Craben will go towards the desk and begin looking for drawers. First investigating to see if there is any traps or glyphs on it then attempting to open the drawers is he doesn’t find any traps/glyphs.
Craben notices that there are several drawers inside of the desk. After carefully looking them over for any differences, they all seem to be roughly the same. Therefore he opens the desk drawers and pulls out a small file of papers. They seem to be ledgers that go over several deals between merchant groups that come and go from this room. Inside of the ledger, it seems clear to a passively investigating Craben that much of the smuggled goods consist of illegal weapons, poisons, and dangerous flora. In addition, he also notices a single document that seems to differ from the others. It is a message instead of an account of trade! It reads:
Sanuya,
It has come to my attention that our operation may have been discovered. If the princes or the Ytepka learn of our existence, destroy everything. Leave no trace!
--Nahu
Not only that, but based on the scene before him, it seems to a passively investigating Yosben that this room could, and probably once did, hold much more than what is currently in the room. Finally, as Craben draws out the documents he passively perceives a key on a small hook in the back of the drawer, what it could lead to... who knows?
"Look what I found. Plus all these ledgers of whats been coming and going. And this letter. It seems that Sanuya and Nahu are partially running things and are scared of more than the princes. They mention someone named Ytepka. If you don't find anything in the crates and barrels I say let us continue."
Craben will pocket the ledgers, message, and the key. Craben is ready to continue exploring.
You all continue down upon the damp dirt pathway, with the walls carved out of the earth many years ago. The path dips downward and travels along a curve. The walls here are a bit smoother and decorated with patterns of wavy lines carved into its surface. As Gwen passively looks out with her keen dwarvish darkvision she notices that several of the lines seem to meet up in a circular pattern of some kind in the center of the hallway (right in front of her). The carvings in the center (right in front of her) appear to be a bit deeper than the rest.
"Hmm... Curious..." Gwen says, keeling down to inspect the patterns, "Craben? Yosben? Could these mean something or are they just decorative? Some of them appear deeper, newer than the others."
As Gwen leads the way forward, she does not notice that there is a thin wire set into the hallway, which suddenly (with a snap) breaks as the broken line rushes off towards the wall. This causes a bell to ring and immediately a fusillade of bolts fire into the passageway injecting all of you with a virulent substance that makes your bodies shake. However, Craben manages to fight off the vile poison, and Gwen is as used to such toxins as the forest, but small Craben is unable to resist the effects as the poison floods his system and he takes 5 poison damage from the spasms. As everyone gathers to get a better look at the hallway before them, Craben passively perceives that there are similar wires set into the hall on all sides... what shall you all do?
"I'm glad you're okay Yosben. If you see there are similar wires in the halls on all sides of us. Let's see if we can disable them somehow."
Craben is going to examine the trap they already set off in order to understand how it was triggered and then see if he can make the connection of how to safely disable it.
As Craben looks at both sides the best guess that he has is that if one of the many small strings is broken it will trigger the trap... He isn't sure of too much else though. However, as Gwen moves forwards she does not notice one of them near her left foot, and as she moves forwards another snap as once again the darts fly towards our heroes! Once again both Craben and Gwen manage to fight off the terrible poison, but Yosben still suffers from it. Although it appears to be slightly less potent, he still takes 1 poison damage.
"Gwen be careful. I don't really know how these traps work besides its string released but we do need to be careful. I don't think Yosben can take too much more poison. Maybe we can travel back towards before these traps begin and attempt to trigger them from a distance with a bow and arrow or maybe a long pole or something? "
"Sorry, sorry. That would work better than me just walking through them all." She chuckles, "I could try and shoot them." Gwen says, pulling out her crossbow.

"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."
As both Craben and Gwen round the corner, Yosben approaches and tentatively tries to tenderly tiptoe his way through the string trap, but he misses one string to his right and with a snap the poisonous darts fly through the air sending Yosben unconscious in a fit of spasms. Then as Craben rushes forwards to heal him Yosben sets off... only to trigger the trap again! The bolts repeat their flight and Yosben is once again sent into a seizure-like state, but he manages to hold his grip on consciousness, causing for Gwen to create several small berries and hand several of them to Yosben which he promptly eats. At which point Gwen and Yosben head back and Craben enters the stringed pathway...
Craben, praying to Deneir first, starts to slowly make his way through the wires. He actually finds it quite easy as long as you pay attention. He doesn’t understand why Yosben had so much trouble. Maybe it’s because most of the wires comes to Yosben waists which is only part way up Crabens shin.

Yosben wants to look inside the crates and barrels.
Gwen moves to the enterance of the chamber and peeks around the corner, "Let me know when you're done, I'll keep a lookout."

After inspecting the barrels and crates, he announces, "There's nothing, let's go."
"All right, follow me." Gwen proceeds to follow the southward passage, deeper into the hideout.

"They don't seem to be any kind of wards or anything. Would water or maybe some animal make these marks?"
Craben will ask Gwen, trusting her to know more about nature than him.

"I... I-I'm okay. What now?" Yosben says shakily, for he was very unprepared for the trap.
