Ebele couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle, smiling as well. “And they’d have fun doing it.” She’d turn her head towards the elf’s voice. “Thank you.” She’d nod, appreciating his encouragement. “But I think I’d like to help set up camp, if I could be of help.” Her smile was a bit more sheepish now. “I’d like to make up some training this evening too.” She’d add softly.
”Thank you,” says Kerric, nodding in her direction. “Once camp is set up, I can share with you my weapon training, if once it gets dark you can help me learn how to fight in poor lighting conditions.”

Ebele would nod affirmatively. “I’d like that.” After a pause, “Shall we?” She’d smile, making a gesture for Kerric to lead the way on setting up camp. She’d follow along to learn, familiarizing herself with the sounds and memorizing the patterns she could find that’d give her clues to what he was preparing and how to do it.

T'chal'fronack'zcinicker looks at the camp, and Kerric and Ebele setting up, and decides a walk might be nice. He heads up the hill, well after the others and their race. He glances around, taking in the view, then looks down at the ground. "Who died?"
He looks at the scuffed up ground curiously and examines it for tracks to see if he can get an idea of what happened. 4
As he's poking around at the ground, to Hawke he'd say, "You from around here? What that's tower over there?"

After he and Ebele set up camp, Kerric gets out two of his training staves and suggests, "Let's start with staff combat, if you like. We can use these to simulate spear or sword combat as well, and their padding should keep us from taking any serious wounds. As the light wanes, you can help me learn to fight with less reliance on my vision, though I can usually see well enough even in dim light."
T'chal'fronack'zcinicker shrugs, "Well....someone's got to do it." He carefully takes off his jacket, folding it nicely and placing it on some grass. Then removes his vest, placing it on his jacket. Then he undoes his tie, and removes his nice white button up shirt. Standing now bare chested and looking rather scrawny, he begins digging up one of the graves. "Some nere'do well's have been killin folk, it's best we find out who died. The druid gives a small glance over to the gnome he has yet introduced himself to, though decides best it wait till he wasn't a giant dog to do so. Ebele would nod facing Kerric's direction, accepting the staff he'd provide. Staves were something she was quite comfortable with and hoped to master, so she felt confident starting with the padded training ones. They provided the different weight and feel that the elf suggested would simulate spear or sword combat, which was one of the goals. Learning Kerric's ways of the elven warriors was a privilege and honour to her, respecting the idea that they're essentially trading 'trade secrets'. So she was attentive and listened intently, but didn't mean she wouldn't let herself have some fun. "I'll be taking away your sight completely." She'd smile softly.
Ebele would listen for the inhale and exhale of Kerric's breaths, the shuffle of his steps, the sound of the staff cutting through the air, and any other tell tale sound of his movements. She'd try her best to emulate what she heard, attempting to recreate the elf's swing.

Should they spar, the monk would normally begin dodging by instinct, but at the start of this exercise she wanted to focus on parrying to judge the direction, style and impact of the strikes to get the hang of the movements. Should the opportunity arise, she'd make her attempt at a counterattack.
T'chal'fronack'zcinicker looks at the bodies they’ve dug up. Assumes xalkas shares the info about the Mirabar symbol he scratches his head. “I’ll be back.” He grabs his clothes, taking a moment to dust his hands off and then redresses as he heads to camp. Once there he heads over to Ebele and kerric. “We found some fresh graves up at the top with two bodies from the mirabar folks and two other bodies that we’re not sure about. Either way, you should both come take a look.”
