T'chal'fronack'zcinicker reads through the wizards notes quickly, before nodding to Xalkas, "Indeed, seems quite dangerous." He slips the powerful artifact into his bag of holding and turns back in time to see Kerric slip beneath the surface. "Do we all go, or....do we wait?" He touches his hat and brushes the front of his jacket, clearly unwilling to get wet.

“I’m up for waiting” Xalkas pipes up. Not wanting to get himself or his papers/belongings soaking wet. “Though I suppose if I’m needed I shall go and leave whatever I don’t want to get wet here with someone.”
T'chal'fronack'zcinicker shuffles from side to side. Clearly something is eating at him. Perhaps that IS the treasure room on the other side. There may be a lot of inventory work to be done, and he can't do it hiding over here. But...being wet is pretty much the worst. He shuffles uncomfortably for some time after Kerric vanishes beneath the cold water before eventually growling exasperatedly out loud. He pulls his hat off, shoves it into his bag, ties the top of the bag up tight and says, "I'll make sure they don't get into trouble..."
With that, he gingerly lowers himself into the water, making quiet hissing noises as the water embraces his warm body, and soaks into his suit jacket, and then takes a deep breath and slips down the tunnel after the other two.

Flux gives the signal to Kerric prior to slipping free of the rope and proceeds to resurface in the new chamber. There's a brief moment as he's swimming to the shore that he feels a slight change of current tickle his toes just as he pulls himself to shore. Perhaps it was nothing. In his excitement, Flux swaggers along the shore to the coffers. While a bit rusty, they did not prove to be that difficult to open considering they weren't locked.
(However the DM does amuse herself imagining Flux gnawing on one to coat it in acidic slobber for T'chal'fronack'zcinicker to potentially discover.)

With the signal, Kerric prompts the others prior to getting into the water himself. Even with his heavy armour weighing him down, the elf's powerful muscles compensate making for easy strokes. He pulls himself through the dark tunnel with very little effort and comes out the other side into the clear deep spring that fills up this natural cavern fed by the aquifers porous rocks below. A warm water current wades by. Looking up, Kerric can see the water's surface and the blurred silhouette of a now familiar companion, Flux. Did he pee in the pool?
Ebele finally manages to finish self-soothing herself from having been immersed and struck by her greatest of fears. While she was still slightly on edge, the shaking at least stopped. Besides, there was no time for her to be sensitive. Everyone was already moving on to focus on treasures. However, she could really use a drink... but the monk was reminded she was completely out of her brews. Exhaling a breath, Ebele finally picks herself up off the bloodied and wet ground to take tentative steps closer towards the waters edge where she heard Kerric disappear.
It was at this time that T'chal'fronack'zcinicker had finished 'psyching' himself up to face one of his greatest discomforts, water. While he cautiously lowers himself into the water, hissing the whole time, Xalkas and Lewin choose to remain ashore at this time. Lewin keeps a passive eye on the water while offering water breathing to his new companions. Then with a deep breath of his own, T'chal'fronack'zcinicker slips below the surface.
Ebele shifts uncomfortably, unable to bring herself directly to the edge to test the water. She has to lay herself down onto her stomach to drag herself closer. The half-elf lays her head against the cold, wet stone and listens to the water instead.
Now submerged in the water, T'chal'fronack'zcinicker manages to make out Kerric's shiny armour get swallowed up by the dark tunnel as he makes his way through. Knowing where he needs to go, the tiefling follows after him. Reaching the submerged corridor, T'chal'fronack'zcinicker is introduced to a wave of warmth. It must have trailed from behind the others... Weird... Did someone...

Which honestly shouldn't be all that long, as it's only a measly one hundred foot or so swim. Lewin shoves his face into the water so fast he bops his forehead against the wall, discombobulating him a bit. Although quite literally turned around at first, he manages to reorient himself enough to act quickly to Ebele’s warning. His dark vision allows him to navigate the waters to see into the tunnel with no issues. He can spot the tiefling, but he just appears alone, ‘gliding away’ feet first?
While plenty distracted by admiring the treasure hoard all by himself, Flux’s instincts nudge at him. Even land lovers shouldn’t take this long to surface, right? It was a little bit of a swim, but not that long. At minimum the armoured elf that followed should have surfaced above the water by now, right? A few bubbles then rise and pop at the surface of the water.
Considering all the non-water proofed equipment he carried, Xalkas shed it surprisingly quickly to get into the water.

After performing a few mental gymnastics considering the pros and cons of going back to check up on Kerric, if not the group as a whole, as it wasn't beyond the possibility of more cultist having shown up in his absence, Flux decided to.... take a few moments more to weigh the coffers and satchel. And if he found their overall weight to be bearable enough to carry them back, then it is done so grudgingly after meticulous putting things either away in his own pack(in the case of the coffers contents), as well as securing the satchels to his person. Only after all that's done would he so much as bother with looking to submerge himself once more and find out what's all the hub bub was about..
(OOC: Though I half-figured the coffers to be of a bed chest size, I've seen some on the smaller end of the spectrum too. So if its the coffers are on the larger side, then he wouldn't bother trying to weight them, but instead move immediately to stuffing his back with the coin and such and spending his action all the same making sure everything is secure.)

Lewin, confused, and not excited about a water fight, nevertheless cannonballs into the pool, lanky limbs flailing about awkwardly in his dark robe and chitinous scale mail. The pale firbolg makes a big splash, and then in an instant, turns into adolphin.
The sleek cetacean has black lines, almost calligraphy, running down his back, and it bolts forward through the water, toward the oddly-moving tiefling (60 feet swim speed). You all hear a PING and some squeaking as his echolocation gets going and he tries to get a sense of what's going on, what he can't see (blindsight 60 feet).
(While I know Lewin is completely the opposite build... and I don't know if any one will know what I'm referencing but... I love this show. DM is amusing herself being reminded of this scene from Inside Job with Glenn Dolphman:)
Dolph-Lewin zips through the water and navigates the tunnel with ease. With significantly stronger, and natural, echo location than the blinded monk, the druid chatters and squeaks. He successfully pings the area, locating an additional being within the aquifer chamber. It's practically water itself! An elemental guardian of sorts, and it was whisking their tiefling away by the ankles. Oh hey, there's his hat floating by.
Weighing the coffers and satchels, it was quite unfortunate that he probably couldn't take all of the iron chests in one trip as some were quite bulky. However, there were two that stood out. While they were nothing magical or 'special' in that sense, they were well made, crafted with care and looked pretty cool, depending on ones aesthetic taste. One was medium sized and incredibly sturdy, which held the two satchels containing the tomes he identified were written in Dethek. The smaller 'trinket' coffer which held the coin was much more intricate and detailed in design.
