Flux's thorough medical review determines that they've been down here for at least a few days without a meal and water. Some food, hydration and rest would be all that'd be required to fill a doctor's order. Besides being unconscious from being severely dehydrated and famished, they all appear relatively unharmed considering the Rust Monster that had emerged from the pit earlier. Two of them wore robes while the other wore light clothing. Their lack of precious metals would be the explanation as to why they weren't targets for the beast's lunch, and why it so ravenously targeted Kerric's quality armour.
The rusty manacles that hold them are secured by cotter pins that are easy to remove, but the captives can’t reach them.
"Hmn... The pins, Jolly stiff."Flux points to the pins, if Lewin hadn't already figured out the mechanism by then. "Kekeke! These a sorry lot to be sure. But nothing a bit of food, water, and tlc wouldn't cure in matter of days. I'd say wait 'till they've awoken on their own at least 'fore tend'n to'em, but I leave that up to you lot."The Water Genasi on that note backed away and plopped down on the ground with his back against the 'cell' wall closest to the way they entered the area. "But i'd keep the food and water to the minimum, or at least don't let'em rush in fattening those stomachs again. Not unless you wanna make'm sick!"He adds with a chuckle to his voice.

The releasing and subsequent moving of the prisoners elicit the occasional moan and groan from the individuals sore and stiff limbs. Meanwhile Leonardo exhales a breath, corrects their monocles, licks their finger and proceeds to casually thumb through the pages for their notebook. They take their time, turning page by page until they go back far enough to find some notes. “Ah yes. It appears two are fire cultists, while the third is a riverboat crewman captured a few days ago by the Crushing Wave river crew.”
"Well, maybe not the most comfortable of biovacks, but I've been in worse, and it appears defensible. Let's take our rest and see what we can learn from the former captives. We haven't run across the fire cultists yet, but perhaps these will offer us some small education on their objectives and methods," says Kerric, finally sliding down into the hidden location and casting about for a place to take his ease.

One by one, as each individual climbs into the moist pit, one easily comes to realize that there's actually limited room down here. It would be a hard as rock and a tight fit, and some people may need to share some personal space, but everyone would technically fit. Kerric surfs down the side into place while Flux makes himself quite comfortable. Multiple days worth of fight or flight body odors of at least eight or more individuals waft through the space.
"I'll uh... I'll take watch up here..." Ebele decides to forgo her place in the pit, taking up a post above with her pole.
"Suit yourself, savior."Called out an already half-asleep Flux, prior to snuggling up more against the wall. All the while seeming unbothered by the smell, let alone the eventual clarification about the nature of their recently rescued prisoners. But true to his intent, unless someone goes out of there way to wake him up for some randomly chosen watch, the water genasi happily makes the most out of the cramped quarters to sleep and dream about sailing a ship through turbulent waters...

Lewin says, "do we need to be concerned about what these new people will do when they are more capable? I can heal them." He grants Vigilant Blessing to Celeste, who's staying outside (adv on next initiative roll). He also casts detect magic and looks around the pit and at the people in it. He could really use some rest but he's curious if the fire cultists will be a problem. He grants Balm of the Summer Court to the riverboat crewman, for 3hp plus 1 temp hp.
Lewin’s senses don’t detect anything outside of his own companions wares. While he administers gentle healing to the riverboat crewman, he’d be free to ponder about what he may know about fire cultists.

(All good! Just teasing :3 )
Lewin’s question is met with silence in the pit. As if evaporating with the mist, so did the groups ‘consciousness’. It was a very long tour through the Crushing Wave layer followed by weaving through a channel to negotiate their way into a moist prisoner hole. Flux’s satisfied snores fill the comfy chasm, lulling the rest of the party and leading them through a nights rest.
Long Rest Achieved! (Smash that long rest)
It was comforting in the little space. You have the sweetest of dreams tugging at your rousing mind. Toasty and warm, as if the sun was waking up with you. You smell the smoke and hear the crackling of the fire nearby. Ahh yes, your favourite morning brew and some homemade breakfast in bed would be nice. Warmth grew to hot. No don’t burn it!
Two roaring bonfires nip at your toes and threaten to steam burn your flesh!
Two bonfires burn at Lewin, Flux and Kerric's feet, inflicting aggressive burns through to the souls of their feet. The longer they left their little hams to cook, the higher degree of burns they will subject themselves too!
Sniff sniff. Were they cooking breakfast without her!? Ebele jumps to her feet and goes to take a few steps closer to the pits edge. That's an unnecessarily large fire... She'd think to herself as her nose would come into contact with the concentrated smells emanating from it's fuel source. Within moments of that, she'd come to hear the fire cultists Lewin freed, climbing out of the hole. "Aye..." She strides over in a bit of a huff, putting herself directly in front of them both. "Where do yous think you're going?" The offended, and hungry monk jabs her staff into the ribs of one of them, and then proceeds to poke the other one in the chest. Maybe she was a little rough... Both fire cultist's loose their balance and tumble backwards, back into the pit with thuds.
Suddenly gut wrenching screams erupt from the core of the flames.
Pulling his feet out of the fire, Kerric grabs for his trusty Elven Curved Blade. Instead of attacking, though, he pulls his nearest ally out of the fire, struggling to stand in the cramped confines.

After some scrambling and stumbling likely a bit of pulling at those nearby to try and lift himself up out of the fire quickly, Flux only stops cursing int he various tongues known to him once his precious hams are out of the fire. After which he barks out, forgetting all about the whole the previous goal of trying to be discrete, "Alright, alright! Who was it? Which one of ya's decide to sleep on the job?! Lewin scrabbles away from the fire, eyes alert, and puts out anything burning on his body. He peers into the flames at whatever is screaming inside. Once everyone is no longer on fire, he uses thaumaturgy to dim the flames to as diminutive a level as he can manage. "What happened?" he says, as the fire cultists fall back into the pit.
It would eventually dawn on those awoken, and subsequently burned by the fires, that it was the fire cultists who set them. They were trying to make an escape when confronted by the groups ‘body guard’ up above. Now they lay on their backs prone, groaning at the bottom of the pit, on the opposite side of the flames from the group.
“AYE! For Valkner’s, an’ your sake, you better not be eating a proper meal without me!” Flux is met with an equally confused, yet fiery morning response from the blinded guardian. “I did all the watching!” No one stepped in to relieve Ebele for duty.
Through the chaos as he’s trying to dull the flames of a pair of magically set bonfires, Lewin comes to realize that the riverboat captain is being burned alive amongst the flames. He’s screaming in agony.
