You approach a butcher shop where the constable works, there is normally not enough crime in Red Larch to fund a full time force. A back shed preforms as the local jail. THere is no one guarding it because they are all working, but the BoW does't look like they've tried to escape.
Jhazaal glances over then approaches the shop owner. "Have you noticed anything amiss around here of late?" He asks. "Or anything about that deligation that passed through a while back?"
“I don’t know about me” he says, with a tired look on his face, “but Thorsk Thelorn has be talking about some strange new customers. He runs a wagon repair shop, if you want to know more, ask him”
Jedavii peeks his head in. "Hello again!" he says to the BoW.
"Had a few questions for you guys; thought you could help us out a bit. I can't promise that you'll get out if you answer me, but..." he shrugs. "I mean, it'll suck for both of us if you're uncooperative. Just sayin'."
Persuasion (or intimidation, same modifier): 14
He places his hammer and greatsword leaning against the wall nearby, his upbeat attitude almost disarming.
"Okaaaayyyy, let's see here... can you tell us what these symbols mean?" he holds a piece of paper out with the two symbols that they saw.
"I'd also like it if you could tell us what the spire is. And also, what your goal is - haphazard seismic disturbances don't exactly carry any sort of message across that well. Bringers of Woe, I get it, but what kind of Woe are we talking about here?"
One of the alive members growls "We were paid, we were told to kill anyone who found the place in the sinkhole. I don't know what the spire is, and I've never seen that symbol in my life. The one on our armor was supplied to us buy the people who paid us."
Talvian brings the supplies he needs up to the counter, pays for them, and with a small bow says to the owner, "Thank you very much for your accidents."
Talvian then follows Jhazaal to the wagon shop. As they walk Talvian pulls out two copper coins, one of the new paintbrushes he just purchased, and uses Magical Tinkering to enchant the coins to each hold one of the two symbols the group as come across. Satisfied with his work Talvian puts the two coins into a separate pocket from the rest of his coins.
You walk to three large sheds all in a triangle, with wagons and people working on them. Two human men, one big and burley, and one more slender, are inspecting wagons and giving orders.
Talvian enters Gaelkur's, "Good day to you, I am hoping to acquire some painting supplies if you have any."

He points at an area with ink, paper, parchment, and ink pens. "Right over there"

"Will do, thanks." Jhazaal says with a nod. Once done here he will lead the way to the wagon shop.

"And who paid you?"
"They were these people in robes, and masks made to look like gargoyle faces"
You cannot see him making any weird faces or movements.
"How did they approach you? Where did they come from?" Si asks in a stern fashion.

"We were robbing the sacred stone monastery, but instead of punishing us, they hired us. It was strange, they didn't behave like monks."

((Standard 10 gp for the painter's supplies?))
"Ooh, Sacred Stone Monastery. Sounds important." Jedavii nods. "How does one get there?"
(Yes 10 GP for the supplies is correct.)
The BoW responds "West of summit hall,"

Should I just assume your going to Thorsk's shop?
Yes, Jhazaal is headed to the wagon maker's place.
You walk to three large sheds all in a triangle, with wagons and people working on them. Two human men, one big and burley, and one more slender, are inspecting wagons and giving orders.
As they get closer Talvian waves his hand and calls out, "Hail friends, we heard you have been busy but would you mind if we ask you a few questions?"
