The masonry walls of this twenty-foot hall are in poor repair. The far end has collapsed, filling the southern section with rubble. The western wall is in much better shape that the other walls, and it holds a stone door with a rearing dragon carved in relief on it. The door has a single keyhole, situated in the rearing dragon’s open mouth.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Let's not get caught with by a trap. Let's take our time with this room and check it over very well." Emrys will begin a methodical search of the walls, taking his time to look for discolored bricks, crack, etc.
The head has enough detail that it could be mistaken for a real dragon head. The door inside it suspiciously has las ware than the rest of the citadel.
"I wonder why this is in so much better condition than anything else we've seen in here so far?" Wakka asks aloud to himself. Though not immediately noticing anything dangerous with the door, he'll play it safe and taking a step back, use mage hand and attempt to see if the door is locked. (Mage Hand is my free cantrip as a high elf)
"Assuming it can be broken down..." Cade comments as he looks at the door in turn. As long as the rat doesn't seem to be going to attack, Cade will just leave it be. "We may have to find a key for that lock if no one can pick it or we can't break it down." He notes, seeing the lock on the door. Are there any other doors or ways forward here, or do we go back the way we came if we can't get through this door?
I don't like it. Seems to be begging to be opened. Perhaps it leads to treasure or danger or both. Danger feels more likely. I say we investigate a bit more of the citadel for clues.
Perhaps among this rubble.
Emrys will advance om the rat, bsut give it plenty of opportunities to escape.
"We could check the other rooms first and see if there's anything valuable in there; maybe find a key while we're at it." Wakka replies as he begins to head back towards the junction point they passed earlier.
"Just as well check the ruble while we are here..." Cade says, nodding to where their companion is already advancing on the rat's area. Cade moves in to support, also giving the rat a chance to either run away or hide.
Cade moves over to pull the spear from the wall, and then to check the goblins for anything of interest.
The goblin slumps down when you remove the spear revealing Draconic runes.
If anyone can read Draconic this is what it says
Ashardalon
The bodies have nothing of interest.
“Well, while this place is just... enchanting, let’s keep moving” Sylfyr says grabbing one of the door handles to open.

I hope that is not bad

As you look around, you see another giant rat hiding in the rubble, it is hostile, but doesn’t look like it wants to attack.
"Well that's an interesting door" Wakka says as notices the intricately carved dragon door and walks over it to get a closer look.

The door is locked.
"The dragon door is locked. I'd hate to break it down seeing how nice it is but it might be our only option."

The rat scuttles away as you dig through the rubble.
(Need any rolls for that? Do we find anything?)
Can we determine the origins of the rubble.

Yeah I think you would need a roll for that but I forgot to mention.
You would need to make a investigation check (for both of you)
