That doesn't seem right to me, does that seem right to..." At that moment, Reghys sees the cup come flying towards them. The satyr quickly ducks out of the way, afraid to get their nice new cream overcoat dirty. As the cup spills all over T'cahl'forncak'znciciker's contract however, the satyr can't help but feel bad. Although they will never understand the tiefling's obsession with written agreements, the satyr understand that they were important to the tiefling, and that a lot of time and energy went into drafting these up. Seeing that work ruined like that must not be a great start to the day.
Trying to cheer the tiefling up, Reghys says: "T, maybe that's why you should stick with handshake agreements, wine doesn't wash away the fine print on those."

She’d feel for the letters but would let go of Hawke’s grip when he does hers. Blind buddies? Ebele’s head would tilt and she’d put her finger to her nose as if to put a pin in that to ‘look into’ later. She’d then move her hand back to her side. “Likewise, Hawke.”

This seedy wooden building serves as Red Larch’s used tools and goods shop, its barber, and an unofficial second tavern for locals. Inside is a cluttered shop full of lounging customers — most of them men in no particular hurry to be waited on — with old hair clippings trodden underfoot on the sagging board floor. Marlandro Gaelkur is the shopkeeper and barber.

Hawke understood T'chal's preference for fine print rather than a handshake agreement (assuming that's just what it was). While his memory of geography and maps was his strong suit, memory of conversations tended to fade to the back of his mind, unless they were important, which making a deal was. Ah well, maybe next time, he tells himself.
When he hears Ebele questioning tone about berries, the druid takes a moment to feel around his pouches prior to unhooking one and opening it, plucking out a berry. "Goodberries, or as I like to call 'em, Hawke's Berry Mix."He plops the one in his mouth to show the others they were safe to eat. "One of these guys gives you enough nourishment for a day, heals you too, but not for a lot. Not the best compared to a full meal or a nice healing spell, but in a pinch, they're the best. Saved my ass a coupla times, that's for sure."He gives a light hearted chuckle. "Let me know if you wanna try one, or have a few. I got plenty!"The offer is also extended to anyone else in the party who was paying attention to his explanation.
As they look for places to purchase a few horses, Hawke stays at the left of the group, wanting to keep an eye on everyone, just in case. Otherwise, he remains quiet unless spoken to.

"Please!" Ebele's hand was already out, ready to accept the berry. Wheels were already turning in her mind wondering, pondering if there could be any posibilities. A soft smirk would tug at her lips. And perhaps a few of her companions might be able to guess why. Should Hawke entertain her with one of his berries for breakfast, she'd nibble, bite, then chew, savouring the flavours in silence to herself as Kerric picked up the conversation. She was more than happy to listen in as she completed her berry inspection.
Hawke smiles wide at Ebele’s eagerness, unaware of any plans she had in store had the berries been suffice. He gratefully hands over one of them, pauses... then shrugs and gives her two more. “Don’t eat ‘em all in one go.” He advises. “It’ll give you a tummy ache.” He chuckles and waits to see if anyone else wants prior to putting away his pouch.
The Druid does indeed stay outside. T’chal seemed like the type to not need much help when it came to negotiating (not that he would be of much assistance), and he was certain that he would be called when talk of horses came about. He fiddled with one of the beads on his belt as they wait, only stopping when Kerric asked about his name. “Ah, well, uh... Sorta?”He leans against the wall, his hand going to the bead again. “In my tribe, we’re not immediately given names at birth. We earn it as we grow. I’ve always been... good with my eyes before...” He gestures over to his right eye. “Anyway, they always said ‘eyes like a hawk that boy has.’ Ended up solidifyin’ it with my first shape bein’ a hawk.” The memory brings an upturn at the corner of his lip. After a moment he clears his throat and looks to the elf. “Uh... What about you, then? Kerric Brightblade. Powerful name. That have a deeper meanin’ to it?”
