“Oh! I thought I smelt it close by.” Ebele would chuckle softly when their Satyr would hand her back her wineskin. “I can always make more, so long as I have berries and willing bellies.” She’d assure. And without skipping a beat, the monk would follow Kerric’s instructions to take the other side of the wagon to provide him with his requested assistance. As they pulled and Rehgys sang, the half-elf couldn’t help but chime in when she caught on. Not that she expected to make anything better, but she enjoyed it all the same.

Upon arriving back to town and they were able to let go of the wagon, Ebele would immediately start stretching out her muscles and rolling her neck. She’d wipe sweat from her brow, satisfied to have been able to complete some physical activity before the end of the day. Once done stretching, the monk will rest with her hands on her hips. Her ears will perk when she’d hear Mr T. Get right to business. Pointing a thumb in his direction, she’d mouth to the others, “I can get use to him doing this.”
The constable looks dumbfounded listening to the tiefling. After telling his assistants to take the prisoners he stares at T'chal for a moment
"The deal was 15 total plus you get whatever you recover to do with as you please. But i did also manage to secure you 3 rooms at the Sword should you choose."
"Most generous of you, Constable," says Kerric. "I leave it in your capable hands, T'chal'fronack'zcinicker, to handle the coin and divide it equitably. Perhaps after a filling meal and a good night's rest, we can take the weapons and foodstuffs we don't need around town and you can show us your best bargaining skills to maximize our income?" he continues, smiling at the legalistic archer.

He gives the constable a knowing wink, "But of course, that is completely up to you if you decide to pay the meagre bonus fee."

Either way, once the negotiation is complete, T'chal'fronack'zcinicker nods to Kerric solemly. "Of course, I certainly will. And to show all of you good faith, I will happily perform logistical services for a very reduced rate of only 1% for the time being. I will quickly go about the town disposing of the various loot in exchange for cash. Do we wish to keep any of these daggers, bows, or other weapons? And the wagon? Or should I sell the wagon as well? And of course the cage. It will fetch a nominal price I presume."
Xalkas pipes up “If there is a dagger, I should like to keep the one in the best condition. As a matter of personal defense.” Holding out his staff “Some things are more frightened by pointy objects than sticks.”
”I’m not sure what use we would have for the cage in the future. Though it wouldn’t hurt to hang on to both it and the wagon for future use. They both proved exceptionally useful today. Perhaps in the morning we can set about finding a few animals to pull it on our next journey.” Xalkas gives a small shudder at the memory of having to pull the wagon manually.
Xalkas then pulls T'chal'fronack'zcinicker away from the main group and says in a whisper “If we come upon anything that looks to have a ... arcane element... to it. I should like to have a look at it first.” Then at a regular speaking volume, “How much coin do we get to add to our pouches today?”
Reghys is exhausted after schlepping the cart back to town. They are not used to lugging around heavy objects, and despite the muscly goat's legs, their overall frame is delicate. Reghys can't help but give a sigh of relief, as the group reaches the town. Unwilling to concern themselves with the haggling over their rendered services, the satyr perks up about the rooms, and heads directly for the inn, hoping to be able to deposit their things in one of the rooms, before returning to the tavern with their instruments for the evening.
Entering the inn, Reghys gives abeaming smile to the presumed proprietor behind the entry desk: "Good evening. The name's Reghys, and I represent the group of adventurers your constable had already made arrangements for. I would like to see the rooms, and if possible deposit my affairs for the evening. I'm hoping at least one of the beds is close to a window, see, as a creature of Sylvan origin, I like to be able to see the moon and the stars when I bed down. Well, either that, or the bottom of a mug of ale, ey?" The last part was added with a jovial wink.
"Because you seem friendly, here's a tip. There's a tiefling in our company, very legal minded. Refer him to the constable when he starts to speak of any arrangements and agreements, documents or formalities. I promise you, it'll save you tons of headache. In return, all I ask is that you refer to him as Mr T, no matter what he tells you. There's a silver in it for you, if you do." With that, Reghys produces the promised coin, and gives another smile.
