"Don't worry about the gag keep it on him. Tagret you tell me what to ask him and I'll mentally do it. It's an ability, something I picked up in life. I'll let you know if you need too, encourage him."
She grins evilly at Glass Staff and says telepathically "First things first what is your name?"
"I would rather we keep him gagged if Rashana can communicate with him no verbally, that way we do not have to be weary of him casting," Saravena remarks as she begins poking around the room looking for anything that might be of interest while pointing Misha at other areas to check.
"Glasstaff," Glasstaff replies mentally to Rashana.
Saravena begins to search around the place carefully. She finds a sturdy wooden chest that has been conveniently left unlocked. Inside she finds the following; 180 silver pieces, 130 gold pieces, a silk pouch containing five carnelians, two peridots and one pearl. Furthermore, the chest contains two magic scrolls one labelled scroll of charm person and the other a scroll of fireball.

For the others benefit she says out loud but keeps the link going "Glassstaff? Sounds more of a nickname, but have it your way. You can tell us where Gundrens map is please. Or the nothic can get it out of you. You can respond to me in your mind of course"
She nods to Tagret
Misha says while sparking his fingers "Maybe electric shock?"
"Ooh found some good stuff," Saravena happily remarks storing the coins into the bag of gems then holding it and the two scrolls up for the rest of the party to see. "Got some coin, some gems and two spell scrolls. If shocking or chopping fingers don't work one of these seems to be a large fire spell plus I still have oil left to make it burn longer and hotter."
Saravena also finds a letter signed with the iconography of a black spider sitting on Glasstaff's table.
Lord Albrek,
My spies in Neverwinter tell me that strangers are due to arrive in Phandalin. They could be working for the dwarves. Capture them if you can, kill them if you must, but don’t allow them to upset our plans. See that any dwarven maps in their possession are delivered to me with haste. I’m counting on you, Iarno. Don’t disappoint me.

"Albrek...Iarno," Saravena says to herself in a voice just barely above a whisper trying to remember where she heard that name before, but when Rashana mentions Sildar it clicks. Saravena rushes over to Glasstaff getting her face uncomfortably close to his staring directly into his eyes and asks, "What is your name, not your title but your name?"
Glasstaff sighs before thinking, "My real name is Iarno Albrek. Glasstaff is the name I adopted."
Misha opens the other door and finds that it is unlocked and opens to a room. He sees that this room appears to be a wizard’s workshop. A rat scurries across the floor and takes refuge under a large worktable set up with alembics, retorts, distillation coils, and other alchemical devices, all of it stewing and bubbling away. Bookshelves are crowded with sheaves of parchment and strange-looking tomes.
Saravena takes a step back momentarily shock at this confession, then shakes her head slowly before giving Albrek a disappointed look.
"Sildar was worried about you," she chastises him. "The lost member of the Lord's Alliance, thought to be captured or even killed, but was neither instead he just turn to a common bandit." Saravena holds up the letter, "Not even in charge, you take orders from someone higher than you. Oh how the mighty have fallen."
Saravena turns away from Albrek shaking her head once more, "I am not sure if Sildar will be happy we found your or sad about how we found you, we will find out soon." Saravena turns to the rest of the party, "Lets get this man to Sildar, I am sure he will have more questions for him."
"Fallen? I took orders from the Lord's Alliance and made very little for myself," Iarno replies. "I'm in charge of the Redbrands. Those good gentlemen came together because of me. The Black Spider has promised me the secrets and wealth of the Forge of Spells. As long as I am loyal to him, I will receive great reward. More than I would ever obtain from the Lord's Alliance. Sure some unpleasant little business has occurred as a result. But it's a small price to pay."

Saravena chuckles at Iarno's reply, "The Black Spider promised you the world it would seem yet here you are bound and gaged soon to be jailed, the men you lead either dead or encaged in cells of their own, King Grol the goblin that aligned with The Black Spider lies dead in his throne room. If I was to guess this Forge of Spells is what lies within the Wave Echo Cave, so you need not worry that too will leave the Black Spider's grasp soon enough."
With all that said Saravena walks over and flicks Iarno on the nose before turning to Rashana, "You can end what ever connection you have I think we are done talking for now. Sildar can question him more if need be."
After that Saravena follows after Misha into the other room. "Did you find any..." she begins to say only to stop when her eyes fall on the alchemical set up, her eyes go wide, a large smile forms on her face. "Oh thank you so much Iarno I will make good use of all of this," she calls back overjoyed at the sight before her as she heads straight towards the bubbling brew trying to decipher what Iarno was making.
Saravena your knowledge and experience of the arcane means that your are familiar with a variety of different potions. You recognise that Iarno has been trying to brew a potion of invisibility. However, it seems that he has not quite figured out the means of doing so.

Examining the the brew Saravena scrunches her face in disappointment. "I think..." she drips the point of her pinky finger into the brew, tastes it, then spits it out commenting. "Yep, he was trying to brew an invisibility potion, badly I might add. His measurements are all off, I would dump this and start over from scratch."

"Ask yourself if or when they send you to the executioner's block. Was it worth it?"
While keeping an eye on him. She wonders if there was a reward for finding him.
Misha looks at the alchemist kit with admiration he feels there is something missing in their search
"Has anyone seen the mans, spell book? It could be quite valuable."
