was technically a lie.
Ormidal doesn’t notice anything unusual. The office has three desks, at each of which is a record keeper (these desks are where you sign in). Each desk has a line of 10 to 12 behind it. Interestingly enough, the man before you has some difficulty signing in. He claims to be Williard Diresong, werewolf hunter extraordinaire. He claims that with the Pink Moon Eclipse approaching, a group of deadly werewolves have fled the forests of Eastern Rauruth for these lands, to be enriched by the Eclipse’s power. If that happens, there’s no telling what might happen. He is allowed in, but a guard must accompany him at all times, since his weapons are not of the usual sort and are considered “extremely detrimental to the good folk of Koria.”
The record keeper takes each of your names, which is read legibly, but after the name is a mass of scribbles that you can’t make out. Ormidal and Tender are let through, and the record keeper calls “Next.”

Kallista goes through a similar moment of panic as they approach the office. If she told them her real 'occupation,' if it could even be called that, she definitely wouldn't be let in, and she hadn't lived in one place consistently for years. While they wait in line, she listens to Williard's conversation with mild interest, glancing over her friends' shoulders to try and spot any of the weapons mentioned.
Perception: 9
"Kallista, from Amberfell in Nofaremata. Also a traveler seeking work," she tells the record keeper once it's her turn, latching on to Tender's strategy.
(If I’m not mistaken, Ormidal is from Western Rauruth. Williard is from Eastern Rauruth, where you all started this journey. You can recall, however, that he is one of the few people who still has silvered weapons)
And it is these mighty silver weapons that Kallista spies on his back. A large silver glaive, about 30 silvered arrows and 30 silver bolts, along with a short bow and a hand crossbow. He also appears to have some silver hunting traps. He truly does seem to know what he is doing.
Those who pass through the office see Williard waiting for his guard escort just outside the markets. He mumbles to himself quietly, clearly not keen that he needs to be babysat. Meanwhile, the mighty marketplace behind him teens with activity. Nearly 60 stalls are set up, with wares exotic and mundane. Potters, weapon smiths, jewelers, weavers, artists, and everything in between have set up today, and all manner of folk trade all manner of goods. It seems like a good area to find what you’re looking for.
