Waiting for the conversation to conclude and the group to make their way out of the shop, Tagret does pause to add a small warning "Just be careful approaching the cave, there are a couple of traps on the path, and may be one or two goblins around that may have been away when we arrived"
As soon as they are outside Tagret suggests "Sildar may be able to help us with any decisions on what comes next, let's take the coin, get a meal and a bed and see what the evening will bring"

Linene examines the jade statuette of a frog with tiny golden orbs for eyes, "Hmmm, if are you willing to part with that, I can give you forty gold pieces for it. How does that sound?"

You all head down to the Stonehill Inn. It's a quiet at this time of night, but the proprietor let's you in and charges you the usual fee of five silver pieces. After that you retire to your rooms for the rest of the night.
In the morning, you awake to sun beams shining in through the windows to your rooms. Wanting to speak to Sildar again, you ask the proprietor to his whereabouts.
"Aye, the man you describe did stay here last night. As I understand it though, he has gone over to the townmaster's hall. Something about Lord's Alliance business. I didn't learn much after that, I'm afraid. Though if you are looking for the townmaster's hall, you'll find it just across the square. Head towards Lionshield Coster, go past it, then turn left. You'll recognise it by the notice board standing out front."

As you make your way through Phanadlin in an attempt to find the townmaster's hall, you see a group of men carrying a shortsword standing in the square. They look over as you pass by, but otherwise ignore you. You continue on across the square heading towards Lionshield Coster, there you happen see Linene talking to a young man just outside the door. Then she passes over a piece of parchment, before turns around to leave.
Just after that you make the left turn and come across a building with sturdy stone walls, a pitched wooden roof, and a bell tower at the back. Posted on a board next to the front door is a notice written in Common. It reads: “REWARD—Orcs near Wyvern Tor! Those of a mind to face the orc menace should inquire within.” The notice bears the town’s seal and an indecipherable signature.

"Depending on the circumstance could be something to look into," Saravena offers. "We can ask about it, if its something manageable, and not out of our way, then maybe we can earn some extra coin."
You push the door of the townmaster's hall open and you find Sildar standing inside. Opposite, across from a desk, an older man with a large belly.
"You're just trying to take over the town," snaps the unknown man, whom you can presume is the townmaster. "You just think that because you're part of the Lord's Alliance you can come here to Phandalin and take over."
"I'm telling you, I'm not here to take over. How many times do I have to repeat myself?" Sildar sounds exasperated. "I'm here to help you bring prosperity to the land. Then there will be law and order brought to this town, and your people will be able to live peacfully. Instead of constantly being harassed by those hooligans."
"The Redbrand Ruffians are not hooligans. They are just a mercenary guild, and not all that much trouble, really. They just have a colourful name and a colourful personality."
"They are not a mercenary guild. They have taken over the town. They bully the town's people, and extort money from the town."
"Nonesense they provide a valuable servive and they are paid for their service. Even if it's a bit high."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Leaving the polite conversation to Damian and the others, Tagret steps back into the open doorway so that he can both listen to Sildar and watch the goings on in the town, instantly suspicious of a mercenary guild presence. Tagret attempts to make sense of anything that might appear unusual
Perception13 (OOC: once again proving that urban environments are definitely now his thing)
"Saravena Kirivalus, a pleasure to meet you," Saravena says with a small bow. "We do apologize for interrupting your discussion. We were hoping to speak with mister Sildar about an important matter, but if there is any accidents that you need townmaster we may be willing to help. Although if I may inquire, if you have a mercenary party present within this town why have you not sent them to deal with the orcs? Is that not what mercenaries are used for?"
