Sivir curses under his breath as he misses again, "Perhaps I was not so good with close combat before...?" He backs away his full movement, then pulls out his light crossbow, briefly inspecting it before loading and firing at his previous attacker.
Crossbow Attack: 17 Damage: 6
He then focuses a moment and thinks upon Deneir and quietly says "The ink pot overflows" casting healing word on himself (healing 5).
Taking a step back I try to asses which of the remaining creatures looks the worst off and feeling the anger bubble up in me from the pain in my arm I add power to my words with Viscious Mockery Wis 13 or 3 Damage.
”Hey, hey, you! Yes you! You’re so ugly that when you take a bath the water jumps out. You’ve got a face only a mother could love, but I bet she’s ugly too right? She’s probably so ugly that if pigs could fly she’d have wings!”

These unlikely companions definitely seemed to have the upper hand now, with only a small number of creatures remaining. As Tulip lashes out with her wit, Elrodin steps into melee with the other creature, bringing his saber upwards in an agile sweeping arc.
Elrodin's nostrils burn with the acrid smell of the black tar igniting, as he once again steps through the slumping corpse of another very dead undead creature. He twirls around to face the remaining thing, pointing his flaming saber towards it.
Mama chan, your fireboat nearly kills it, but doesn't quite do the job. he leers at you and starts to advance. luckily, and iron bar sweeps in out of nowhere and knocks him 30 feet away. he hits a tree at the edge of the clearing with a sickening crunch.
Well done! you have finished your first combat!

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
I peer around at the carnage and shake my head. Putting my daggers away I walk up to the crumpled corpse that sliced my arm and stamp on its nuts. Twisting my heel with a satisfied grin.
”Three of them ran away we don’t have long.” I share with the group as I wonder over to take a look at the wagon. (What was pulling it? What do I see?).
they crunch and you feel liberated. the wagon, to your disgust, is filled with bodies. they were moving before you started fighting, but now they are still and pale. they are covered in the same black welts you saw on the Undead, but these are bubbling and popping. the black tar is leaking from them.
“I’ve got no objections to burning the bastards but beheading them all might take more time than we have.” I glance off in the direction that the three masked men had fled.
I step aside to a patch of earth not covered in gore and wait to see what the others will do.

Sheathing his flaming sword into the specifically-made scabbard at his hip, to contain the hemocraft for a short time, Elrodin breathes deep and looks around once more.
Perception: 7(ooc: do we see any other lights / indication of a village, and whether these guys came from that direction?)
"We should certainly burn all of this evil" he says with disgust, kneeling at the still-smoking remains of the "leader" of the group, covering his mouth with his arm. Removing a wooden stake from a sheath attached to his thick leather boots, the High Elf begins to search the body, touching it only with the stake when needed.
Investigation: 22(ooc: Blood Hunter advantage on Intelligence checks for undead, to see if I can recall any useful info)

there are no lights indicating any villages.
you search the leader and the first thing you notice, is that underneath his fancy robes, is a patched farmers tunic. tucked into a pocket is a small pouch of gold (5gp), a dagger, and a blank page. the blank page is oiled like a map, and when you unfurl it, it suddenly comes to life. it seems to be a map of your area, centred around the maps position, you see a forest, which you are at the edge of, a few small villages: thornburrow, farthenfields, and Gullykin. they are spread out, but the closest is Gullykin, which is further into the forest. it looks like a normal map, apart from two things. in the right hand corner, a massive area of what looks like black mist is advancing upon the area. if you study it closely, it seems to be moving, albeit slowly. the second thing, is that all the Villages have a time stamp above them, counting down the days/hours until the mist will reach it. Gullykin has a black cross over it, and the word Next printed beside it. it seems to be in the direction your players were travelling. as you finish up, a small ball of light rises from his body, and splits up. it hits all of your chests and you immediately feel better. Mama chan, with your detect magic, you recognize this as healing magic. every one regains 5 HP

Elrodin, feeling rejuvenated once more, motions for the others to come closer, and shows them the map.
"Any ideas...?" the High Elf asks, to no one in particular.
(ooc: the black mist is in the top-right of the map, with Gullykin the closest, and the other villages are further into the map? Do we have the hours/days numbers for each? Or at least Gullykin :P And the guys we just stomped were heading in that direction?)

your attack takes him in the eye and his brittle skull explodes. the remaining two look defeated, but still attack.

"Someone... finish it!"
Hearing the Elf's plea Mama Chan flicks her wrist at the lone opponent and send a bolt of flame 🔥 its way. "Die you miserable bastard!"
Fire Bolt Attack: 22 Damage: 2
With a sort of absentminded sweep of his weapon, Kronk tries to fell the last 'thing' with an irritated grunt.
Attack: 13 Damage: 12

actually, now they are dead, the welts start to bubble, and they start to decay, in front of your very eyes.
