Hawke flounders from the rocking waves, unable to maintain enough grip to pull his sopping frame up onto the dock. Though, still hanging on to Ebele’s helping hand, he’d able to pass on a hint of healing magic to the monk.
(I used Ebele’s turn to help him, so I know that used up her action. I believe climbing technically would be movement for Hawke. I’m thinking it uses your whole movement to fail, but can still use an action? More experienced people correct me if I’m wrong.)
Pete and his companion snicker to themselves as they witness the other river boat teams antics. Prepping yet another bolt, he takes aim for the shiny elf who’s not looking so hot.
(I think technically you can "Dash" for your action and get another 30 feet of movement, and if the DM let's you, then another kick at the can trying to climb up...)

With a nod of thanks to T'chal'fronack'zcinicker for the healing, the much-punctured elven warrior starts forward to engage the remaining enemies--when a crossbow bolt passes straight through his left thigh! Barely holding on (thanks to that healing), Kerric moves up determinedly despite his many wounds and engages Pete with a vicious swing!
Argent Elven Curved Blade: Attack: 25 Damage: 14
"At least I gave as good as I got before he took me down," thinks Kerric, trying valiantly to keep his feet with multiple crossbow bolts sticking out of him.
Kerric pressed forward through the pain, bringing himself toe to toe with Pete. With an accurate swing, the warrior cuts the thug deep, his elven blade slicing through any armour almost as if it were butter. Although bleeding from a massive gash, Pete still has plenty of fight left in him.
Hawke gave it a good try, but soon learned it was definitely a lot harder than expected. Apple picking sure used up a lot of the druids lucky rolls strength. A snort mixed with a grunt would escape Ebele as she'd do her best to help the Kalashtar up onto the dock. He'd squirm a little more than necessary in his slipping, having the monk imagine the druid floundering like a soaked cat trying to get out of water.
Although Hawke was struggling, Ebele felt his magic surge through her sore limbs and mend her wounds further. She was able to take an even less laboured breath. He really provided her with a second wind. "Thank you." Her hand would squeeze his in gratitude. Then when the sound of Kerric taking a bolt reached her ears, her head would tilt in further concern when she'd hear him shuffle forward. Facing back to Hawke, the monks brows were raised in concern. Kerric was in trouble and needed help. Her mouth would quiver, really not wanting to abandon the druid after saving her. Exhaling a breath and giving Hawke's hand another squeeze, she'd quote a poster, imagining a panther instead of a kitten. "Hang in there!" Her lip would tug in a small smirk before giving his hand a pat and running off to where she heard Kerric's strike. He'd understand.
Ebele skids across the dock and onto the boat to find herself at Kerric's side. Rocking a little as she'd register her sea legs and feel for him, once she was balanced, the monk would pull out her healers kit. "I am here, Kerric." She'd repeat the same words he gave her. After shoving some herbs in her mouth to chew a poultice, nimble hands would feel for his most severe wounds, making the quickest assessments on the fly to begin tending and then patching the wounds. She was paying forward the healing, help and protection she received.
On Kerric Action: Healer Healing 8 + additional HP equal to Kerric's maximum number of Hit Dice
Friendly Reminder: I believe Kerric still has a Bardic Inspiration from Reghys (1d6 one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw)
The second river bandit would go wide eyed, not expecting the bloodied armoured elf to continue their way. He'd gulp wanting to take a step back, but Pete wouldn't allow it. Therefore the river bandit would exchange his crossbow for his scimitar. He felt forced to take his chances to try to find a weak point on the warrior to undo the bandaging his companion had done.
"Thank you, Ebele," grunts Kerric as the pain from his thigh wound greatly recedes. His focus on Pete, he does not dodge as well as he might otherwise, taking a shot from the cultist's scimitar. He grunts in pain and prepares to parry the expected incoming blow from Pete.
OOC: Kerric has regular inspiration and bardic inspiration, but I think it is not the bardic combat inspiration, or he would have added it to damage last round. Don't worry, if he misses an enemy, Kerric will use some inspiration to try and defeat the enemy.
Seeing Ebele and Kerric team up to deal with the right-hand boat, Reghys swallows a building clump in their throat and charges at the left-hand boat, determined to keep Kerric and Ebele's flank secure.
"You're so rotten, I doubt you'd even serve as fishfood." Reghys was just trying to get a rise out of the pirate at this point, anything to help out the others.
