"Well," the goblin begins. "I can't go back to the castle, King Grol will be suspicious with me being the only survivor. He will know that you spared me. He will decide that I betrayed him for my own neck, which he won't take kindly to.

Going back there will surely mean death for me. So I will have to go elsewhere. Possibly find work somewhere else. Maybe far up north to Luskan."

"Well for me dead goblins tell no tales but tell you what....if you can tell us about the castle, the layout, where the guards are, any traps, or secret entrances that you might know of....you give us something of value and not only will you live past today, but you will have some coin to go with it".  With that Target pulls a couple of shiny gold pieces out and starts turning them in his palm.

“If you want to work I can hire you. It’s legit I promise!” Damian grins as he looks the goblin up and down.

"You want me to work for?" asks the goblin almost incredulously. "If it means me keeping my head and safe from this mad man, who clearly wants me dead. Then sure I will work for you."

(DM Note: Looks like Damian is going to get a sidekick for the group.)

Damian laughs heartily “Great here!” Damian will toss him a gold coin. “You’ll be my apprentice, I may be an adventure but my main profession is a black smith!”  As Damian tosses the coin at the goblin would like to insight his reaction.

OOC: [ I do have Tasha’s and they talk about having sidekicks. Give me a day or two and I’ll read it.] 

Rashana chimes in the conversation. "Are you sure we can trust him? It tried to kill us a minute ago." 

The gold coin, flipped by Damian, flies through the air before hitting the goblin square in the forehead. It then lands on the floor by the goblin before it begins to roll away. The goblin, still bound, watches the coin roll before it finally topples over.

"Hey!" the goblin complains. "Do you have to taunt me like that?"

“Payment in advance, now what’s your name?” Damian will pick up the coin and hand it to the Goblin personally.

The goblin raises an eyebrow at Damian as he is handed the coin. He then bends forward and twists to indicate that he is still bound and cannot take the coin of Damian.

"Yeah, how about you help me out here before I take that coin?" the goblin asks.

"Here let me take care of that," Saravena says with a light chuckle after watching the whole exchange before untying the goblin then her voice becomes more serious as she says, "Now if you betray us know that I will shoot you without a second thought."

Tagret backs off and lets Saravena and Damian take the lead with their new 'friend', idly adding to Damian "He'll need to prove himself by giving us everything he knows about Cragmaw Castle and its so called 'king'"

"Well, what else can I tell you?" asks the goblin as he rubs his wrists after being bound with rope. "And believe me I told intend on betraying you, at least as long as you keep paying me."

“The coin isn’t a issues. So what’s your name friend.” Damian will offer his hand to help him up. 

Rashana stands aside watching the whole exchange. She scratches the back of her neck and mutters to herself. "I know. I don’t feel good about that too. I will keep an eye on him for now."

"I understand stand how you all feel but sometimes a helping hand can change lives." Damain will show that he 100%  want to help the goblin. 

"I agree with Damain," Saravena nods. "And having an extra body around to test alchemical mixtures is always good to have."

"The name is Bitenose," the goblin says offering an empty hand to Damian. "What are your names?"

“Names Damian Strongshield but you can call me Boss!” Damian will take his giving it a firm handshake.

"Saravena Kirivalus," Saravena says with a light bow. "Pleasure to meet you."

Rashana smiles and nods. "Rashana." Then she turns to the group. "So we push on?"
