Si sees the one monk get crushed by falling furniture and casts an amazed glance in Jedavii and Talvian's direction. It must be the hand of Tyr interceding, it can hardly be anything else, Si thinks to himself.
Charging straight for Monk 3, Si swings his war hammer from below attempting to deliver a crushing uppercut to the man's chin: ... To Hit: 13 Damage: 5
Talvian gives a shrug when Si glances at him after the monk's sudden death by bookcase then raises his cross, takes aim at Monk 1, and fires off another bolt.
Si looks around and nods grimly. "Aye. Me too. I can't call upon the will of Tyr to even heal us, and I'm on my last leg. Perhaps we should retreat and gather our wits. There are many mysteries here and we should return once we've rested and investigated more."
The dwarf looks around and tries to determine the best way out. "Perhaps we can quietly retrace our steps"
"Agreed," Talvian nods still sore from the beating he took. "I think retracing our steps is the best idea. On a good note I have some plans that could help us, just need to gather some supplies back at town."
Si points and says, "Because we just passed a room with the exit, we can leave this way" He heads out of the structure and looks to make sure all is clear.
(Jedavii was looking around the room they were in real quick for anything of interest, specifically the tomes or parchment)
Writing desks stand beneath the windows of this large work room. Dusty tomes, stacks of parchment, and pots of ink clutter each dest, another door leads out of this room, on the same wall as he door you went through, four monks also work in this room, when they see you, they attack. Roll initiative>
Jedavii find a scroll for the spell dust devil (it is a unique spell for this campaign if you don't have it then I'll tell you what it does)and a scroll Jedavii can't read. And one book is put aside from the others, glass case, simply labeled Marlos's Testament.
"Let's all back to town and discuss our plans there. Perhaps first, if we get far enough away from here, we can take a short rest and bind some of our wounds."
If there appears to be no one around Si heads up the path out of the canyon, staying wary of any patrols.
Monk 4 backs into a bookcase in the room, it falls over crushing the monk.
Simloki's turn.

Si the Demander - Hill Dwarf, Cleric - The Princes of the Apocalypse

(( Oh OK. Can that attack be on the one nearest Si? ))
Rhodes - Half-elf, Warlock - The Lost Dungeon of Rickness
Si the Demander - Hill Dwarf, Cleric - The Princes of the Apocalypse
That would be monk 1. It missed.
Monk 1's turn.

Attack: 5 Damage: 7
Talvian gives a shrug when Si glances at him after the monk's sudden death by bookcase then raises his cross, takes aim at Monk 1, and fires off another bolt.

Monk 1 dies.
Monk 2 attacks Jedavii.

Jedavii groans a bit as the strikes keep hitting, and retaliates with another blow of his own.
Attack: 9 Damage: 8 bludgeoning + 1 thunder from booming blade
You kill the final monk. Everyone gets 133 EXP.
Jedavii drops to one knee, panting for a bit.
"Don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty much spent."
He then sets his eyes on the various papers and books in the room, hoping they might find some piece of information that's valuable.
Si looks around and nods grimly. "Aye. Me too. I can't call upon the will of Tyr to even heal us, and I'm on my last leg. Perhaps we should retreat and gather our wits. There are many mysteries here and we should return once we've rested and investigated more."

Si starts to quietly work back towards a point where they can safely exit, avoiding the room with the statues.
Rhodes - Half-elf, Warlock - The Lost Dungeon of Rickness
Si the Demander - Hill Dwarf, Cleric - The Princes of the Apocalypse
Beacuse you just passed a room with the exit, you can leave that way.

Jedavii takes them all and follows Si and Talvian out.
(I believe I have it)
You have it.
